This SL500 comes equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine with 302 HP, 7 speed automatic transmission with paddle-shifting option, Active Body Control (ABC) suspension system, 4 wheel ABS, self-leveling Bi-Xenon headlights, high pressure headlight washers, fog lights, variable rain sensing intermittent wipers and heated/power mirrors. Interior cabin features include power/heated leather seats with memory and power adjustable lumbar support, clock, external temperature display, tachometer, speedometer that tops out at 160 MPH, low fuel level warning, 6 CD changer, audio control on wood-trim steering wheel, active charcoal cabin air filter, dual climate control, leather and wood trim on doors, center console and steering wheel and an awesome Bose premium sound system. This SL500 is in excellent condition. Having always been a Florida car, there is no rust and no dents or dings on the body. It has a clean Carfax which also documents that routine maintenance has been completed at recommended intervals at a Mercedes dealership.The windows are excellent with no scratches on the glass. There are a few very minor scratches on the body which you would expect from a used vehicle but they are difficult to see. The interior is near-perfect with the driver’s seat showing just a tad bit of wear but no rips, tears or other unsightly defects. These SL500s are beautiful cars and they look fast even while parked. If you want an awesome, worry-free SL500, then this is the car for you.

2013 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT Coupe

Mercedes-Benz upgraded its SLS flagship Coupe and Roadster for the 2013 model year, and the changes are marked with them new "GT" nomenclature. Both SLS models arrive with a retuned naturally aspired 6.2-liter V8 delivering 583 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque (the horses are up from 563, but the torque remains the same) mated to a revised seven-speed AMG Speedshift dual-clutch gearbox. Rounding out the mechanical upgrades is a redeveloped AMG two-mode adaptive suspension. Physically, the revised models are differentiated by their new "GT" badging, darkened headlight/taillight buckets, red brake calipers, unique wheel colors and high gloss finish on the front grille, exterior mirrors and hood/fender fins. Inside the cabin are new red seatbelts, Alcantara upholstery and contrasting red stitching.
As it is nearly impossible to experience the aluminum gullwing beast on public roads, Mercedes invited out to Southern California's Willow Springs to wring out the 2013 SLS GT Coupe on a racing circuit.
2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec gets 33 mpg, priced from $38,950*
Tue, 30 Apr 2013It's been more than a year since we first saw the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show, but it looks like the compact diesel crossover is finally starting to roll into dealerships. Those wanting to buy a diesel GLK will only have to pony up an extra $1,500 over a base, gas-powered GLK350, as the GLK250's starting price is listed at $38,590 (*not including $905 destination charge).
The turbocharged 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel produces 200 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and Mercedes-Benz has also provided some fuel economy numbers for this model, with claimed EPA estimates of 24 miles per gallon city and 33 mpg highway. There is no listing for the GLK250 on the EPA's website yet, but the figures represent significant increase over the GLK350's lackluster 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway figures, which are for the rear-wheel drive model. The GLK250 comes standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system - a $2,000 option on GLK350 - meaning that if you want an all-wheel-drive version of the 2013 GLK, it's actually cheaper to opt for the diesel model. Mercedes-Benz killing Maybach in 2013, replacing with S600 Pullman
Fri, 25 Nov 2011According to an unnamed Mercedes-Benz source speaking with AutoWeek, the German automaker is killing off its Maybach line in 2013.
The unsurprising news comes after the brand was resurrected in 2002, but failed to meet sales expectations with its two core models, the Maybach 57 and 62. Further solidifying its fate, a deal with Aston Martin to aid in the development of future Maybachs fell through earlier this year.
According to the AutoWeek insider, the plan is to continue to sell both Maybach models through the end of 2013, after which the fifth-generation S-Class will go on sale. When that happens, three new variants of the S-Class will be available, including an all-new, range-topping S600 that brings back the Pullman moniker and may be better suited to competing with the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce.
