For sale is my 2001 CL600 V12 Mercedes pillar less coupe. Honestly this car has been a pleasure to own but with our new home I do not have garage space for it. I am the second owner and the first owner was a retired basketball player for the Dallas Mavericks. In the past 12 months I have spent over $15,000 on servicing this car. I wasn't planning on getting rid of it so everything has been taken care of. Both Coil packs, ABS pump, All 4 door seals, All the ball joints, Both Strut arms, Both Thrust arms, Front struts, soft close actuators on both doors and the trunk, rear factory 8" subwoofer, replaced the rear power shade, headlight washer pump, all 4 wheel height sensors and links and new brakes on all 4 corners. All of this work was done by my local Mercedes dealer and I have all of the corresponding receipts. The ECU was sent to Renntech for the 80hp tune and I have installed a new set of 19" Renntech Forged wheels wrapped in brand new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires with approximately 1000 miles on them. The car is also sporting a Renntech Burl wood shifter. Now I do have the Renntech emblems that come with the tune that I did not install but I will include them with the car. I also have a set of CL65 Black edition lights that I might or might not have installed on Monday, just depends on how the bidding is going. All in all the car is in gorgeous condition and it runs great. I purchased the car a few years ago in Texas with 30,000 miles right after I moved to Louisiana and I was using it to drive from Lafayette to Houston on a weekly basis so the majority of the miles I have put are highway miles that being said driving it on the highway that much the front bumper and hood have some small chips and it being a Texas car new some dumbass screwed the plate to the bumper so their are the 4 small plate screw holes in the bumper. I tried to capture this in the photos but I will be happy to email you more if you are interested. This car was garaged and covered the entire time I owned it so the paint is very nice for a 13 year old car. This car is equipped with the AMG appearance package with includes the suede interior trim the Alcantera leather and the heated and cooled seats. The one and only thing I would say this car needs would be to have the bumper and hood re-sprayed and it would be perfect. Take a look at the pictures and judge for yourself. I will assist with shipping if needed and I can recommend a shipper that I have used before that is reliable if that is also needed. This vehicle is listed locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if the vehicle sells locally.

Mercedes-Benz S-Class presentation leaked, debuting in May

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

WorldCarFans was reportedly sent what looks like a dealer presentation on the coming V222 series 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class. There have been hints for years as to the kinds of technology the world's best-selling large luxury sedan will contain, and it appears those hints had some foundation. To be shown in Germany on May 15 before a launch window that runs from September to November this year, the evolutionary design will be built of aluminum and steel, using that lighter material for the front end, roof and "detached body parts."
Among the new options buyers will be able to choose are the Rear Seat Package with rear seatbelt airbags and active buckles that extend, a Warmth and Comfort Package with heated seats front and back, heated armrests and side panels, and power rear seats with active ventilation and memory function. There's a chauffeur seating option that comes with 10-way adjustable rear seats, an extendable footrest and folding tables in the front seatbacks.
Blatant technology will be on display via two 12.3-inch screens, one for the dash cluster and one for the COMAND infotainment screen on the instrument panel. The third generation of Nightview Assist Plus will be able to detect animals as well as humans, and the next generation of Surround View will provide high-res views all around the car. A touchpad and a color head-up display will arrive in 2015. It will be the first Mercedes-Benz to utilize LED lighting everywhere, inside and outside the car.

Mercedes has already booked 30k orders for new S-Class

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

When Toyota snags 30,000 Corolla orders over a three-month span, it's entirely possible we're in the midst of a global economic collapse and that the end is nigh. That's because the scale for Toyota is so very large. Mercedes-Benz, on the other hand, operates on a much smaller scale, particularly when we talk about its higher-end models, like the S-Class.
In 2012, Mercedes sold 65,000 of its flagship sedans in Germany and the EU. That's 178 units per day, for 365 days. Based on that, you can imagine the excitement at Stuttgart when it accepted 30,000 orders for the new S-Class in just three months. That's an average of 333 per day on a continent with a notoriously shaky economy. Now, admittedly, this enthusiasm could wane as the refitted S-Class becomes more common and Mercedes achieves market saturation in Europe's many chauffeur and livery services, but Mercedes isn't choosing to look at it that way.
"The new S-Class has already jumped back into the lead in terms of new vehicle registrations in Germany and its neighboring European countries," Mercedes-Benz head of sales and marketing, Ola Kaellenius, said in a statement last week.
