Mercedes Benz Gl320 Cdi Gl Diesel Mb Suv on 2040-cars
Decatur, Illinois, United States
This has been my baby, but it is time for her to go. I need a work truck and I simply can not afford a new one and this car at the same time. This car is in overall good shape, but I encourage you to come look at it and take it for a spin in person. It looks great, but it is almost 8 years old will 99K miles on it.
The car is bone stock and ready for you to jump in and look great driving it. No over sized wheels, tuners, or electrical gadgets. The front tires are a little noisy now that the tread is lower on them, and the normal window trim clear coat peeling is happening. Which is just common on these cars. I included a photo. I remember seeing one small door ding, and a very small scuff on one wheel. Nothing major I simply want to try to describe it to the best of my ability. This has the front sunroof, navigation, rear moonroof, rear seat tv's, rear climate controls, power everything, luggage rack, etc. Basically it is the bee's knees. I have done as well as 27.1 mpg on the highway, but usually look to the 23-25mpg highway range. I also average 21 with mixed driving normally. It really is hard to beat the looks, comfort, and economy of the Mercedes diesel vehicles. When buying a GL you should beware the air suspension can have issues, luckily on this one they were replaced about 30k miles ago. It has has had new seals, and some other maintenance and warranty items done to keep it in tip top shape. I do have lots of receipts to hand over to the new owner. It will be nearing an oil change soon, but I have not been driving it much. Overall this is a good vehicle with plenty of life left. I try to give as much personal opinion as I can think of about my cars. Not to make them sound bad, but to give you the confidence in bidding and knowing you are getting a solid car with no major imperfections. So please feel free to come check it out and bid with confidence. I am truly sad to even consider selling her. The Black on Black was hard to find, and I truly enjoy the GL series especially with the diesel. Feel free to ask any questions. |

Editors' Choice: Top Five 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show Debuts
Thu, Sep 17 2015Consider the 2015-16 auto show season officially kicked off. The Frankfurt Motor Show offered a great look at the newest crop of production cars and conceptual machines, and brought some old favorites back into the spotlight for a closer look. (The Alfa Romeo Giulia, for example, debuted in June, but this was the first time most of us saw it.) Now that the dust has settled and we're all on flights back to the US, our editors cast their votes for their personal favorites from the Frankfurt show. These are the cars we truly loved seeing the most. But unlike other shows, there was no one runaway winner – all of the Top Five received positive praise from our team. We won't spoil the results, though. Scroll down to see what we liked most from this year's Frankfurt expo. 5th Place – MERCEDES-BENZ IAA CONCEPT View 12 Photos MIKE AUSTIN: The clean lines on this concept have me excited for a more elegant beauty to future Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Next to the Concept IAA, the lovely S-Class Coupe looks like an overstyled barge. DAVID GLUCKMAN: Yeah, the extendable rear is neat and all, but I'm more interested in the front-end styling of this one. It looks like the Tron version of a 300SL, in a good way. I'm hopeful it portends the future of Mercedes design. STEVEN EWING: I was super impressed when Mercedes said that, with the rear end extended, this concept has a drag coefficient of just 0.19. That's crazy aerodynamic. I'm not head-over-heels about the styling, but I think the lessons learned from this concept are really important, and will play a huge role in the future of Mercedes' products. 4th Place – ALFA ROMEO GIULIA View 15 Photos SEYTH MIERSMA: I can hardly express how in love with this car I am. The styling feels creative, modern, and evocative, without going over the top. The proposed performance is spectacular. And the Alfa badge speaks to a legacy of romantic motoring. DAVID GLUCKMAN: Pretty Italian car makes big promises and will probably deliver on about three quarters of them. I think that will still be enough for me. JEREMY KORZENIEWSKI: I'm really intrigued by the Giulia. It looks great, sounds awesome, and I'm expecting it to have a load more character than its German rivals. I hope I'm not disappointed. 3rd Place – JAGUAR F-PACE View 15 Photos GREG MIGLIORE: It's the first SUV for Jaguar, and I think they nailed the design, capability, and electronics. It's the right car at the right time.
Consumer Reports declares most and least loved cars [w/video]
Wed, Dec 3 2014Consumer Reports is crunching the numbers from its annual owner-satisfaction survey, and part of that process is finding out how attached drivers are to their cars. CR simply asks readers of models up to three years old if they would buy the same vehicle again in light of their entire ownership experience, and tallies the results. After looking at the responses for about 350,000 vehicles, it turns out that people really love a certain California-built, electrically powered luxury sedan. That's right, this year's the overall winner was the Tesla Model S with a whopping 98 percent of owners saying they would purchase another one (the Model S also won this award last year, with 99 percent satisfaction). The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in a close second with 95 percent of drivers hoping to park another one in their garage. A few models weren't quite so favored, though. The Nissan Versa Sedan was the least loved model among its owners; a mere 42 percent said that they would purchase another. The aging Jeep Compass didn't do much better, with just 43 percent of drivers willing to buy the softroader again. On average, about 70 percent of owners say they would buy their car again, and only four cars ranked below 50 percent in CR's findings. Check out the video above to see some of the winners and losers in a few of CR's categories. If you're a subscriber, you can check out the full list on its website.
