Golden, Connecticut, United States
Email me at : angm2grimes@engineer.com 1982 Mercedes Benz GE 280. Due to European VIN # ebay will not let me list thisas a 1982. This is a Civilian vehicle and NOT a converted Military vehicle. Ithas been upgraded to a 463 appearance at some point. It also has Brabus labelson it. So I am not sure if it was originally produced as a Brabus or if it wasdone later. There is no apparent rust on the body, paint is very presentable, runs as it should, all gauges work. There is a new in-the-box Blaupunkt radiothat comes with car (not installed) as The face of radio is missing. New LEDtail lights, all new cable harnesses for lights, Actual mileage unknown.43,000km on odometer. Interior could use a couple of small repairs but is inpresentable condition. Hardtop in very good condition. Sold as-is. Reasonableoffers considered. Clear Colorado Title. I have a fold down soft top frame thatcan be purchased separately from a 463 model. These are very rare and verydifficult to locate and very expensive if you do. I would sell it for $2,500which is what it cost me to buy it and ship it from Europe. This will NOT beincluded in the sale of the car as it is for sale separately.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.
Be sure to check out the video below, along with our original posting on the S63 AMG.
Daimler employees can set email to auto-delete during vacation
Mon, 18 Aug 2014The Internet has shrunk the world in terms of the way people communicate by making it possible to send an email from Oslo and have it show up in Cleveland almost immediately. But that instant contact has wrecked the work/life balance for many. They get home from a long day at the office, yet they can never fully put their feet up and relax because another hour or more of checking and replying to emails awaits. However, German automotive giant Daimler is putting an end to that churn, at least while its employees are on vacation.
About 100,000 Daimler employees in Germany are eligible to opt-in to a new program called Mail on Holiday, according to The Atlantic. When the workers go on vacation, they can switch it on, and the service auto-deletes all of their incoming email. "Our employees should relax on holiday and not read work-related emails," said Wilfried Porth, board member for human resources, to The Financial Times as cited by The Atlantic.
Mail on Holiday puts a thumb on the scale of work/life balance in favor of a little more free time. The system means that Daimler employees shouldn't even be tempted to check their email on vacation because there's nothing there - and it also avoids them coming back from a relaxing holiday only to find a mailbox packed full of hundreds of unread messages. These days, people are absolutely obsessed with their work, often to the detriment of their health, not to mention spending time with their families and friends. On one hand, Mail on Holiday sounds like the sort of vacation breakthrough we'd need to truly unplug and unwind, but on the other hand, it makes our skin crawl just thinking about the lack of communication.
