1971 MERCEDES BENZ 280SL MAROON CLASSIC, EXCELLENT EXAMPLE of a well maintained car, an excellent example of the classic 280SL Mercedes Benz Pagoda in Maroon exterior and Black interior with wood accents. This car comes with two tops and the original Becker radio. It also has the optional 3rd seat (Kinder Seat). Every thing works. The body is in perfect shape with no dents. It has Power Steering and 4 disc power brakes. The car was originally owned by a Southern California lawyer and the second owner is a Silicon Valley executive who has owned this car since 2000 and is now selling his cars to move to overseas. Mercedes celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Pagoda model this year and 1971 was the last year they built this iconic model.I start the auction at a low price with lower reserve than market value.
This car comes with the original manuals and tools and a ceiling hoist to remove the hard top very easily with no help.
The interior is original with no cracks or tears. This car has been a featured article in an auto magazine.

Our questions arise in the aftermath - we know industrial resource machinery is heavy, but the Benz gets squashed so flat we wonder if someone's trying to play a joke on us. We hear that the white coupe may have been the heavy-equipment operator's foreman's car, but who knows? The on-camera interview seems awfully conveniently placed, yes? 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class revealed again in 1:18 scale
Fri, 10 May 2013There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but it could end up being a fairly anticlimactic reveal thanks to fully exposed spy shots, a leaked press photo and now images of a diecast version of the luxury sedan. Autoweek.nl has images showing a highly detailed 1:18 scale model of the redesigned S-Class that matches up with everything we've seen so far.
This isn't the first time a model car spoiled a new vehicle's reveal, as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and 2013 SRT Viper were both unceremoniously revealed in toy form first. World Car Fans is reporting that the car 2014 S-Class will be officially unveiled on May 15, but at this point, all that's left to wonder about is the official on-sale date and what will be under the hood.
