Due in part to its popularity and timeless styling, the R107 generation SL remains, even today, the longest running Mercedes SL body style with production models built from 1971 all the way to 1989! Finished in striking Astral Silver (735) with Medium Red Leather (277) interior, this beautifully well kept low mileage 1988 560SL is equipped with a 5.6L fuel-injected aluminum V8 engine producing 227hp and 279 ft lbs of torque! Options include 4-speed automatic transmission, hard top and original black Mercedes convertible top, climate controlled air conditioning, full dash instrumentation with temperature gauge, original Becker Grand Prix Cassette stereo, complete optional first aid kit, factory anti-theft system, power steering, power disc brakes with Anti-Lock Brakes System, cruise control, fog lamps, power windows & locks, power mirror, rear defrost, and 15” forged light alloy wheels with new Kumho all-season radial tires, and much more! This classic and increasingly desirable Mercedes 560SL roadster is in excellent mechanical condition and ready to drive anywhere! The first owner purchased this stunning 560SL from Long Mercedes Benz of Chattanooga, TN on January 1988 where it was serviced regularly through 1998. It remained in Tennessee through March 2012 before spending the last year in southern Florida. It is also complete original owner’s manual & books, factory tool kit, original untouched spare tires, and front license plate bracket. The tires have approximately 2,300 miles on them, and all new front brakes pads, rotors, and sensors were installed 1,100 miles ago. All power features are fully functional and the air conditioning blows cold! With all original paint, interior upholstery, & factory soft top, it truly sets this rare color combination apart from the rest! For the true Mercedes enthusiast there will be few such well cared for roadsters to invest in! All cars are advertised locally and nationally. St. Louis Car Museum reserves the right to end any listing early upon receipt of deposit. Please do not hesitate to call us with questions or to discuss securing a vehicle.
