1967 MERCEDES BENZ 230SL Barn Find 1 of 185 made in 1967 AUTOMATIC , AIR CONDITIONING, SOFT TOP AND HARD TOP ORIGINAL PAINT COLOR LIGHT BLUE DB334 (NOW WHITE) ON LIGHT BLUE INTERIOR CALIFORNIA CAR ..SOLD NEW IN CALIFORNIA MATCHING HOOD, ALL ORIGINAL FENDERS, RUST FREE, NO ACCIDENT REPAIR, MATCHING BODY NUMBERS AND MATCHING ENGINE. MERCEDES DATA CARD AVAILABLE, BOOKS, TOOLS, ORIGINAL FIRESTONE SPARE NEVER BEEN USED
This is a 2 owner car. It was sold brand new to the original owner in California, In 1995 it was placed in the showroom of Stahl Motor Cars Monterey (the first Mercedes Dealership in the USA) and then sold to the second owner. The car was driven less than 2000 miles since 1995. What’s really interesting about this vehicle is that it’s a ‘67 and in ‘67 there were only 185 230sls made. The interior is 100% original except for the Radio we are not sure if it’s the original one (RADIO DOES WORK). As you see in the pictures the interior is all 100% original. The car runs and drives absolutely perfect and has zero mechanical issues. The body is 100% original except for 1 repaint which was done over the original paint. Some parts are still the original blue paint as you can see in the pictures. It can easily be taken back to the original blue color. The current paint is in excellent condition and does not need to be repainted. All Doors, hood , hard top and trunk align perfectly as day 1. There were many 113 sls made most of them have been wrecked, abused, rusted out or are missing. This particular 230sl is defiantly investment grade since it has not been abused, rusted out or wrecked and is almost all original except, 1 repaint, the radio and tail lights. This is a beautiful solid California car that can be driven daily and is defiantly worthy of a light cosmetic restoration if anything. It has a clear California title. The car can be shipped all over the world. Call Yoni at 818-645-8883 for any questions email me for additional photos yonibabba at gmail

Mercedes S-Class Magic Body Control ad is clucking awesome
Tue, 24 Sep 2013This is a new ad from Mercedes-Benz. At no point does it show an automobile. Instead, it stars animals, but not the sort you might normally see in car commercial. This ad is all about chickens. It is bizarre, to say the least, with Diana Ross and the Supremes belting it out in the background, but it all kind of comes together when you realize just what Mercedes is hawking (yeah, pun intended).
It's for the manufacturer's Magic Body Control, found on the new S-Class. The system basically analyzes the road and prepares the suspension accordingly, leading to a ride that is, in the words of our own Chris Paukert "nothing short of spooky." You can read about it in our full review of the 2014 S550. Take a look below for the 53-second spot.
US buyers show little interest in big hybrids
Sat, May 10 2014The idea of producing large, luxury-vehicle hybrids is turning into a "what were they thinking?" exercise in futility, USA Today reports. General Motors is discontinuing hybrid versions of the Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Tahoe and GMC Yukon SUVs, while Mercedes-Benz and Toyota's Lexus division are doing the same with their S-Class hybrid and LS hybrid sedans, respectively. The culprit? Big price increases for fuel economy improvements that border on the unimpressive. Granted, the Escalade hybrid gets 31 percent better fuel economy than the standard version, but that still maps out to a combined fuel-efficiency rating of just 21 miles per gallon. That can be seen as a worthwhile increase, if it didn't cost over $8,000 extra. The 2014 Escalade Hybrid, for example, starts at $74,425 while the non-hybrid can be had for $66,295. Meanwhile, the Lexus full-size hybrid costs $6,000 more than the regular version but only gets 1-2 mpg better combined fuel economy. The result of all these high costs? Low sales. Through April, GM sold 82 of its hybrid SUVs and pickups, down from 541 a year earlier. And the LS hybrid sales were in single-digit territory for April. That isn't stopping Lexus from promoting its hybrids as the right solution (with the wrong facts), though. There are still automakers giving big hybrid vehicles a shot, though. Nissan's Infiniti division is selling a hybrid version of its QX60 and says an impressive 10 percent of QX60 buyers choose the hybrid, which costs just $3,000 more. Looks like money talks. 2015 Spanish F1 Grand Prix makes its Deutsche mark
Mon, May 11 2015The first race of the European Formula One season inaugurates the second phase of the Championship. Teams overhaul their cars with the big updates they've been working on since Australia, and at the end of The Battle of Spain we find out how the positions on the field have changed. Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver Nico Rosberg brought a big update to his psychology, straight-up beating teammate Lewis Hamilton to take his first pole position of the season. Mercedes owns the front row and Ferrari maintains its status as primary challenger, Sebastian Vettel lining up in third. Williams proved it's been hitting the books to do better in class, though, Valtteri Bottas slotting into fourth. And Toro Rosso's visit to a track that rewards strong aero rewarded them with the best team grid position since the Italian Grand Prix in 2008: Carlos Sainz secured fifth, ahead of Max Verstappen in sixth. Kimi Raikkonen's bout of Saturday woes – it seems the Finn is always handicapped by lots of tiny issues – continued in Barcelona with one of his sets of prime tires getting cooked by malfunctioning tire warmers. He recovered well enough to take seventh on the grid, but he's got some strong competition ahead of him. He led three other drivers in the Continuous Issues department, Daniil Kvyat unable to wrestle his Infiniti Red Bull Racing higher than eighth, Williams driver Felipe Massa getting it wrong in Turn 3 to fall five places behind his teammate Bottas, and Daniel Ricciardo in the second Red Bull enduring another engine change and sloppy car behavior to get tenth. And while it turned out to be a steady race a little rough around the edges, the positions on the battlefield just might have changed. A little. Of the 66 laps in the race we might have seen Rosberg for three of them – maybe. The German got a smashing start, had a clear lead into Turn 1, and after that we checked in occasionally during his two pit stops and again at the checkered flag. He owned the entire weekend the way we're used to seeing his teammate do, and the cameras left him alone to run his race. No one got within seven seconds of him during the first third, and as the pit stop strategies played out that cushion grew. He finished seventeen seconds ahead of Hamilton, and 45 seconds ahead of third-placed Vettel. Hamilton, on the back foot all three days, stumbled out of the gate.
