This cherished second-owner roadster is a meticulously-maintained, garage-kept example that starts and drives beautifully and has been driven for only 50,400 miles since new. Always a California car, it has no rust whatsoever. And it is completely stock except for the chrome wheels, which were an upgraded option.
There are no dings, dents or "hanger rash" along the sides of the sparkling butter yellow body.
The interior is tan and the leather shows no wear.
It has rarely been parked in the sun, so there are NO cracks in the dash!
The previous owner never drove the car without the Pagoda hard top, so when I bought this roadster, the brown soft top had never seen the light of day and is, therefore like new with a clear rear window. I use a hoist in my garage to remove and store the hard top and the hoist is included in the price.
I put a lot of money into this car, expecting to keep it for many years and careful to keep it all stock. Now I am retiring and moving to an area where it won't be practical, so I am offering it to a new care-taker.
Just mentioning some of the work that's been done: it has a new radiator, new fuel pump, new battery, new water pump, recent complete transmission service with necessary parts replacement, and best general maintenance as necessary by the valley's most respected independent Mercedes shop. The AC runs cold. All receipts and service history since new are included, so you can see the complete list of what's been done; including the original window sticker.
This exceptional roadster can be seen and driven at your convenience in North Hollywood, CA during the weekends, or in Studio City, CA weekdays. Or you can contact me with questions you may have.
This LOW MILEAGE and GREAT CONDITION is a rare find.

Maybach officially discontinues all models for 2013
Tue, 14 Aug 2012The word "Maybach" has joined the long list of synonyms for the word "kaput." Mercedes-Benz released the price list for the 2013 models of its super-luxury sedans, with the price column simply stating "Discontinued" for each one of them.
The 2012 models, should there be any left for 11th-hour buyers, maintain the increased MSRPs that Daimler slapped on them late last year after it was known the brand would be terminated next year. But you might still be able to wrangle that $100,000 rebate if you ask nicely, or in Russian, or have Rick Ross ask for you.
It shouldn't be too long before we see the ultimate version of the next generation S-Class, the S600 Pullman, that will replace Maybach. Intriguingly, it's said the Pullman will be offered with every S-Class engine, even the four-cylinder diesel.
Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG spied in Sweden
Wed, 16 Jan 2013We've spotted the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLA testing a couple times in recent months in getting closer to production form and shedding camouflage, but now it looks like we're see our first look at the AMG version of this compact crossover. The low ride height might trick some into thinking that we're just seeing the already-confirmed A45 AMG out testing, but the unique beltline, rear doors and side windows confirm this is some version of the GLA-Class.
What makes us so confident that this is the AMG model? Well, for starters, this prototype has beefier brakes with cross-drilled front and rear rotors and bigger front calipers, but it also sports dual exhaust outlets poking through the rear fascia and a suspension that has been lowered considerably. Our spy shooters said that this car's exhaust note made it almost certainly an AMG model.
Just to be clear, the GLA AMG will not be powered by a 4.5-liter engine. The closely related A45 AMG will carry the "45" in its name to celebrate the first 45 years of AMG, and our sources seem to indicate the AMG version of the GLA will do the same. We're expecting this sporty crossover to produce as much as 350 horsepower from its AMG-tuned four-cylinder engine, and like the all-new E63 AMG, it could very well come standard with 4Matic all-wheel drive.
Daimler employees can set email to auto-delete during vacation
Mon, 18 Aug 2014The Internet has shrunk the world in terms of the way people communicate by making it possible to send an email from Oslo and have it show up in Cleveland almost immediately. But that instant contact has wrecked the work/life balance for many. They get home from a long day at the office, yet they can never fully put their feet up and relax because another hour or more of checking and replying to emails awaits. However, German automotive giant Daimler is putting an end to that churn, at least while its employees are on vacation.
About 100,000 Daimler employees in Germany are eligible to opt-in to a new program called Mail on Holiday, according to The Atlantic. When the workers go on vacation, they can switch it on, and the service auto-deletes all of their incoming email. "Our employees should relax on holiday and not read work-related emails," said Wilfried Porth, board member for human resources, to The Financial Times as cited by The Atlantic.
Mail on Holiday puts a thumb on the scale of work/life balance in favor of a little more free time. The system means that Daimler employees shouldn't even be tempted to check their email on vacation because there's nothing there - and it also avoids them coming back from a relaxing holiday only to find a mailbox packed full of hundreds of unread messages. These days, people are absolutely obsessed with their work, often to the detriment of their health, not to mention spending time with their families and friends. On one hand, Mail on Holiday sounds like the sort of vacation breakthrough we'd need to truly unplug and unwind, but on the other hand, it makes our skin crawl just thinking about the lack of communication.
