Im the second owner of this fabulous vehicle. Its the most reliable and capable truck I've ever encountered and on top of it its unique. Never abused, towed or used off road. Allways garage kept in the garage you can see in some of the pics. Oil changes done at recommended intervals with Mobil1 Synthetic. Used mainly for snow days and when transporting large items. Some light cosmetic and functional upgrades include. LED tail lights (mostly for safety) Upgraded main lights. Upgraded grill Reversed spare tire. Can be easily put back and includes the tire cover in great condition Upgraded electronics GPS/NAV/CD/XM with Bluetooth from Pioneer with steering wheel control integration AMG floor mats The good: Great paint quality (detailed every year) No tears anywhere in leather Tires have plenty of tread (spare is new) Engine and drivetrain are super reliable The no so good Disconnected headlight washer when grill was installed (never felt a need for it) Passenger seat forward only works from preset, not slider. Will need a switch module at some point (just like every G from this era) TeleAid is not active and returns a message to that affect when started A few tiny rust spots. One on lower windshield perimeter visible in picture, a few on front bumper and lower bumper, and a few on rear door top.

Petrolicious shows Mercedes 280SL as architecture in motion
Wed, Jun 17 2015While still an absolute beauty today, the design of the pagoda-roof W113 Mercedes-Benz SL was revolutionary when it debuted. Moving away from the soft curves of the previous SL models, the all-new generation brought an upright, angular shape that was as much architectural as automotive. In the latest video from Petrolicious, owner and architect Daniel Monti expounds on the inspiration that he gets from his 1969 280SL's fantastic styling. The roof is the most famous design feature of this generation of SL. Look at the top from the front or back, and you can see a gentle, downward arc that evokes the look of a pagoda. That one styling element is also a fabulous counterpoint to a vehicle that is largely more angular than curvaceous. Petrolicious wonderfully illustrates how some of the SL's form-follows-function design aesthetic can be found in the architect's work in this video's heaping helping of mid-century modern goodness.
Mercedes-Benz C350 Plug-In Hybrid promises 20 miles EV range, 5.9 seconds to 60
Mon, Jan 12 2015Mercedes-Benz has introduced its first hybrid C-Class to the US market with the new C350 Plug-In Hybrid. Despite its fuel-saving purpose, though, this C is not short on firepower. MB paired a 208-horsepower, 258-pound-foot, turbocharged four-cylinder with a 80-hp, 251-lb-ft electric motor for a potent overall output of 275 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. That translates a 0-60 time of just 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 130 miles per hour. For those that aren't interested in such frivolous numbers, though, the C-Class can still impress in more environmentally friendly ways. It can cover 20 miles to a charge and will hit speeds of up to 80 miles per hour (although not likely at the same time). Naturally, fuel economy figures aren't available at this early stage. Beyond those powertrain changes, the C350 Plug-In is still the same relaxed, luxurious baby S-Class, with a class-leading interior that should really benefit from the quiet ride provided by an electric powertrain.
