For over 60 years I have been selling Mercedes Benz’s and other great motorcars for this same location with much pride and enthusiasm. I can not say enough about the condition of this grand classic. We took this motorcar in on a trade from a gentleman who was uncompromising when it came to the upkeep of his pride and joy. It just had a $9,000 120K service in 2012 along with additional service records totaling over $16,000 in 2011. It has a clean carfax, original owners manual and extra set of keys. It is finished in a flawless porcelain white with perfect deep sable brown leather interior. It has a like new factory deep sable brown mohair convertible top along with a matching porcelain white hard top. It is fitted with the everlasting Mercedes 3.8L V8 Bosch fuel injected engine with automatic transmission which gives one economy yet power when needed. It comes with factory climate control air conditioning; power steering/brakes/window lifts to mention a few. The 380SL classic is becoming a very desirable collectible and to find one in this excellent condition is very rare. SRT Viper dukes it out with Mercedes SLS Black Series in new Head 2 Head

In Episode 36 of Motor Trend's Head 2 Head, now that the Corvette ZR1 is no more, Jonny Lieberman has to look overseas to the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series for a challenger with similar philosophy to the SRT Viper: long hood hiding a high-horsepower engine set way back, rear-wheel drive, tiny trunks. That puts the Viper's 8.4-liter V10 with 640 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque against the SLS AMG's 6.2-liter V8 with 622 hp and 468 lb-ft.
However, the congruences in philosophy and magnitude of numbers doesn't translate to the driving experiences of the two, which are literally and figuratively on different continents. Lieberman gets a handle on the two of them on Northern California roads, Randy Probst then finds out how, and how quickly, they can lap Laguna Seca.
They both get kudos for being improvements on their original sources, but only one of them can take the win. You can find out by watching the video below.

Mercedes CLA a sub-$30k car no more

To be honest, the sub-$30,000 Mercedes-Benz CLA was more a theoretical than a real thing. Squeaking in at $100 below that magical threshold, not counting a $925 destination charge, snagging a CLA anywhere near $30k meant exercising extreme self-control with the options catalog. Perhaps with that thinking in mind, Mercedes is set to effectively scrap the entire idea, with Cars Direct claiming the price on a new CLA is set to increase by about five percent, to $31,500. Adding 4Matic all-wheel drive brings the starting price to $33,500. Even the hot CLA45 AMG is getting a price bump, from $47,450 to $48,500. Frankly, it's impossible to miss where Mercedes is coming from with this move, if it actually happens. The CLA has been one of 2014's unmitigated success stories, selling so well that Mercedes has struggled to keep up with demand. Considering that, a modest price hike is to be expected.
