This is my Grandfather Mercedes 380 sl , he bought it many years ago and since then he hasn't used so much, he keep it always in his garage. Now he is traveling a lot so he ask me to sell it for him...so here I am... About the car..Runs smooth and beautiful , engine sounds great! no leaks , smoke or smell...transmission shift just right, it shows 62345 , interior upholstery is in great shape, I notice that the sun visors are missing, and the trim where is the rear view mirror leather is a little crack as show pics. good tires and battery, hard top is great and from the inside on the roof upholstery has a 2 inches rip.Soft top looks little dirt, of been seating he never used ..looks like no one ever use it......A/C works only if you play with the ignition key, I took it last year to a Mercedes dealer they told me that it need to be replace a relay that will cost $250 , I never fix it since my grand dad hasn't used since then....Front fender has little bubble, I try to described the car the best I can...!! Sell as is , also for sale locally I reserve the right to end it before ends... I am open to good offers! Love this car drive excellent ! Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 to debut in Monterey
Mon, Aug 15 2016Mercedes surprised the car world last week when it teased an enormous, Maybach-badged coupe concept. Now we have a name and a debut date. Mercedes released the info in a second teaser image posted to its Facebook page. Called the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 – "Vision" equals concept and "6" denotes the length in meters – the new two-door will debut at Pebble Beach on Thursday. So yeah, here's another reason to get excited about Monterey Car Week. As for the teaser image, it's a head-on shot as opposed to the profile view that Mercedes released last week. The new view supports our theory that the super-skinny mirrors are cameras, and the shot also reveals new styling touches. The most noticeable are the very thin, un-Mercedes-like headlights – they flank a prominent, heavily polished waterfall grille that marks a significant departure from recent Mercedes products. A traditional Mercedes hood ornament sits above the grille's small "Maybach" designation. Kicking up the exposure in Photoshop doesn't reveal too much more detail – unlike last week's profile image – aside from a set of chrome strips that run along the sides of the hood. Autoblog's Monterey Car Week crew ships out for the left coast soon – expect more on the festivities, including the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6's debut, later this week. SRT Viper dukes it out with Mercedes SLS Black Series in new Head 2 Head
Fri, 05 Jul 2013In Episode 36 of Motor Trend's Head 2 Head, now that the Corvette ZR1 is no more, Jonny Lieberman has to look overseas to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series for a challenger with similar philosophy to the SRT Viper: long hood hiding a high-horsepower engine set way back, rear-wheel drive, tiny trunks. That puts the Viper's 8.4-liter V10 with 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque against the SLS AMG's 6.2-liter V8 with 622 hp and 468 lb-ft.
However, the congruences in philosophy and magnitude of numbers doesn't translate to the driving experiences of the two, which are literally and figuratively on different continents. Lieberman gets a handle on the two of them on Northern California roads, Randy Probst then finds out how, and how quickly, they can lap Laguna Seca.
They both get kudos for being improvements on their original sources, but only one of them can take the win. You can find out by watching the video below.
