I am basically giving this G Wagen away at this price. Needs to go now! Buy it now price is only a few hundred more than reserve to weed out non paying bidders. If you have zero feedback or no paypal acct please contact me before bidding. Secondly this is a 1985 G class wagon W460 but i had to list as a 1980 because Ebay cant configure the vin number. Selling a very nice Mercedes G280 Rare Air conditioning! Unleaded gas vehicle. Made for U.S. driving, nothing special needed to drive. Dirt cheap registration and insurance. Factory running boards. New Keyless entry. New high end stereo with ipod hookup. This G Wagon was one of the very rare imported by Europa and was made for U.S. driving. Normal speedometer etc. Manual five speed Transmition makes it very fun to drive. 4x4 was just thoroughly gone through last year and functions great! Drives at highway speeds with no problems. Over $5,000 spent last year on everything from new gas tank, rear springs, sending unit, fuel filter, air filter, shocks, to high end Kenwood stereo system that is Bluetooth and Ipod capable and keyless entry alarm system. New tires. Factory 18" Mercedes wheels. Retains Titanium silver factory paint and unlike most out there has very little rust, a small amount next to the gas cap and some bubbles around the windshield. Frame and undercarraige are undercoated to prevent rust. Zero structural rust. Very clean underneath. factory cloth and leather interior is very clean. Dash area is like new, headliner is great. Some wear to drivers seat, others are excellent. All glass is perfect no cracks or rock chips, with dark tint. This G Wagen is fuel efficient as well and is very reliable with no major computers or electric systems that can break. It also never needs emission testing and the registration is dirt cheap. it is the ultimate off road vehicle. Long wheel base. My original plans were to paint it all Mercedes pearl white and recover the seats with black leather. I just don't have the heart to do it because the factory paint (with the exception of some minor bubbles as pictured) is just too nice and someone will surely love the retro look of the interior. The neat thing about these is that they look almost the same as the new models that cost around $165,000. Ive seen this model cloned to look just like the brand new G500, the body is almost identical. When driving this it gets all the looks because it is such an unusual and large truck, it towers over most SUV trucks and is built like a tank. With that being said it would look amazing modernized with new bigger wheels and off road style tires. It already has modern luxuries in the new Kenwood ipod system and keyless entry. It also comes with genuine black sheepskin covers not installed. Rear brakes are a bit soft and will need work. These are easy rigs to work on and the parts cost a fraction of the new ones. Imagine owning a G-class for less than a Honda with easy maintenence! I am selling it way below market value so someone will get a good deal on a timeless style truck that will last forever and actually appreciate as you drive. I welcome any and all inspections prior to auction end. Ask all questions and inspect before bidding. I can help with transport anywhere. Thank you.

2020 Colorado Winter Driver's Notes | Behind the Wheel S02 // E12
Mon, Apr 6 20202020 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 I’ve had bad luck with SUVs this winter. Especially performance ones. First, I got a 2019 Range Rover Sport SVR delivered on summers right as two feet of snow fell, rendering it undriveable. Then, coronavirus cancelled Easter Jeep Safari as well as my trip out to Moab in the 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Diesel. Thankfully, when this 469 horsepower luxury mall crawler was dropped off, the sun shone down and the snow (mostly) held off. The first thing that I noticed was there were a few blank buttons throughout the cabin, something that you may see in an entry model vehicle, but IÂ’m not accustomed to seeing in an AMG. Not a great look for a vehicle with an $80,000 price tag. Thankfully that was where the disappointment ended. As soon as you press the start button, the engine fires up and the exhaust note is incredible. Hopping on the highway ramp near my house, I floored it, and the biturbo V8 had me pressed back into the driver's seat, and this wasnÂ’t even the S version that our staff drove last year. Inside and out, the GLC 63 was everything youÂ’d expect from Mercedes. The interior was immaculate, and while the infotainment wheel and touch pad may take some getting used to for someone who isnÂ’t familiar, by now I have it down so that I can use it without looking. And while the V8 left me smiling ear to ear, I was most impressed by the amount of useable interior space there is. I happened to be moving at the time of this review and while all of my large furniture was shoved into the back of a moving van, I was able to fit almost everything else in the back of the GLC. 2019 and 2020 Fiat 500X Trekking ItÂ’s hard to say goodbye to an AMG and then turn around and be excited when a Fiat 500X pulls in your driveway (I know, I know, automotive journalist problems). That being said, when the red Fiat pulled up, I found myself admiring it. I am very familiar with the 500X. Back in 2016 Autoblog had one for a year as our long term test vehicle. I drove that car everywhere, multiple trips up north in Michigan, and even tracked it at Gingerman Raceway for a few laps before the brakes started smoking. The 2019 model I had in my driveway and the 2020 model I drove in the snow up in the mountains feel very similar to that car. The interior is stylish and surprisingly roomy. The greenhouse is airy.
Mercedes raises the roof on new CLA Shooting Brake [UPDATE]
Tue, Nov 25 2014UPDATE: As we feared, the CLA Shooting Brake is not currently slated for US availability. The text below has been adjusted accordingly. Of all the variants in Mercedes' smallest line, only one doesn't have a liftgate, and that's the CLA-Class. But don't worry, the German automaker is out to fix that too with the reveal of the new CLA Shooting Brake you see here. Based on the same platform that underpins the CLA four-door coupe, the A-Class hatchback, B-Class minivan and GLA crossover, the new Shooting Brake applies a similar formula we've already seen on the bigger CLS Shooting Brake but in a much smaller form – which is to say, it's a wagon, but a shapely one. The revised roofline means more headroom in the back seat and significantly more cargo capacity than the four-door's trunk. Mercedes will offer the CLA with a variety of engine choices, including a 2.1-liter turbodiesel with either 136 or 177 horsepower, a 1.6-liter four with 122, 156 or 211 horsepower. That last model will even be available with 4Matic all-wheel drive for those not enamored by the idea of a front-drive Benz, but the top of the range, of course, is the CLA45 AMG Shooting Brake that carries the same 2.0-liter turbo four – all 360 horsepower of it – as the four-door CLA45 as well as the A45 and GLA45. Driving once again to all four wheels, Daimler says it'll reach 62 in 4.7 seconds (even quicker than the crossover) and top out at the usual 155 miles per hour. Of course those options only apply to markets where the new Shooting Brake will be offered. And unfortunately, Mercedes-Benz USA confirmed to Autoblog that (like the CLS wagon) the CLA Shooting Brake won't be making the transatlantic voyage to US showrooms (where the E-Class is the only low-slung Benz wagon on offer). That leaves the four-door CLA and the GLA crossover still holding down the pint-sized fort for Mercedes. THE NEW MERCEDES-BENZ CLA SHOOTING BRAKE: SPACE FOR SOMETHING NEW Stuttgart. Breathtakingly sporty proportions and a powerfully dynamic design idiom with sensuously shaped surfaces already made the CLA unmistakable in its four-door Coupe guise. It is now followed by a further design icon, the CLA Shooting Brake, with a unique look all of its own. The lower overall height and the elongated coupe-style roof contour line, the low greenhouse and the sweep of the high beltline are the key design features of its distinctive profile.
Mercedes FWD platform to last until 2018, convertible and two-seater future uncertain
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Mercedes-Benz seems to be expecting a lot of success from its front-wheel-drive CLA-Class. Automotive News is reporting that the sub-C-Class sedan could grow when its second generation arrives in 2018.
The current FWD platform for MB underpins the CLA, the B-Class, the GLA-Class, and the A-Class. The B-Class will arrive in North America as an EV for spring of 2014, while the production GLA crossover will arrive three to four months after that. The five-door A-Class won't be crossing The Pond. Sad faces all around.
According to AN, another model will be based on the front-drive architecture, but it won't be coming to the US market. Set to arrive next year, rumors are that it'll be a wagon version of the CLA, sort of like the ill-named five-door CLS Shooting Brake that is also a Europe-only item.
