WELCOME TO ANOTHER AUCTION FROM GRINDING LLC!

Up for sale is a MINT 2002 SLK 320 FINISHED IN BRILLIANT SILVER AND EBONY INTERIOR! This SLK only had 13K miles on it and was purchased as a CPO from a Local Mercedes Dealer. (Mercedes Benz of Little Silver, NJ)

So some details.

It's a 2002 SLK 320 in Brilliant Silver Metallic and Ebony interior trim. It currently has 13,430 miles on the clock and is in gorgeous condition. It has received annual oil changes with M1 and filters are from the dealership. I just completed a Brake fluid flush with ATE Super Blue and coolant change with MB Coolant.

Since I've bought the SLK, I've utilized the warranty once and that was for a dead Driver Seat Motor. The SLK was purchased with a maintenance plan and was in effect til Aug 2012. Under the warranty and maintenance plan, fluids were change, battery replaced, and both valve cover gaskets were replaced.

Other than that, this SLK is in new condition mechanically.

As far as the exterior, it too is in excellent condition.Twice a year I would detail the SLK and this was the process.

Washed
Paint prepped with Aquartz Iron cut or Wolf's Deironizing Gel and Z1 Anti-Insekt
Rinsed
In the beginning I used Clay then discovered NanoSkin Autoscrub
On the first 2 details, I used a microfiber pad with Mezerna FG400 for paint correction after paint measuring.
Polished with Med Pad and Mezerna SF4000
Waxed with Z1 Wax to make the metallic pop with 4 coats.
Sealed with Klasse Glaze
Then afterwards, the paint didn't need any correction and I would just Wash, Decon the paint of fallout, Clay, Mezerna SF4000 (To take out light swirls) and then Z1 Glanz Wax
Wheels were always removed and cleaned the inside. They were prepped with Sonax Full Effects Cleaner. Stubborn stains removed with Tarminator and 3M Adhesive remover.
Door Jambs cleaned
Engine bay washed with APC and dressed with Adams In and out spray
Interior leather cleaned with Z1 Strong Plastic Cleaner and boar's head brush, wiped down and treated with Zymol conditioner. (Only pain was picking out the residue in the holes of the leather)
Dash cleaned with In and out spray.
All glass also clayed and cleaned with Perfect Glass
Exhaust tip polished.

So as you can see, the car was loved and it helps that I like to detail.

As for blemishes, I would like to mention the car as Perfect, but unfortunately it is not. There is a small dent on the hood, by the Starmark crest. The underside of the front bumper/spoiler does have scratches. You will not see them, but just thought I would mention it. On the right front fender, there is a paint chip. Its hard to notice but once pointed out, you can see it. And the front right wheel has blemished on the lip. It looks like curb rash, but its not linear, but just small scrapes on half the rim.

Other than those 4 things, the car is in excellent shape. As far as I know after doing a search, this is the lowest mile SLK 320 for sale in the country. The only one that is close is in Philly and has 15,600 and is Black on Black and was listed for $22,900.

13-year-old boy swipes dad's Mercedes, drives across Europe

Wed, 16 Jan 2013

After an argument with his adoptive parents that resulted in them taking away his mobile phone, an angry 13-year-old boy ran away from his home in Italy and headed straight to Poland to meet his biological sister. But instead of taking the train or hitching a ride, like most on the run, the young man (an accomplished go-kart racer and car enthusiast) grabbed the keys to his father's Mercedes-Benz and jumped behind the wheel for an impromptu road trip.
With less than 200 euros (about $270) in his wallet and a passport in his pocket, the youngster managed to put more than 500 miles between himself and his distraught parents, crossing two international borders in the process, before German police nabbed him just shy of the Polish border. According to reports, the vehicle was tracked - it wasn't his driving that alerted authorities to his location.
Reunited with his mother and father, who traveled to Germany to retrieve both their son and the vehicle, the young man apologized and acknowledged his error. As a result of his actions, social workers will increase checks on the family and we can be sure his parents are now hiding the keys.

2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA priced from $31,300*

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

Mercedes-Benz has kindly let loose the price of the 2015 GLA-Class, telling Autoblog.com that the base 208-horsepower GLA250 in two-wheel drive will go for $31,300 *not including a destination charge of $925. That makes for $32,225 in total to get one off the lot, a price predicted as early as last year and in our recent First Drive. The other two available models can push power to all four wheels, and after the destination fee is applied the GLA240 4Matic (pictured) will be $34,225 while the 355-horsepower GLA45 AMG will change lives and wallets to the tune of $49,225.
On the base scale, that puts the GLA250 just a few hundred dollar bills above the more powerful, rear-wheel drive BMW X1 and a stack of hundreds below the less powerful, front-wheel drive Audi Q3. If you're keeping in-house score, the GLA250 comes in at $1,400 above its sedan platform-mate with the same engine, the CLA250. At the high end, however, the competition doesn't have anything that can touch the AMG trim. Not that it should matter all that much - Mercedes needed something to keep these buyers in the family, and now they have it. If any of them should need even more power and more money spent, then there's always that 394-hp Brabus flavor. We'll have more info and details on each trim when Mercedes unleashes the shebang in the not-too-distant future.
