We have decided to sell our Black Series and go into a different direction. We love this car and that is why we
did all of these upgrades, but unfortunately it is time to move on. We are the 3rd owner, I know the 2nd owners
name and his California address is still in the Navi. However the Autocheck shows 6 owners since it went from
dealer to dealer. If a dealer has the car longer than a month they have to transfer the cars title into their name.
We bought the car locally from a dealer here in the Chicago area in April of 2014 and have put around 4K miles on
it since then, but only 150 this year. The plates expired in April and it needed emissions tested for us to renew,
at that point we kind of knew that we wanted to sell, so it just sat here. Yes, it will pass emissions.
Over the winter 2 pieces of carbon fiber cracked (lucky me), the ashtray and the shifter surround. I removed the
front bumper in February to get it repainted (rock chips & several previous touch ups) so I had the front louvers,
ashtray & surround redone by a carbon fiber guy. All 5 pieces look like new.

-Throttle blip/rev-match from Ralf with Stage II upgrade (last year)
-Secondary cats removed/X-pipe (no smell, no light, not that loud)
-Adjustable camber/toe bushings (last year)
-Rear control arm bushings (last year to fix wander)
-Girodisc front rotors (maybe 300 miles)
-Yellowstuff F&R brake pads (maybe 300 miles)
-New spark plugs (last year)
-Window tint (came with)
-Exterior lights tinted (just wrapped last year)

*More Pictures* This car has went up in value and I am sure that it will continue to do so. They imported 367 of these to North
America, most of those are Black, or Silver. The other 2 colors are Red (approx. 10 made) & White (approx. 35
made). Here is your chance to get a rare car that has all of the "required" upgrades already done!

The cars of notorious dictators

Tue, Apr 21 2015

It's good to be the king, at least until your people have had enough of you. Last week, we brought you famous presidential cars. This week, we're going to the opposite end of the political spectrum, looking at what history's mad men drove throughout their repressive and violent regimes. These dictators were absolutely powerful, and absolutely corrupt. More nightmares for their people than rulers, their iron-fisted control gave them the ability to satisfy any wild desire with nearly limitless funds. While they all splurged on luxury goods, cars were a particular passion of many dictators. Cars make a powerful statement to the public about wealth, status and control. It's how you are presented at ground level to your adoring masses or mortal enemies. A custom luxury car with plenty of armor plating reinforced the specialness and "otherness" of the ruler to friend and foe alike. Muammar Gaddafi, Libya, 1969 - 2011 Lybia's President for Life Muammar Gaddafi fancied himself not just a car enthusiast, but a car designer for the masses as well. He supposedly designed a car called the "Saroukh el-Jamahiriya" or Libyan Rocket. It had a 230-horsepower V6 and the nose and tail of a rocket. He was trying to produce a safer car. What makes it safe car? Tough to say. Not a lot was ever released it. Apparently the el-Jamahiriya did come with airbags and collapsible fenders in case of a collision. A spokesperson said "The invention of the safest car in the world is proof that the Libyan revolution is built on the happiness of man." We'll just have to take his word for it. When he wasn't designing his own cars, Gaddafi was ordering up custom rides, large and small. Besides a heavily armored BMW 7 Series and a Mercedes S-Class stretch limo, Gaddafi had this custom Fiat built at a cost of $260,000. The gold in the trim is real gold (of course) and comes with some touches that are pure Gaddafi. For instance, the Fiat badge was replaced with an outline of the continent of Africa, with Libya cut out in green. Rebels seized the Fiat and Gaddafi's other trappings of power after putting an end to Gaddafi's 42 years in control. Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier, Haiti, 1971 - 1986 Jean-Claude "Baby Doc" Duvalier was the second-generation dictator of Hati from 1971 to 1986. He made life hell for his people for 15 long years, starting when his father died when he was just 19 years old. Imagine if Justin Beiber was given a tiny island nation to run.

2015 Mercedes-Benz GLA priced from $31,300*

Mon, 28 Jul 2014

Mercedes-Benz has kindly let loose the price of the 2015 GLA-Class, telling Autoblog.com that the base 208-horsepower GLA250 in two-wheel drive will go for $31,300 *not including a destination charge of $925. That makes for $32,225 in total to get one off the lot, a price predicted as early as last year and in our recent First Drive. The other two available models can push power to all four wheels, and after the destination fee is applied the GLA240 4Matic (pictured) will be $34,225 while the 355-horsepower GLA45 AMG will change lives and wallets to the tune of $49,225.
On the base scale, that puts the GLA250 just a few hundred dollar bills above the more powerful, rear-wheel drive BMW X1 and a stack of hundreds below the less powerful, front-wheel drive Audi Q3. If you're keeping in-house score, the GLA250 comes in at $1,400 above its sedan platform-mate with the same engine, the CLA250. At the high end, however, the competition doesn't have anything that can touch the AMG trim. Not that it should matter all that much - Mercedes needed something to keep these buyers in the family, and now they have it. If any of them should need even more power and more money spent, then there's always that 394-hp Brabus flavor. We'll have more info and details on each trim when Mercedes unleashes the shebang in the not-too-distant future.
