See the seller's listing for full details and description of any imperfections.Seller Notes:"The front fender needs repainting, its not bent, just needs paint. The soft top is in great condition except the stitching around the windows has deteriorated and the windows will need replacing. It is likely that the head gasket needs changing, the car uses coolant and there is some oil in the water reservoir; there is NO water in the oil though. The radio display is dark and not visible and the volume control has a mind of its own (common fault!). The central locking is erratic, sometimes the key fob works, sometimes it doesn't! sometimes locking the trunk locks both doors too. Some deterioration of the paint but generally good"

I have got a new car so my beloved Merc' has to go. This car drives great, so smooth, no smoke, air con super cool, gear shifts smoothly, no vibrations, recent tires all round and brakes. The rear drive train recently overhauled too. It has been maintained by a Mercedes specialist garage for over 10 years, I have thousands of dollars of maintenance bills, this car has been loved! This has been my daily driver and never, ever let me down - you can turn up and drive it away; unlike other 'bargains' which have to be trailored away, it starts every time and wants to go! It is surprisingly good on gas too! It is 16 years old so is showing some signs of age, it isn't like new but has been a very reliable and well maintained car. The power roof works perfectly, so does the the cruise control, everything works, all the gauges, whistles and bells. There are three keys (fobs) one of which I believe is the valet key, the other two operate everything. Currently SMOG'ed. I have described its condition as honestly as I can, the photos will show you more. there is no warranty given or implied, it is sold as described but you are most welcome to come and view and drive it before the end of the auction or ask any questions you may have. Remember the factory hard top alone sells for between 500 and 1500 dollars here on E bay, you are getting a LOT of car for your dollars. Payment by Pay Pal or cash in person only, NO exceptions. Payment to be made within 3 days of completion of auction and collection within 6 days of completion of auction. There is no reserve so get bidding, good luck and thanks for looking.

Daimler cutting Mercedes and Smart prices by 18% in Switzerland

Wed, Jan 21 2015

Automakers including Daimler and PSA are now offering substantial discounts in Switzerland to make it more affordable for Swiss customers to buy their cars, according to the latest from Bloomberg. The move, instituted by two of Europe's largest automakers, comes in response to the surprise decision last week by the Swiss National Bank to suddenly abandon its longstanding policy of capping trading of the Swiss Franc to 1.20 francs per euro. The policy has sent the value of the franc soaring, making imports into Switzerland less expensive while increasing the value of its exports. The discounts being offered by the automakers could therefore be viewed more as price adjustments to better match the changing currency value rather than an actual incentive. But whichever way you look at it, a new Mercedes or Smart will now cost Swiss buyers 18 percent less than the list price, while Peugeot and Citroen dealers in the Confoederatio Helvetica are chopping 1,000 francs ($1,144) off the price of a new passenger car or 1,500 francs ($1,716) for a new commercial vehicle. Conversely, high-end Swiss watchmakers like Rolex and Patek Philippe are looking at increasing their prices to keep up with the currency fluctuation, particularly in Japan, where the yen has dropped 17 percent against the franc in the past few days. The BMW M8 leads this month's list of discounts

Mon, Sep 21 2020

Back in June of this year, the BMW 8 Series was the most heavily discounted vehicle in America. This month, it's the 617-horsepower M8. Midsummer buyers of the 2020 BMW M8, which is offered in hardtop, convertible and four-door Gran Coupe bodystyles, were seeing an average of $6,150 cut off the sticker; this month that figure has ballooned all the way to $16,864. That's more than 11% off the car's $150,000-plus retail price, and, according to data provided by TrueCar, it's the largest dollar amount sliced off the retail price of any car for the month of September. Next is the Maserati Quattroporte, buyers of which are saving $15,912 for an average transaction price of $99,763. If that's still too expensive, the smaller Ghibli's $70,030 average transaction price represents a huge 14.5% discount, earning the Italian sedan entry into our monthly top 10 best deals list.  The third largest monetary discount in September comes off the $131,066 sticker price of the lovely 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT. Take $15,473 off that sum for an average transaction price of $115,593. The Mercedes G-Class gets the full Maybach treatment before the curtain finally closes

Mon, Feb 6 2017

Like the hotdog and soda combo at Costco or the official website for the 1996 movie Space Jam, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class has soldiered on nearly unaltered since its birth. Sure, there have been variants like the wonderfully over-the-top G63 6x6, but the G-Wagen is essentially the same squared-off SUV with rifle-bolt locks and doors with enough mass to support a minor gravity field. Spy shots show a replacement is finally on the horizon, but based on the leaked YouTube video above and Instagram post below, it looks like the current model is going to get the full Mercedes-Maybach Landaulet treatment before the curtain finally closes. While there has been no official word from the automaker, all signs point to a genuine Mercedes-Maybach product. The vehicle is badged as a G650, which falls in line with other current V12-powered Mercedes-Maybach products. The Maybach name and badge are found in all the expected places. The license closely matches other Mercedes German-manufacturer plates. The carbon fiber fender flares and portal axles look like they were taken from the G550 4x42. The latter means, despite the increased wheelbase, this new model should still be a formidable off-road machine. This content is hosted by a third party. That means high-quality leather surfaces throughout and an increased focus on rear seat comfort and convenience. If this is indeed a G650, it's packing a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 under the hood that churns out 630 horsepower and 737 pound-feet of torque. The partial convertible top is what gives this the Landaulet moniker. According to the text on this Instagram post, there will only be 99 examples produced. Look for a full reveal in the next few months. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
