2003 G55. This vehicle has just gone through a very extensive and very expensive
service. Including but not limited to; valve cover gaskets, complete tune up, oil change, 4 new pirelli tire and
new set or rims, 4 new shocks, new transmission mount and all new transfer case mounts, oil cooler gaskets, cabin
filter, exhaust gaskets and hardware, front and rear diff fluid service, transfer case fluid service, brake fluid
flush, power steering flush, power steering return hose, power steering reservoir, wheel alignment, new agm
battery, wiper blades, l/f window regulator and motor, right rear window regulator with motor, throttle body
service, new suede headliner, exterior g63 conversion, new front bumper, projector head lights, led head light
frames, new grille, side view mirrors, led tail lights and other led lighting replacements. i also had the rear
bumper and spare tire cover refinished when i had the front bumper installed. The radio head unit has been upgraded
to a pioneer unit that has bluetooth, back up camera and navigation. The speakers have also been upgraded and
larger amps installed along with a sub. The truck is in great running condition. The inside and outside show very
little wear and tear for the age and the mileage. The seats are free from any major rips and tears. the exterior
is free from any major dents. Some areas to note are the left front fender has some light scratches near the turn
signal area. The left rear fender flair also light scratches. The spare tire stainless ring also has some light
scratches. It also has some rock chips near the wiper area. The interior sill plates in the front no longer
illuminate at night. And most recently when getting detailed the car wash broke the glove box door handle. The car
does shows a fault when started for the SOS system. Otherwise this is a very nice truck with lots of life left in
it. It turns heads wherever and whenever i drive it.

Mercedes-AMG planning more hardcore A45 hot hatch

Mon, Nov 24 2014

The launch of the A45 AMG marked Mercedes-Benz's first real assault on the premium hot hatch segment. And with 355 horsepower from a 2.0-liter turbo four, it is indeed hot. But the latest word has it that Mercedes-AMG is planning an even hotter version. Speaking with Auto Express at the LA Auto Show last week, AMG boss Tobias Moers indicated that his department was toying with the idea of a more hardcore version of the A45. In what Moers referred to as a "street fighter," the A45's engine would be tuned to produce even more power, the cabin stripped out and the rolling stock, brakes and aero upgraded for more serious performance. Think of it, then, as something of a Black Series approach, only it's not expected to carry that name, which has historically been reserved specifically for two-door models. Given AMG's current list of priorities and limited manpower, though, Moers suggests it will be several years – likely towards the end of the model's life cycle – before it may prepare such a model, following a similar formula to the Mini JCW GP and Renaultsport Megane R26.R. Here's hoping an American version based on the CLA could also be in the cards.

Mercedes making aggressive plans for Chinese market

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Mercedes-Benz is preparing a major product offensive to counteract lagging sales in the Chinese market, aiming 20 new or updated models at the People's Republic in the next two years, according to a report by Reuters. The plan is part of MB's so-called 2020 Initiative, which will see the Stuttgart-based manufacturer dump 2 billion Euros ($2.67 billion) into its Chinese market vehicles in a bid to boost sales to 300,000 units by 2015.
Were it to succeed, China would become the largest market for the Silver Arrow, outpacing Germany and the United States. Leading the charge will be the redesigned E-Class, which is set to launch in China this week. That will quickly be followed by the S-Class, and eventually by the GLA-Class in 2014.
Mercedes has struggled in China, especially relative to its German competition, BMW and Audi. Where Mercedes saw a mere four-percent increase in 2012 sales to 206,150 units, Audi was up a staggering 32 percent, while BMW's numbers jumped 41 percent. While some voices, according to Reuters, accuse Munich and Ingolstadt of boosting their numbers through hefty incentives, the fact remains that Mercedes was just walloped by its competitors last year.

Time to catch up with Jay Leno's Garage, including his Lamborghini Espada restoration

Tue, Dec 23 2014

If you're already jealous of the time, effort and money that Jay Leno can devote to his massive car collection, prepare to get a little greener with envy with this latest video from Jay Leno's Garage. Instead of the usual format of discussing a model for about ten minutes and then taking it out for a test drive, this week Leno gives viewers on a tour of over a dozen projects concurrently happening in his stable. The breadth of the vehicles shown and the things being done to them run the entire span of the automotive hobby. At the same time, Jay's shop is working on just a simple restoration of his 1969 Lamborghini Espada (pictured), and at the other side of the building, the team is rebuilding a wood-bodied 1914 Detroit Electric from scratch. He eventually plans to slot a more modern electric drivetrain into it. If bikes are more your interest, there's a freshly completed Brough Superior just waiting for a ride, and if American models are your thing, a Ford Bronco is getting a Coyote V8 installed into it. You have some very specific tastes if you can't watch this clip and start wishing at least one of these vehicles could be in your own garage. Other than the personal projects his mechanics are working on in the shop, Jay gets to have them all, plus plenty more.
