architecture was derived from the Speedster and Z-series Models, a tubular chassis frame with coil-over shock
suspension, control arms in front and 4-link at the rear, rack & pinion steering and four wheel vented power disc
brakes. The powertrain is a GM Vortec V8 5.3 liter engine and 4-speed 4L60E automatic transmission. The fiberglass
body rises only 51" from the pavement, exactly the same as the original and the whole car weighs just over 2,700
pounds. Just 20 were built before Speedster Motorcars went into remission in March of 2008. A virtually new car
with 2000 miles since built, this GW Coupe is stunning in Arctic Silver over berry leather. The doors operate in
the iconic overhead fashion, leading one to a cockpit that is equally elegant. Almost hidden are the creature
comforts from air conditioning to an analog clock. The instruments elegantly finished in white on grey. Not
withstanding the chrome wheels, the car has restrained brightwork. The whole package represents good value and
convenience, with just 20 built, it is a rare car for sure. The car is titled as a 1955 mercedes.

2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec gets 33 mpg, priced from $38,950*

It's been more than a year since we first saw the 2013 Mercedes-Benz GLK250 Bluetec unveiled at the 2012 New York Auto Show, but it looks like the compact diesel crossover is finally starting to roll into dealerships. Those wanting to buy a diesel GLK will only have to pony up an extra $1,500 over a base, gas-powered GLK350, as the GLK250's starting price is listed at $38,590 (*not including $905 destination charge).
The turbocharged 2.1-liter four-cylinder diesel produces 200 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque, and Mercedes-Benz has also provided some fuel economy numbers for this model, with claimed EPA estimates of 24 miles per gallon city and 33 mpg highway. There is no listing for the GLK250 on the EPA's website yet, but the figures represent significant increase over the GLK350's lackluster 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway figures, which are for the rear-wheel drive model. The GLK250 comes standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system - a $2,000 option on GLK350 - meaning that if you want an all-wheel-drive version of the 2013 GLK, it's actually cheaper to opt for the diesel model. Mercedes says it's tops in luxury sales for 2012, not BMW

It turns out that Mercedes-Benz North America has legitimate claim to being the top selling luxury nameplate in the US in 2012.
While sources such as Autodata had put BMW in the top spot, registration data from R.L. Polk shows that Mercedes customers registering new vehicles topped the Bavarian automaker in the most recent calendar year. Polk says Benz posted 274,123 registrations, compared with BMW's 268,498.
In terms of sales posted, BMW had bested Benz 281,460 to 274,134. But sales are recorded somewhat inconsistently from automaker to automaker. Some book the sales as soon as they are shipped from factory to dealer. There is perennial gamesmanship between the two German rivals, and the sales numbers suggest that BMW pushed out some extra sheetmetal to dealers in the last four weeks of the year.
