For auction is an 05 Mercedes-Benz Convertible CLK 320. Fresh from south Florida, and never driven in the winter. It has 84,000 miles. Stunning navy blue paint. Clean rims, and interior. It just makes you feel good while driving it. I am selling this for my father. However, my first car was a Mercedes Benz 300TD turbo diesel, and I currently own a 600s V12. I would always swear by Mercedes for their quality German engineering, luxury, safety, good looks and dependability. Good top, and does not leak. New tires, battery and alternator. Freshly serviced per its regular Mercedes maintenance schedule as all always. No fluid leaks, and no issues. I may consider delivering with a U-Haul car trailer within a reasonable distance <1000 miles, price TBD. The only bad thing I can say about the car is it has about a 6 inch scratch in passenger side quarter panel that may be repaired before end of sale. I'll keep you notified. Included in pics. EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi
Sun, 25 Nov 2012EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.

Porsche teams with Delta airlines to woo VIP passengers
Sun, 15 Sep 2013The next time you're waiting for a flight at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, see if you can spot a Porsche Cayenne or Panamera zipping between aircraft on the busy tarmac. The high-performance German vehicles aren't there practicing for an upcoming autocross; they are tasked with whisking some of the airline's most important customers between flights so they can keep their busy schedules intact.
Launched nearly two years ago, the program has proven popular with the automaker, airline and passengers as all benefit from the unique arrangement. Atlanta-based Porsche is able to showcase its cars to Delta's frequent-flying Medallion members, the airline is recognized for providing unusual perks to its high-value customers and those fortunate enough to be surprised with a quick lift are able to make connections without a stressful run through the terminal. Based on its success, the airline is rolling our similar programs in New York, Los Angeles and Minneapolis this month.
And don't think Porsche is the only automaker working with an airline to entice its frequent flyers. Mercedes-Benz ran a program over the summer that offered purchasing and leasing incentives to MileagePlus Premier members of United Airlines, and the two are currently shuttling top fliers around Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport in the automaker's S-Class and GL-Class models.
Mercedes to market Tesla-powered 2014 B-Class EV in U.S.
Thu, 05 Jul 2012Looks like another Tesla Motors investor will be looking to cash in on their connection. Autoweek reports Mercedes-Benz will offer their B-Class in the U.S. with Tesla propulsion.
The magazine says their source at the German automaker confirms plans for a B-Class electric-only vehicle. While Tesla already provides battery packs for the battery-powered Smart ForTwo, the B-Class EV will reportedly have Tesla batteries, motor and other components. U.S. residents should be able to procure one sometime in 2014.
The same Mercedes source says plans for a hybrid B-Class have been postponed for now. Adding a range-extending, gasoline-powered engine to an electric vehicle would put the car into a different class for which rebates and incentives aren't as favorable in the States.
