You will be hard pressed to find a Black/Charcoal SL600 in better condition than mine. It has never seen snow, has never been in an accident and has rarely seen rain. Simply put, the fit and finish is impeccable. All service records support that this 600 is ready for many years of enjoyable top down entertainment. The interior is exquisite. The rims are mint with no scraps, scratches of any kind. There are no door dings, scratches across the entire body of the car, and everything functions as new. The heated steering wheel is a welcome treat on cooler nights with the top down. Having just reached 40,000 miles, the 500 horse power engine is nearly broken in. All service is up to date and she is ready for summer enjoyment. As you would expect, the air conditioning blows ice cold, the car has always been stored in a climate controlled garage and she does have the factory GPS system as well. 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA order guide leaked
Wed, 06 Feb 2013The dealer order guide for the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA has made its way online courtesy of the crew at CLAForums.com, and not only does it shed light on the ways buyers will be able to configure the entry-level sedan, it talks specific option pricing. Shoppers will be able to select between the CLA250 and CLA250 4Matic, and the option sheet should offer a number of packages to suit buyer tastes, including a sport package with tweaked fascias and unique wheels. Bi-xenon headlamps and 18-inch alloys may also be had as well as a panoramic sunroof and a collision avoidance system. The CLA will be available with a number of active safety systems on board, including lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, park assist and blind spot assist, to name a few.
The new sedan comes in 10 colors, including a very dashing purple Mecedes-Benz calls Northern Lights Violet, and there are a total of four interior trim finishes. The automaker hasn't released final pricing of all models just as of yet - we do know from Mercedes' Kate Upton Super Bowl ad that the car will start at $29,900 - but you can check out individual option and package pricing in the gallery. Daimler buying 12% stake in Beijing Auto
Tue, 19 Nov 2013Daimler and Beijing Automotive are officially going steady, with the German company set to take a 12-percent stake in the Chinese brand tomorrow. The two are already tied up in a Mercedes engine plant in Beijing, of which BAIC will increase its stake in, from 50 to 51 percent. Daimler will also get two seats on the Chinese company's board. BAIC may also gain the ability to produce cars on Mercedes-Benz platforms, according to Automotive News Europe.
The investment in BAIC comes ahead of that company's initial public offering, according to a report form Bloomberg, which indicates the deal will be inked tomorrow in the Chinese capital. According to the report, if the circumstances are right, BAIC may turn around and invest in the Germany company "soon."
It's not entirely clear just how much the 12-percent cut is costing Daimler, although it seems reasonable to assume that, as it's ahead of the IPO, the parent company of Mercedes is getting a bit of a bargain.
