1987 Mercedes Benz 560sl W/ Soft And Hard Top Low Miles All Original on 2040-cars
Belfast, Maine, United States
This is a beautiful example of the 1987 560SL
Originally sold to the owner of a Ford dealership then to a close friend. The 3rd owner who had the car for about 9 years sold it to me as a next door neighbor and friend. All owners kept the car covered and well maintained. It is a two top car with a brand new German canvass. The convertible top storage area is like brand new. There is NO Rust at all. It has cold a/c , new front and rear brakes, an original Becker Grand Prix radio, new Michelin MXV4 front tires, new engine belts and is in extremely nice condition. Within the last 3 weeks , it has been checked and thoroughly examined by a qualified mechanic and given a " You should never sell this car " ok. I am away constantly and have to sell the car for that reason. It can be driven every day ,(if you don't mind getting it dirty ),or kept in the garage for occasional launches on weekends or holidays. It is extremely powerful and FAST! It would be great if someone bought it and drove it constantly. There are three things that need to be addressed: 1 the two center vents for a/c and heat need to be opened. 2. The antenna is not working but did before the Becker radio was re-installed. Probably forgot to plug it in. 3. Front end alignment because of new Michelins. Peter Keenan - pgkeenan@Hotmail.com |

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series [w/video]
Wed, 13 Mar 2013Now Even Sharper Than The Razor's Edge
There have been five Black Series models since the Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG Black Series introduced itself to European audiences in 2006. Following that, the Black Series club has hosted appearances by the 2008 CLK63 AMG Black Series, the 2009 SL65 AMG Black Series and last year's 2013 C63 AMG Black Series. The sixth member of the group is one we would have thought already was a Black Series car in its standard guise. Right out of the box, the SLS AMG is loud, frenetic, cozy, boisterous and frightfully easy to oversteer. How much more Black did it need to get?
Quite a bit so, apparently. The SLS AMG Black Series has lost weight, gained power and been refitted with upgrades and aero bits from front to rear. If you liked the way it looked before, you'll probably be an even bigger fan of this one. If you thought it looked ungainly, well, this one should stay even further away from pageants. Regardless of where you come down this is the best SLS AMG variant we've driven.
