For sale is a classic Mercedes-Benz 560SL with only 63,480 original miles! This car is beautiful inside and out. The 560SL is accident free and has a clean Carfax. It comes in one of its most elegant, RARE sought after color combinations Champaign Metallic exterior with Tan interior. It is truly a beautiful and elegant car! The paint is really nice and looks deep rich and shiny. There are no scratches, dings, dents or damage. There are a few minor chips in the paint that have been touched up with the factory color. This is a super nice car and you really have to try hard to find any imperfections. The soft top is original German cloth and is in excellent shape with clear windows. The original interior is in great condition and shows only very minimal signs of wear. There is some slight wear on the corner of the rear carpet which is normal for the age of the car. This dash is also original with no fading or cracking. All wood parts and trim look very beautiful with no cracking or peeling. The rims look brand new and the tires have plenty of life left. This Mercedes has no known mechanical issues at all! The a/c is ice cold and the steering is very tight. The 560SL drives and shifts very smooth like you would expect from a low mileage classic Mercedes-Benz. You can tell this 560sl was well cared for and meticulously maintained. Experience the New York Auto Show by drone
Fri, Apr 10 2015The Autoblog team recently returned from wildly running around the Javits Center to cover all the news and debuts at the New York Auto Show. Sometimes, it's nice to take a more serene look at the exhibition floor, though, and the event's organizers are providing that exact opportunity by flying a drone through the hall. Combined with the down-tempo music, this clip feels like a form of automotive meditation. If you're going to miss the show in the Big Apple, the drone also provides a good overview at the exhibition floor, especially at the stands from Lexus, Buick, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and BMW. Mercedes GLE Coupe spotted in almost undisguised AMG form
Wed, Dec 3 2014Say what you will regarding the form and function of the BMW X6, the bottom line is that BMW essentially pioneered a winning formula, sloping a roofline onto an existing model to make a new and highly lucrative) derivative. No wonder rival Mercedes-Benz is clamoring to follow suit with models like the one pictured here. Under development for some time now, the model originally slated to be called the MLC and now expected to be dubbed GLE Coupe looks about ready for its big debut. It's based on the replacement for the current M-Class (to be rechristened GLE) but with that vital sloping roofline to make it more rakish. This particular example seems to be an AMG version and was spied with only minimal camouflage around the front and rear bumpers while undergoing testing in snowy climes. That could be the full-on GLE63 AMG performance variant, or the new AMG Sport model destined to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month. If it's the former, expect it to be packing the same 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 as the new Mercedes-AMG GT, where it produces either 462 horsepower or 510 depending on spec - ready to take on the X6 M and whatever Audi is preparing to throw at it.

As I am about to nod off on my long leg flight from Minneapolis to Anchorage ahead of driving to the Arctic Circle, the friendly twenty-something Alaskan knitting furiously in the seat next to me pauses and says, "When you're driving up there, don't open your windows." In the dead of winter? I hadn't planned on cruising alfresco, but her warning to keep the glazing snugged against the weatherstripping is one I would take to heart. She continues: "If you leave 'em open, a fox is liable to jump right in. There are lots of rabid foxes up there, and they leap into your car and just Go. To. Town." And here I was, thinking that a curious bear or maybe an ill-placed moose in the road was going to be my biggest potential four-legged threat.
