Mercedes Benz Slk350 Slk 350 Convertible Hardtop Sl 230 280 500 Roadster on 2040-cars
Miami, Florida, United States
2006 Mercedes SLK 350 – Hardtop “Convertible” No accidents, clean Carfax. Enjoy the security of a hard top car with the fun of a convertible, all in less than 30 seconds with the press of a button. Very clever German engineering makes this possible and somehow they also fit in a 17 gallon fuel tank, space saver spare and tool kit, and left over trunk space even with the top retracted! This car has the optional air scarf system which in my opinion is the greatest option ever offered. Designed to extend the top-down driving season, it also is very welcome on cool mornings. Within five seconds, warm air blows on the back of your neck. There is nothing like it! The condition of this car belies the mileage. It has always been well taken care of and from what I can tell, by the previous owners as well. It has always been garaged while in possession. It is a great car and has been a commuter car for two years thus the mileage which is virtually all highway. The mileage breaks out to around 14,000 per year - that's nothing for a high quality car like a Mercedes. It is great looking from any angle and a lot of fun to drive. The design was inspired by Formula 1 Race Cars. I am selling this for a relative. I am offering it with Buy It Now at the low end of comparable NADA trade in value adjusting for mileage and options. It is too nice to just trade in so I am offering it here first. I can't include the link due to ebay rules, but you can check NADA Guides online and load in the information. This Mercedes is in excellent overall condition. Starts and runs with no issues; just passed NJ State inspection. Interior is like new. Seats are perfect with barely even a scuff on the leather. Exterior paint shines well although there is a fair number of paint chips on the front especially on the lower bumper cover from highway driving. The headlight lenses are crystal clear. Rims are nearly perfect. Tires are matched Continental DWS (dry wet snow) all season with at least 50% left. Because of the spare, this car uses non-run flat tires which provide a better ride and are half the price of run flats. The car has been well maintained. Minor maintenance was recently performed including fresh synthetic oil and filter, new Bosch premium battery, and new serpentine belt and idler pulley. The car has been well maintained over the years with plenty of engine oil changes, transmission fluid and filter change, new spark plugs, air filters, cabin filters, etc. The car is ready to go. This sale includes the original manuals, first aid kit, wind buffeting screen that mounts behind the seats, and both keys. Also includes the original space saving spare and complete tool kit including the Mercedes air pump for inflating the spare tire. This Mercedes SLK is FULLY loaded with virtually every option including: 1) Premium package – Homelink garage door opener, rain sensor wipers, automatic climate control, remote control with panic switch, special interior lighting. 2) Lighting package – Bi-Xenon headlamps, headlamp cleaning sprayers, cornering illumination 3) Heating package – Left and Right seat heaters, air scarf system 4) Entertainment System with Navigation – Optional Satellite module, Premium Harmon Kardon sound, Ipod Aux connector, steering wheel controls 5) Bluetooth integrated system 6) Speed-sensitive power steering 7) 7-Speed automatic transmission with manual shifting option Standard Equipment includes: 1) 3.5 liter V-6 engine 2) Leather steering wheel and gearshift knob 3) Black Leather seats 4) Airbags including sides and, front 5) Anti-Theft/Anti-Break-in warning system 6) Power locks 7) Air conditioning Winner is in charge of all shipping arrangements, I will assist in anyway possible. I will do my best to answer your questions promptly. Happy bidding, Merry Christmas, and, God bless you |

Mercedes Sprinter updated to take on Ford Transit, Ram ProMaster
Mon, 29 Apr 2013By the end of this year, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter will be the second-oldest nameplate in its segment here in the States, but with hot new competition waiting in the wings, Mercedes-Benz is giving its hauler a freshened look and more equipment to stave off rivals. The Sprinter was a pioneer in bringing Euro-style delivery vans to North America, and it's inspired others to transplant their Continental offerings, with the all-new Ford Transit and Ram Promaster models launching shortly. It will also continue to do battle with lower-cost traditional competitors like the Chevrolet Express and Ford E-Series.
The big Sprinter will thus get a new look to go with more safety features and available technology. While the information released here technically covers the Euro-spec 2013 Sprinter (which goes on sale in September), the US market is expected to get the new Sprinter for the 2014 model year with many of the same features. Some of this new technology includes a Crosswind Assist feature as standard equipment and the availability of Collision Prevention Assist and Blind Spot Assist as optional safety measures - Mercedes-Benz says that all three are firsts for any van in the world. Also added to the updated Sprinter is a new 1.8-liter supercharged gasoline (or CNG) engine producing 156 horsepower, which will complement the line of diesel engines that carry over and help make the Sprinter the first cargo van to meet the upcoming Euro VI emissions standards. Additionally, a lower ride height is said to improve fuel economy and should improve handling while aiding ingress and egress for both people and cargo.
In terms of styling, the Sprinter's new face also looks more like the current line of Mercedes-Benz passenger cars. This includes a more upright grille along with changes to the hood, headlights and bumper that lend it a closer kinship to models like the CLS-Class and the updated E-Class. The Sprinter will offer both halogen and HID headlights, while the latter will get LED running lamps and offer Highbeam Assist. The images shown here only reveal the exterior from front angles, but it looks like few, if any, changes have been made to the rear of the van. Interior upgrades include a thicker steering wheel, a new shift lever and the latest in audio, navigation and entertainment systems. Scroll down for the official press release for the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.
Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
Be sure to check out the video below, along with our original posting on the S63 AMG.
Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles
Mon, May 13 2024It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
