2009 Mercedes C63 AMG RENNtech C74 Limited Edition Widebody Absolutely beautiful! This is a fantastic opportunity to own a truly remarkable machine. Certainly this is a 4-door sedan, following the line along other C-Class models, and carrying a "C" in it's name and wearing C-Class badges, but this car stands alone in every catagory. As soon as you turn the key and hear the instant snarl from the exhaust, you realize the heart of this sedan is the massive 6.3 liter V8 under the hood, making a pavement pounding 471 horsepower. Mercedes-Benz introduces new heavy security M-Class Guard model

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new addition to the company's line of personal security vehicles. The M-Class Guard features bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. Mercedes says the M-Class Guard meets protection level VR4 according to the Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards, based on testing from the independent Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau, which means it can withstand .357 Magnum and .44 fire from multiple angles. It can also stand up to the DM51 hand grenade when equipped with optional floor armoring. Why skimp?
Buyers looking for protection from the world's literal slings and arrows can opt for the ML350 BlueTEC with its 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. With 457 pound-feet of torque, the oil-burner should have no trouble hustling the privileged class about. Of course, the ML500 offers a bit more punch courtesy of a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 with 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes GLE63 AMG Coupe teased

The very concept of the luxury crossover coupe often gets flamed for being not only ugly, but also impractical. However, after years of letting BMW blaze the trail with the X6, Mercedes-Benz recently entered the field with the GLE-Class Coupe. Now, it's time to add a little more pepper to the package with the newly teased GLE63 AMG Coupe. The video above gives a solid look at the three-quarters perspective of this high-performance high-rider. Compared to the standard version buyers get a different front bumper with larger air intakes and an arching wing that almost appears to be floating in space. Flashes in the clip show off AMG branding for the brake calipers, steering wheel and seats, as is expected. This is clearly not a vehicle that'll appeal to everyone, but it offers an alternative to the latest BMW X6 M with 567 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. Mercedes isn't saying what lies under the hood of the GLE63 AMG Coupe yet. Although given the name, we suspect a version of the brand's 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 is the likely choice. It's offered in the latest C63 AMG with either 469 or 503 hp. The debut for this CUV coupe is possible at the upcoming Detroit Auto Show, where the standard GLE Coupe will be unveiled.

Detroit Auto Show prankster 'damages' hundreds of thousands of dollars of cars

Obtaining credentials for an auto show is generally a pretty selective process, especially at one of the world's premier shows, like Geneva, Los Angeles or Detroit. That didn't stop online prankster Dennis Roady from getting credentialed for the 2015 North American International Auto Show on behalf of a Russian YouTube channel to cover the show. While he wasn't brought on strictly to cause mischief, Roady couldn't help but have some fun at the expense of the product specialists during the serious business of covering the show. He took to an app called "Dude, Your Car," which allows Apple iPhone users to take snaps of vehicles and then edit them to add some serious, but fake, dents and scratches. Naturally, the pranking session was caught on video, where you can enjoy the sight of poor product specialists freaking out over damage to vehicles ranging from the Mercedes-Maybach S600 to the Audi R8 and a lovely Dodge Challenger.
