  • Very solid vehicle, runs and drives excellent!  No clicking, clanking, or weird noises.  Has been maintained extremely well and have all maintenance records to prove it.  Everything works as it's supposed to.

  • Paint is almost flawless with no scratches or dings.  Been garaged most of its life, and the body still looks beautiful as you can see in the pictures.

  • Upgraded 18 inch chrome rims and tires.  Tires still have a lot of life left in them with at least 70% tread on them.

  • Interior is very clean, and has normal signs of wear for being 14 years old.  Only one small tear on the drivers seat (please see notes above), but other than that it has a great interior.  No stains, and non-smoker.

  • Front brakes were replaced at 115,000 miles as well as a "COMPLETELY REBUILT TRANSMISSION" at 115,633.  Over $3200 was spent on rebuilding the transmission, so this car will run great for a long time.

  • Power windows, power locks, power windows, heated seats, cruise control, air conditioning, and key-less entry.

  • Has an Am/Fm/cassette radio with 6 disc CD player.

  • Comes with soft top and hard top.  In the pictures the hard top is displayed.  The soft top it comes with has no rips or tears, although the back window shows signs of wear as it has aged over the life of the car.

  • All around great vehicle which someone will be very happy with.  Would rate vehicle as good, but almost excellent.  Please call Jerry if you have any other questions, or want to discuss asking price at 818-288-4277.  Vehicle is located in Indio, California.

The Mansory Speranza proves that money can buy taste and good sense...

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

...Just kidding.
No one in their right mind has ever accused German tuners Mansory of being subtle. So, when our Geneva team wandered across the Mansory Speranza - A Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen that has been denuded of its roof and spackled inside with quilted leather and red carbon fiber - they didn't ask a lot of existential questions. Why does the Speranza exist? Because Germans are weird sometimes, that's why.
Forget for a moment that you'll have to pay Mansory hundreds of thousands of euros (we're guessing, no pricing information has been revealed) for the privilege of converting your G-Class into something that looks like a Suzuki Samurai, and prepare to be impressed by the details. The tuning house has increased the output of the Mercedes V8 to a healthy 700 horsepower and 668 pound-feet of torque. The wheels are 24-inches, and wear almost unbelievable 305-section ultra-high performance Vresdestein tires. Carbon fiber can be found nearly everywhere one looks, including making up the housing for the spare tire. Oh, and there are leather pillows for the backseats... no word on whether they're standard or optional, but we're looking in to it.

First official shot of Mercedes S-Class Coupe leaks out

Mon, 10 Feb 2014

With the official debut for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe expected tomorrow, it shouldn't be a surprise that some clicky fingers have already managed to uncover an official image of the car before the unveiling. Outside of this sole image, though, there's precious little detail on the new car.
First posted by Autofilou and then picked up by WorldCarFans, the production S-Class Coupe isn't far off from the concept car we saw a few months back in Frankfurt. Like the concept, the leggy production model appears related, albeit distantly, to the S-Class Sedan. The hood and front fascia are longer and lower, befitting of a two-door, while the character lines in the profile are more pronounced. Obviously, the beltline and slim, B-pillarless greenhouse are coupe-only items. We can't see any details on the back of the car, although it does appear that the long hood has a correspondingly short rear deck.
We'll have all the details on the official replacement for the CL-Class when it makes its full debut tomorrow. Until then, what do you think of this lone image? Does it appear that Mercedes has got it right? In terms of design, where would you rank this with the departing CL-Class? Have your say in Comments.

Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles

Mon, 05 Aug 2013

The Isdera Imperator 108i is a remarkably rare supercar from the late 80s and early 90s. Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. The example shown here, lapping the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, features the most potent 6.0-liter V8 available. And rather than just being driven about on a perfectly clean racing line, it's freaking power sliding!
Yes, there's something eternally childlike about a wedge-shaped supercar from our formative years being flung about a Belgian racetrack. Adding to the appeal is the Imperator's stumpy, periscopic rear mirror, sticking out of the roof. Even after being out of production for 20 years, this is still a wild, wild car and we'd happily snap up the opportunity pilot one of the 36 Isderas that were built. Take a look below for the full video from Spa.
