This 1969 Mercedes Benz 280SL is in excellent condition inside and out. The car has been stored and enjoyed at seasonal home in Florida for the last few decades. This car has never been in an accident and is a true survivor. This is a fine example of what Mercedes created, not what someone else fixed. The 904 Midnight Blue paint is bright and shiny and in excellent condition with no dings dents or scratches. The chrome is also in excellent shape. The original early style taillights and early markers are in very good shape. The Blue interior is in excellent original shape. The seats, carpets, door panels, chrome has been well taken care of over the years and it is apparent. Seats are soft and supple with plenty of support as they came from the factory. Visors are in very good condition which is a rarity on these pagodas. No rust. Car runs out strong and smooth and needs nothing whatsoever. Shifts are smooth. Drives straight and brakes straight. Everything operates as intended. Has been gone over and tuned up by a marque specialist, truly a delight to drive. Tires are Michelin MX4 185/14 in very good condition. Comes with original books, toolkit, and spare.

Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video
Mon, Dec 7 2015With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. Mercedes fits new C-Class with AMG kit
Sat, 28 Dec 2013It's only been a week and a half since Mercedes-Benz revealed the new C-Class, and it'll likely be a while yet before the replacement for the C63 AMG comes along. But if you want to see a preview of what it'll look like, look no further than the AMG aero kit that has just surfaced.
Expected to debut on the new C-Class at the fast-approaching Detroit Auto Show, the AMG Line Exterior Pack adds a new bumpers front and rear, side skirts, dual exhaust tips, mesh grille, aluminum window frames and - most importantly - 18-inch alloys packing upgraded brakes and fitted to a lowered sport suspension. All of which will help any C-Class look the part, even if the engine remains stock.
Mercedes goes boating again with G63 AMG-inspired Cigarette
Wed, 06 Feb 2013Cigarette Racing has another Mercedes-Benz AMG-themed boat headed out to sea. After The SLS AMG-inspired 46-foot Rough Rider in 2010 and the C63 AMG Black Series-inspired 50-foot Marauder in 2012, this year's Miami Boat Show will introduce the 42-foot Huntress, theme provided by the G63 AMG.
The latest Cigarette homage is less overly racy than the ones before, befitting a watercraft modeled off a performance SUV, but don't let the looks fool: there are five Mercury Racing Verado 350SCi outboard engines, each one of them packing a supercharged inline six-cylinder with, natch, 350 horsepower. Those 1,750 horses will be good for 78 miles per hour when you've got some saltwater underneath you.
If you're in South Florida this week, Booth B-23 at the Miami Convention Center could be your best place to see it. Otherwise, like the 536-hp G63 AMG, it could be hard to catch. There's a press release with more information below.
