I've owned several Mercedes (9) over the past 15 years and I know how to take care of them with proper and scheduled maintenance requirements. This vehicle has had its 100K maintenance in the past 6 months and there are NO ISSUES at all!!!! This vehicle has always been maintained with scheduled maintenance, Oil Changes, Tire Rotations etc...Its always been taken care of as the condition of this vehicle shows. This is probably one of the HARDEST TO FIND CL's on the market being that it is Black on Black with the AMG 55 look!!! The 5.0 liter engine has way more than enough power to get you up and out of the way of any traffic conditions but with Cheaper Insurance Costs than the AMG's with the bigger 5.5 liter engines. This car gets the attention everywhere it goes, The paint is like looking into a mirror and has 85% rubber left on all four Michelin Tires. IT HAS EVERYTHING & EVERYTHING WORKS PERFECTLY!! ORIGINAL RETAIL PRICE WAS OVER $100K BRAND NEW and this CL500 is the last year of this RARE BODY STYLE. This is a really a Mans car! I am only selling it because I have 3 other vehicles (Mercedes SL 500 , Range Rover HSE & Harley Davidson) and don"t have room for it anymore as this vehicle is normally parked in my underground parking at my office but I've been told that I can no longer garage it here anymore :( and wife says one of them has to go so I choose keeping my Harley at this time since summer is right around the corner!! 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rumbles on stage 4Matic style
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Bruce Hornsby and his soothing piano skills helped introduce us to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but the monstrous E63 AMG sedan needed no entrance music as it rumbled on stage. The 550-horsepower (and up) sedan sat proudly alongside the rest of the redesigned E-Class on stage at the Detroit Auto Show, but stood miles apart in intention and execution.
In addition to a choice of sedan and wagon body styles, the E63 AMG will also offer buyers the choice of the standard 550 hp or an upgraded 577-hp S-Model; regardless of output, all 2014 E63 AMG models will come standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

Wed, 20 Feb 2013Maybe you saw our recent blog snippet on a bunch of US journos getting pulled over in the middle of nowhere in Catalunya, Spain for driving a bunch of new 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG models. By all accounts, they weren't speeding - which makes me softly guffaw. I was there in that group, yet I had taken the more direct route into the mountains from Barcelona so that I could... well, so that I could go faster. No one hassled me and I had the Autovia all to myself. And it was the goodniks - the team players - who got nabbed because Spain had decided to suddenly enforce the never enforced "must carry an international driver's license" clause of the highway code.
The departing E63 AMG with 518 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque from its M157 5.5-liter biturbo V8 hasn't exactly been poorly received. It isn't as crisp as, nor as pleasantly evil as its C63 AMG kid brother, but we generally accept that the heavier and larger car will always feel, well, heavier and larger.
As part of the 2014 E-Class mid-cycle redesign, Affalterbach decided to give its E63 AMG more power and torque for the occasion. The base car now gives off 550 hp and 531 lb-ft, while the hotter S version I tested (formerly the AMG Performance Pack) produces 577 hp and 590 lb-ft. The other big novelty is that E63 sedans will be available with both rear- and all-wheel drive, while all US-spec E63 wagons will be 4Matic equipped.
Germany says nein to EU ban on new fossil-fuel cars from 2035
Tue, Jun 21 2022BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's government will not agree to European Union plans to effectively ban the sale of new cars with combustion engines from 2035, Finance Minister Christian Lindner said on Tuesday. In its bid to cut planet-warming emissions by 55% by 2030 from 1990 levels, the European Commission has proposed a 100% reduction in CO2 emissions from new cars by 2035. That means it would be impossible to sell combustion engine cars from then. European Parliament lawmakers backed the proposals this month, before negotiations with EU countries on the final law take place. Speaking at an event hosted by Germany's BDI industry association, Lindner said there would continue to be niches for combustion engines so a ban was wrong and said the government would not agree to this European legislation. Lindner, a member of the pro-business Free Democrats, which shares power with the Social Democrats and Greens, said Germany would still be a leading market for electric vehicles.
