The body on this CL500 is in excellent condition overall. The car is finished in Brilliant Silver, which is an absolutely gorgeous color. The paint on the car has been garage kept and is overall very nice and has shows how well this car was stored and maintained. The body is all arrow straight without a single ding and this car is Carfax and Autocheck certified to have never been in an accident. All four AMG wheels are brand new with good Michelin tires. A tasteful rear spoiler has been added to complete the sporty look of this MB Coupe. Overall condition of the exterior is a 9.5 out of 10! The interior is in great shape all around. The Charcoal Black Nappa leather interior and walnut trim is all very nice and doesn't show any ware at all. All seats, door panels, carpets, and floor mats are in very good condition and look like new. The interior is extremely comfortable and well optioned. The car really feels luxurious with the use of leather and wood trim wherever possible. The dash is also factory wrapped and hand stitched with Nappa leather. All accessories work inside the car including the heated and cooled seats, power rear shade, Navi, CD Changer, sound system, etc. The car has never been smoked in and has a fresh smell of fine woods and leathers. Overall condition of the interior is a 10 out of 10. Mechanically, this CL runs like a top. I can?t describe how nice this car drives. It is extremely smooth and luxurious, but with the stomp of your foot you unleash all the power of the Mercedes V8. All correct accessories are in place and the motor has been completely cleaned and detailed to original condition. This car was covered under a Star Mark Mercedes extended warranty, so you know it was always well cared for! This car has a fully documented extensive dealer service history since day one which will be included with the car. I have all dealer print-offs of warranty work as well as customer pay information. The car was always dealer serviced and maintained. Next Mercedes-Benz C-Class to get diesel, hybrid versions
Tue, 16 Apr 2013Mercedes-Benz is planning a more aggressive product strategy for its next-generation C-Class range. "We were fighting the 3 Series with two arms tied behind our back, and now we will change that," Steve Cannon, the automaker's US CEO, told Automotive News in a recent interview.
In addition to offering more body styles of the new C-Class, AN reports that the revamped Mercedes will also be offered here with hybrid and diesel powertrains. Currently, the C-Class comes in coupe and sedan variants, with only gasoline engines. The BMW 3 Series, however, is available as a sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon, and offers buyers the choice of gasoline, diesel (the upcoming 328d) or hybrid power.
Mercedes-Benz will show the next-generation C-Class at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, with sales of the US-built sedan following in August. Coupe, convertible and hybrid models will follow in early 2015, and while diesel and all-wheel-drive versions are planned, no specific timetable has been released regarding availability.
Next Mercedes S-Class stretching into this 600 Pullman limo
Fri, 15 Mar 2013To the concern of nobody in particular, Mercedes-Benz will not be re-upping its Maybach line of ultra-luxury limousines. No, instead the German automaker will be stretching its already roomy S-Class, to make this upcoming 600 Pullman version of the decked-out beast.
The car in our new gallery of spy shots is sporting beefy B-pillars and a massive set of rear doors that should allow perfectly graceful ingress and egress from what is likely to be a palatial rear space. (In one photo we can even see a long-wheelbase S-Class in line with the new Pullman, handily exhibiting the size of the new variant.) The exterior modifications are otherwise obscured, though we can guess at revised front and rear fascia and lighting elements, based on both end being heavily taped for these test runs.
It's a good bet that the Pullman will make use of M-B's twin-turbocharged V12 engine, though sources indicate that a hybrid version might eventually be in the offing, as well.

The Mercedes AMC Petronas team points to several key efficiency technologies it uses to get the most out of its cars. And if their utter dominance so far this season is testament to this relationship, perhaps we should pay attention. Mercedes highlights hybrid tech, turbocharging, aerodynamics, lightweight construction, tribology (both in making internal components and lubricants more slippery) and simulation as crucial to getting around the track faster than anyone else. These just happen to be some of the same things that make the cars we drive on public roads more fuel-efficient. Learn more in the press release below. It's a good read. Brammo, maker of sweet electric motorcycles, is teaming up with TEAM Industries to make drivetrains for electric vehicles. TEAM, which specializes in drivetrain technology, will also become an investor in Brammo as part of the partnership. "The electric vehicle market is a growth market," says TEAM CEO and President David Ricke, "and TEAM and Brammo will be providing a wide range of solutions for OEM manufacturers." Read more over at EV World. Vermont celebrated the installation of a new EV charging station as part of a Green Energy Corridor between Boston and Montreal. When finished, drivers will be able to make the whole trip in an EV with access to charging along the way. For $5, customers can charge their vehicle in about 30 minutes at the Red Hen Baking Company in Middlesex. There are currently only about 700 EVs on the road in Vermont. The state has a goal to get 90 percent of its energy from renewable sources by 2050, and getting more EVs on the road is crucial to that mission. Vermont hopes that expanding the charging infrastructure will convince more people to go electric. Read more at Vermont Public Radio's website. For it's new e-Golf, Volkswagen will use Bosch chargers for home installation and ChargePoint stations at its dealerships. Bosch will have various 240-volt options for the home, and will also provide installation. e-Golf customers will also get a free ChargePoint membership, and will have access to the company's network of charging stations worldwide.
