Mercedes-benz G-class G550 on 2040-cars

I'm selling my 2011 Mercedes Benz G550 SUV. The vehicle has around 45,560 miles, I still drive it so the milage will continue to increase. It's obsidian black with chestnut/black leather interior (much nicer than the all too common black leather). I bought this two years ago as a CPO from Mercedes, I am the second owner. With it comes warranty for 135,000 miles or 7 years (March of 2018). There is also one more Service A which is covered under an optional service contract that was purchased when I bought the vehicle. This service is well over $1000 and is not for another 2700 miles. I am selling because I will need to start driving a lot for work and cannot justify driving this because of the gas milage. The 2011 G550 comes standard with Bi-Xenon headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, Harman/Kardon audio with 11 speaker 610watt, iPod connection and navigation, 5.5 liter V8 with 382bhp and 391 lb ft torque., 7 speed automatic, AWD (all wheel drive) with three locking differentials, and low range transfer case. I had new BFG All/Terrain tires installed at 42,000 miles, so the tires are almost new. I have always had weather tech floor mats inside since I've owned the vehicle. The roof is covered with a clear wrap to prevent unseen bird droppings etc. from harming the paint. I have all of the service records for the vehicle. Mercedes-Petronas AMG W04 launched to little fanfare, lots of pressure [w/video]
Tue, 05 Feb 2013No indoor cocktail hour for the launch of the W04, the newest chassis built by the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One team. Instead, Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton spent a morning in photo and video sessions at the track in Jerez, Spain then paused a moment to introduce the car. The team will want the W04 to demonstrate the World Championship credentials of the team personnel and one of the team drivers, instead of the mostly humble performances we've seen over the past three years.
The W04 has been fitted with a new five-element front wing, pushrod front and pull-rod rear suspension, a second-generation Coanda exhaust and an "aggressively packaged" rear end. A small vanity panel, à la Infiniti Red Bull's RB9, covers the stepped nose.
Team principal Ross Brawn has called it "a clear step forward in design and detail sophistication," but as much as we truly respect Brawn's abilities and achievements, we heard him say similar things about the updated W03 last year before almost every race weekend from about mid-season. We really hope he's right this time, and so does the team's newest driver, Lewis Hamilton. We'll do our best to ignore the parallels of the Mercedes F1 team having signed a sponsorship deal with Blackberry, another company trying to find its way back to the top and still struggling, and just point you to the video below of the W04 in action.
2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG rumbles on stage 4Matic style
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Bruce Hornsby and his soothing piano skills helped introduce us to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but the monstrous E63 AMG sedan needed no entrance music as it rumbled on stage. The 550-horsepower (and up) sedan sat proudly alongside the rest of the redesigned E-Class on stage at the Detroit Auto Show, but stood miles apart in intention and execution.
In addition to a choice of sedan and wagon body styles, the E63 AMG will also offer buyers the choice of the standard 550 hp or an upgraded 577-hp S-Model; regardless of output, all 2014 E63 AMG models will come standard with the 4Matic all-wheel-drive system.

2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class revealed again in 1:18 scale
Fri, 10 May 2013There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but it could end up being a fairly anticlimactic reveal thanks to fully exposed spy shots, a leaked press photo and now images of a diecast version of the luxury sedan. Autoweek.nl has images showing a highly detailed 1:18 scale model of the redesigned S-Class that matches up with everything we've seen so far.
This isn't the first time a model car spoiled a new vehicle's reveal, as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and 2013 SRT Viper were both unceremoniously revealed in toy form first. World Car Fans is reporting that the car 2014 S-Class will be officially unveiled on May 15, but at this point, all that's left to wonder about is the official on-sale date and what will be under the hood.
