Mercedes Benz Amg Sl55 Cleanest 27k Miles, Loaded, Panoramic, Ecu Tune & Pulley on 2040-cars
Clearwater, Florida, United States
What's up all. I spent over a year hunting down this combo, and scooped
it up the minute I did. Anyone who appreciates this car, color &
options understands that it's a needle in a haystack, especially w/
these miles.
Long story short: 2004 SL55, CLEAN TITLE, NO ACCIDENTS, it's only been in CA & FL, and always garaged it's whole life. Car is in FL near Clearwater. 27,3xx on the Odometer. CLEAN, CLEAN, NO STORIES, I had MB of Miami PPI (pre purchase Inspection-- still have docs) the car before I bought it, had one leak, the previous owner spent $265 to repair it, and I scooped this bad boy up! ALL MAINTENANCE UP TO DATE, NEEDS NOTHING, LIKE A SUPERCHARGED FREIGHT TRAIN ON RAILS! Numerous parts preventatively' replaced! DESIGNO (my VMI says "Magno Alanite..BUT the paint code is 762) Diamond Silver.. Interior Berry Red, Ash Black wood grain.
If you're ready now, cash in hand or pre-approved loan, and want to make an offer close to my asking price, I'd be glad to consider it, thank you... Sale Does Not include AMG Monoblock II's shown in photos; included are the stock AMG 18", staggered 5-spokes, few nicks on a wheel or two, and needs front tires. There are the smallest of paint nicks, touched up chips (I have about 5 photos) or clear coat scratches on the car, that is the extent of the "issues" it has, and none are in conspicuous areas, as I'm a picky individual..hence stalking, locating, and acquiring this specific color combo. My expectation of a "Fair" price is a mix of Manheim (AUCTION/WHOLESALE) numbers, in consideration with what I see private party and retailers asking.. I see LOTS of SL55's with way more miles asking the same as or more than I am (maybe because of a few mods or the likes)...however those cars are far more mundane color & option combos. So if you don't find that formula fair..you're looking at the wrong seller's car :) I respect this unique find too much to just "give" her away, however I'm fair & reasonable, so contact me with any offers, questions, etc.. Ready to give my mechanic's phone number at your request, or will bring the car to any authorized MB dealership w/in 20 miles, if you want to have a Pre-purchase inspection performed at your expense. Contact me anytime with any questions. Car is located near Clearwater, FL. ** Car is driven daily less than 1 mile, if that, and then occasionally on weekends, so mileage from the time of the original ad listing will vary by a bit) ** JDM RHD M BMW Jaguar Lexus 335i 335is 550i 535i M5 M6 M3 M4 S550 S55 S63 E55 E63 C63 E550 E500 E350 CL500 CL 55 600 65 SL500 Sl 550 600 Mercedes Benz XJ XKR 645i 650i A6 A8 S6 S8 A4 S4 S5 A5 A7 S7 RS6 Porsche 911 s4 S aristo soarer Turbo R230 Supercharged W212 W211 W215 W216 |

Mercedes-Benz engines with 48-volt systems coming in 2017
Tue, Jun 14 2016As part of a big green push announced yesterday, Mercedes-Benz is jumping into the world of 48-volt power. The company will launch a new family of efficient gasoline engines next year and will begin rolling out 48-volt systems with it, likely in its more expensive cars first. Mercedes will use the 48-volt systems to power mild-hybrid functions like energy recuperation (commonly called brake regeneration), engine stop-start, electric boost, and even moving a car from a stop on electric power alone. These features will be enabled through either an integrated starter-generator (Mercedes abbreviates it ISG) or a belt-driven generator (RSG). (RSG is from the German word for belt-driven generator, Riemenstartergeneratoren. That's your language lesson for the day.) Mercedes didn't offer many other details on the new family of engines. There are 48-volt systems already in production; Audi's three-compressor SQ7 engine uses an electric supercharger run by a 48-volt system, and there's a new SQ5 diesel on the horizon that will use a similar setup with the medium-voltage system. Electric superchargers require a lot of juice, which can be fed by either a supercapacitor or batteries in a 48-volt system. Why 48-volt Matters: Current hybrid and battery-electric vehicles make use of very high voltages in their batteries, motors, and the wiring that connects them, usually around 200 to 600 volts. The high voltage gives them enough power to move a big vehicle, but it also creates safety issues. The way to mitigate those safety issues is with added equipment, and that increases both cost and weight. You can see where this is going. By switching to a 48-volt system, the high-voltage issues go away and the electrical architecture benefits from four times the voltage of a normal vehicle system and uses the same current, providing four times the power. The electrical architecture will cost more than a 12-volt system but less than the complex and more dangerous systems in current electrified vehicles. The added cost makes sense now because automakers are running out of ways to wisely spend money for efficiency gains. Cars can retain a cheaper 12-volt battery for lower-power accessories and run the high-draw systems on the 48-volt circuit. The industry is moving toward 48-volt power, with the SAE working on a standard for the systems and Delphi claiming a 10-percent increase in fuel economy for cars that make the switch.

Mercedes mulling Renault-based entry-level X-Class?
Sun, 17 Mar 2013Somewhere in between the Smart brand and the all-new A-Class (pictured above), Daimler is said to be readying a smaller entry-level product for the Mercedes-Benz brand to compete with models like the Audi A1. According to AutoBild, Mercedes-Benz will get a new hatchback based on a platform from its recent partnership with Renault-Nissan, and it could be called the X-Class.
Expected to debut by 2018, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class could be offered in sedan, hatchback and crossover variants, and it would likely have a starting price below the $20,000-euro mark. Power would come from either a 1.0-liter inline three-cylinder engine or a 1.5-liter inline-four, and the car would likely be built in a low-cost nation in order to make the financials work. Wearing the Mercedes-Benz name, the X-Class would have to exhibit more distinguishable luxury and styling to set itself apart from the models that helped provide its underpinnings.
