Your looking at one of the nicest 2003 Mercedes Benz SL 500 around. A beautifully sleek two door Roadster, its
engineering consists of some of the most innovative technology available today.
Offered in SL500, it boasts a 302 horsepower 5.0-liter V8 V8 and a convenient
power-retractable top that turns it into a two door Convertible in less than 20
seconds. The SL500 comes nicely equipped with auto climate control, cruise,
keyless entry, full power accessories, heated lumbar seats, upgraded audio,
airbags and ABS brakes. The interior is in perfect condition. There are no tears or rips in the leather. The floor mats are in fair condition. I had the wheels, tires and brakes replaced in the past year. It had the schedule B service and inspection performed by Plaza Motors. It also has a new windscreen. The auxillary battery located in the truck was replace this week. I purchased the car in 2010 and it has remained garaged since then. I purchased the car from a Texas Dealer in March of 2010. The ONLY reason I am selling this car is because my new girlfriend has two small children so I had to downgrade to a Jag XK8. The car is just about perfect BUT it is a 2003 so here is what I know could be considered any negatives:
1) Floor Mats are fair 2) Windsheild Solvant Bottle leaks 3) Small trim piece missing that covers small hole when top is down 4) Center Brake light has small crack Good Luck Bidding..... Detroit Auto Show prankster 'damages' hundreds of thousands of dollars of cars
Thu, Jan 29 2015Obtaining credentials for an auto show is generally a pretty selective process, especially at one of the world's premier shows, like Geneva, Los Angeles or Detroit. That didn't stop online prankster Dennis Roady from getting credentialed for the 2015 North American International Auto Show on behalf of a Russian YouTube channel to cover the show. While he wasn't brought on strictly to cause mischief, Roady couldn't help but have some fun at the expense of the product specialists during the serious business of covering the show. He took to an app called "Dude, Your Car," which allows Apple iPhone users to take snaps of vehicles and then edit them to add some serious, but fake, dents and scratches. Naturally, the pranking session was caught on video, where you can enjoy the sight of poor product specialists freaking out over damage to vehicles ranging from the Mercedes-Maybach S600 to the Audi R8 and a lovely Dodge Challenger. Carlsson turns Mercedes-Benz SLK into 610-HP hill-climb clawer
Mon, 28 Jan 2013Carlsson's race-tuned versions of the Mercedes-Benz SLK have been taking checkered flags for years, and we won't be surprised if its SLK 340 hill climber fares any different. Developed by multiple German and Swiss hill climb champion Reto Meisel, the carbon-bodied SLK 340 with lightweight brakes and a closed underbody weighs 1,716 pounds. Propelling that tiny bit of weight is a 3.4-liter V8 from Judd with 610 horsepower, and it rolls on 18-inch wheels shod in Avon tires.
It will debut at the Geneva Motor Show before beginning its racing campaigns in the summer. This one won't just tear up roads in Europe, though - Meisel says he plans on bringing it to the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. The press release below has more details.
2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA priced from $31,300*
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Mercedes-Benz has kindly let loose the price of the 2015 GLA-Class, telling Autoblog.com that the base 208-horsepower GLA250 in two-wheel drive will go for $31,300 *not including a destination charge of $925. That makes for $32,225 in total to get one off the lot, a price predicted as early as last year and in our recent First Drive. The other two available models can push power to all four wheels, and after the destination fee is applied the GLA240 4Matic (pictured) will be $34,225 while the 355-horsepower GLA45 AMG will change lives and wallets to the tune of $49,225.
On the base scale, that puts the GLA250 just a few hundred dollar bills above the more powerful, rear-wheel drive BMW X1 and a stack of hundreds below the less powerful, front-wheel drive Audi Q3. If you're keeping in-house score, the GLA250 comes in at $1,400 above its sedan platform-mate with the same engine, the CLA250. At the high end, however, the competition doesn't have anything that can touch the AMG trim. Not that it should matter all that much - Mercedes needed something to keep these buyers in the family, and now they have it. If any of them should need even more power and more money spent, then there's always that 394-hp Brabus flavor.
