Black Rust Free 380sl With A New Soft Top. This Car Runs And Drives Great on 2040-cars
Nashville, Tennessee, United States
This 1985 MERCEDES BENZ 380sl is a beautiful car that is exciting to drive. It accelerates and handles as it was designed to do. The exterior is in good shape, the body is very
straight with no rust at all. The motor performs well and the transmission shifts as it should. The paint is in good condition, has been well taken care of and holds a fantastic shine; there are a few blemishes on the trunk. The car has a brand new black soft top less than a month old and the hard top is in good condition too. The chrome is in good shape and holds a brilliant shine. The bumpers look good, the rear bumper has a few dents and scratches but all the rubber around the bumpers is in great shape with very little sign of weathering. The wheels are in great shape and have a nice set of Michelin
tires with a lot of tread life left. The interior is in very good condition, leather seats are
in great shape showing little wear however there is a small hole on the drivers side bolster about the size of a dime. All the lights, wipers and dash gauges work as they should with the exception of the odometer. The odometer stopped working at the end of last year but I assume it has had less than 500 miles put on it since. An aftermarket radio and speakers have been installed but the original
radio also comes with the car. The dash clock and cruise control work perfectly as do the power windows. The vinyl on the rear top deck has a few tears and the vinyl on the side of the bottom deck has a hole in it. The car has working AC but the coolant level is low so it just blows cool not cold as of now. The car comes with a good clean CarFax
that show no accidents or damage. This is a great Mercedes
Benz convertible that produces not only a luxurious ride but will
deliver it in timeless style. Not responsible for shipping, full payment is required

These are the cars with the best and worst depreciation after 5 years
Thu, Nov 19 2020The average new vehicle sold in America loses nearly half of its initial value after five years of ownership. No surprise there; we all expect that shiny new car to start depreciating as soon as we drive it off the lot. But some vehicles lose value a lot faster than others. According to data provided by iSeeCars.com, trucks and truck-based sport utility vehicles generally hold their value better than other vehicle types, with the Jeep Wrangler — in both four-door Unlimited and standard two-door styles — and Toyota Tacoma sitting at the head of the pack. The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited's average five-year depreciation of 30.9% equals a loss in value of $12,168. That makes Jeep's four-door off-roader the best overall pick for buyers looking to minimize depreciation. The Toyota Tacoma's 32.4% loss in initial value means it loses just $10,496. The smaller dollar amount — the least amount of money lost after five years — indicates that Tacoma buyers pay less than Wrangler Unlimited buyers, on average, when they initially buy the vehicle. The standard two-door Jeep Wrangler is third on the list, depreciating 32.8% after five years and losing $10,824. Click here for a full list of the top 10 vehicles with the least depreciation over five years. On the other side of the depreciation coin, luxury sedans tend to plummet in value at a much faster rate than other vehicle types. The BMW 7 Series leads the losers with a 72.6% drop in value after five years, which equals an alarming $73,686. BMW's slightly smaller 5 Series is next, depreciating 70.1%, or $47,038, over the same period. Number three on the biggest losers list is the Nissan Leaf, the only electric vehicle to appear in the bottom 10. The electric hatchback matches the 5 Series with a 70.1% drop in value, but since it's a much cheaper vehicle, that percentage equals a much smaller $23,470 loss. Audi and Mercedes both outsell BMW in January
Tue, Feb 10 2015There won't be any celebrations in Munich this month, as BMW was outsold by arch-nemeses Audi and Mercedes-Benz. The Bavarian company finished behind Audi in January, which took the top spot for the first time since June of last year, Bloomberg reports. Ingolstadt rode high on a 10-percent bump in sales, while Mercedes saw a larger 14 percent increase. BMW, meanwhile, only saw a modest 6.3-percent sales increase last month, thanks in large part to its struggles in China. The company's sales there increased at about half the rate of its chief competitors, with a 7.9-percent jump to Mercedes and Audi's roughly 15-percent increases. Perhaps more worrying for BMW, though, is that this could become something of a trend for the company. According to Bloomberg, issues with Chinese dealers who cancelled orders over sales targets and bonuses combined with what the publication calls aging models, could spell bad news for the German marque. "This looks like a pretty significant decline in growth compared to Mercedes and Audi," Bankhaus Metzler analyst Juergen Pieper told Bloomberg. "I think this will continue during the next few months." News Source: BloombergImage Credit: Matthias Schrader / AP Earnings/Financials Audi BMW Mercedes-Benz

Wed, 06 Mar 2013Mercedes Makes A Mighty Little Sedan
We got overexcited when the W203 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan came out in 2001, calling it the "Baby Benz" when it really wasn't. We knew that, too, but our enthusiasm for a model more like the old 190 of the '80s was so strong that we were willing to stretch the first-gen C-Class to fit that mold. Today, the C-Class has done what all German premium cars do: grown in size. In this case, grown to satisfy the market intentions of the previous E-Class.
There was the tall A-Class sold from 1998 through 2010, but we never considered that a serious small Benz in the proper spirit, nor was it ever offered in the US. Regardless, we've been craving a smaller, premium, sexy sedan all the while.
