This car means business!
This 2008 CLS550 was owned by a young doctor's wife who rarely left the garage with it. And when she did drive it, she drove like an old lady. Now, it's ready for action.
She sold it when she divorced Dr. Husband and when it left her hands, the new owner quickly turned this into a man's car like no other.
The standard glossy black paint was upgraded to a an impressively original flat black (like a matted charcoal color), and it draws crowds and questions at every stop. Whether at the gas pumps or at the evening outing, men and women alike always have to ask about it.
It looks like a boss rapper or an all-star pro athlete's ride, and it somehow fits in at the symphony valet lot and also the Harley rider's bar just the same.
While the doctor's wife may never have realized this, the 382 horsepower aluminum V8 easily rockets to 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and it seems like no strain at all. It's too easy to speed in this car because it handles so beautifully.
The high performance Parelli tires snug up to the 18" 7-spoke alloy wheels with precision, and the bright red brakes look like a subtle, yet mean accent.
This car spent most of its time in the garage when the doctor's wife owned it, and now its odometer reads around 46,600 but if you look at the trunk, the seats, and the carpet, you can see how this car looks like it just left the custom showroom.
Clean Carfax report available upon request. Report was purchased by seller on May 14, 2013.
Heated and vented seats, an electronic trunk closer, tire pressure monitoring system, and an anti-theft alarm that disables the engine are all part of this impeccable package.
Now owned by an individual in Houston, Texas where it can be viewed or you can set up a test drive (contingent on background check).
Scammers don't bother. Seller has a lengthy law enforcement background, and will locate and prosecute criminals.
As equipped, this car's sticker was $73,000 when it was bought but that was before the engine cowlings were upgraded for show and the paint was upgraded to what you see here.
Just look at how the Mercedes emblems are dark and the windows tinted to finish off this amazing detail.
Let me know any questions or whether you want any other pictures.
All catalogues and owners manuals are included in the factory leather zipper case.

Mercedes caught testing stretched E-Class Maybach
Fri, Aug 21 2015The Mercedes-Maybach S600 won't be the only vehicle to wear the hyphenated name of two of the world's automotive luxury greats. That hulking S-Class will soon be joined by an E-Class variant, which should offer the same touch of subtle luxury as its big brother. At least, that's what we're guessing based on the latest round of spy photos, showing a stretched E-Class with some very telling camouflage. Pay attention, as our spies did, to the rear doors and C-pillar. Like the Maybach S600, the E-Class model features a larger quarter window, although unlike the S, the doors here look to be a bit larger than your usual E550 or E250. Also take note of the heavy tint on those rear windows. It's likely there to obscure whatever sumptuous hides and warm woods Maybach has fitted to the typically business-class interior. While the interior materials are likely to see sweeping changes, expect Mercedes to treat the exterior with a much gentler touch. There'll probably be some unique wheels and C-pillar-mounted Maybach badges, like what we've already seen on the S600. Check out the full round of spy photos up top, and stay tuned for more on the latest Mercedes-Maybach. Related Video:
Next Mercedes-Benz GLK to get AMG variant? Not likely...
Fri, 15 Mar 2013If you think Mercedes-Benz will slap an AMG badge on anything with wheels, think again. Word has it the German manufacturer will not offer buyers a performance version of the GLK, with Tobias Moers, director of AMG vehicle development, saying that he doesn't see a market for the car. That's not to say the picture won't change in the near future, however. According to CarAdvice.com, AMG is keeping a close eye on the arrival of the Porsche Macan.
"Maybe there will be a change in the market when the Porsche [Macan] comes up," Moers said, "but right now, no."
The real hitch in the giddy-up seems to be cost. Moers says developing the machine into something worthy of an AMG would represent "a huge investment." We can't exactly argue with that. Fortunately, AMG buyers have plenty of Mercedes-Benz models to choose from.
Highlights from the Goodwood Festival of Speed, including the McLaren P1 and a Ford Transit running the hill
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The sole purpose of this post is as a time-waster, and since you shouldn't have to work to waste time, we've done it for you. In the numerous videos below you'll find cars that have lately been in the news tramping all over the grounds of Lord March's estate in Goodwood, England.
There's the McLaren P1 heading up the hill, the Jaguar Project 7, then a casually-driven Porsche 917 followed by an even-more-casually-driven Porsche 956, topped off by a Porsche 936 that is anything but casually driven. The next round is the flame-spitting Peugeot 405 T16 Pikes Peak from Climb Dance, a camera mounted on the Peugeot RCZ R after it showing you what the whole, uninterrupted run up the hill looks like. For a real head-turner, we couldn't embed it but there's Andy Reid blasting up the hill in a Ford Transit Supervan with a Cosworth 3000 V6 engine.
The modern racing contingent has Allan McNish doing the hill in the Audi R18 e-tron quattro he used to win Le Mans and Lewis Hamilton making lots of tire smoke in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas MGP-W02. For comparison, that's followed by Nick Heidfeld's record-setting run up the hill in 1999 in the McLaren MP4/14 . The classic racing contingent is headlined by 71-year-old Giacomo Agostini on an MV Agusta.
