Very nice low miles 2003 Mercedes SL55 AMG. Car have 68,XXX miles. Car comes with two set of rims, original AMG 18" wheels with 80% tread left and 20" rims with only 1000 miles on them. Car over all is in VERY good condition mechanically and cosmetically. Car just had a new ABC pump installed (cost $2400).This pump raises and lower the car with a push of a button ( oem from factory). Pump are known to break down on these cars around 60k. Now that its fixed one less worries for new buyer. Car also have existing warranty and is transferable to new owner. I bought the car for my wife as a wedding gift surprise, but she do not like it and now want a Mercedes GL. Only have the car for 3month. Very fun car. Mercedes-Benz S-Class spied once again
Fri, 08 Feb 2013As evidenced by how little camouflage the next-generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class has been caught wearing lately, it can't be too much longer until the car will get its official debut. In our newest shots of the yacht-sized luxo sedan, the cladding still covers up the headlights, front fascia and most of the rear end, but we finally have an almost undisguised look at the rest of the car's lines.
Considering previous spy shots had more camo that better (or fully) concealed the S-Class' body, some of the more obvious things we see in these images include the prominent grille, the CLS-Class-inspired bodyside creases, the pointed trunk opening and, most interestingly, a lack of fancy exhaust outlets. Unlike other S-Class prototypes we've seen, this car does not have integrated outlets, but it does have two pipes on the left side of the car. All current S-Class models in the US and Europe feature a dual exhaust layout on each side of the car, so while some of our questions about the car get answered, it would appear that more are just arising.
Mercedes to market Tesla-powered 2014 B-Class EV in U.S.
Thu, 05 Jul 2012Looks like another Tesla Motors investor will be looking to cash in on their connection. Autoweek reports Mercedes-Benz will offer their B-Class in the U.S. with Tesla propulsion.
The magazine says their source at the German automaker confirms plans for a B-Class electric-only vehicle. While Tesla already provides battery packs for the battery-powered Smart ForTwo, the B-Class EV will reportedly have Tesla batteries, motor and other components. U.S. residents should be able to procure one sometime in 2014.
The same Mercedes source says plans for a hybrid B-Class have been postponed for now. Adding a range-extending, gasoline-powered engine to an electric vehicle would put the car into a different class for which rebates and incentives aren't as favorable in the States.
