Welcome Folks! Let me first start out by saying, you don't want this car. Why?? For starters, its way too fast. It has 302 exhilarating German-engineered ponies under the hood, and that is a recipe for speeding tickets. Secondly, it draws attention everywhere that you go. People constantly stop to bother you and say, "Nice car", or "Hey man, great convertible. I love the color". Who has time for that nonsense?? And lastly, its going to cost you a fortune to Valet this thing. Even when the Valet is complimentary, you have to tip the Valet a few bucks. And with a car like this, usually she/he will be expecting a lot more. But, if you can get past all that, and you like this awful red color (I hate Red), then I guess we can go past the disclaimer (don't say I didn't warn you) and get to the information about the car.

Have you been searching for an extra-clean, premium Import Convertible, that is in sensational condition, loaded to the hilt and won't break the bank? Then consider your search over. This low mileage CLK Convertible is the one you want to own. ONLY one, careful owner since new, exclusively dealer serviced, and owned by some rich lady that split her time and residence between Old Greenwich, CT and Naples, FL and Boca Raton, FL (you know, where Oprah lives, and of course, Boca Raton is considered by many the Beverly Hills of the East Coast). Obviously 10 months out of the year in Sunny South Florida, and then the beautiful first Summer of this CLK's life in Connecticut. For those of you unfamiliar with the demographics, these are 2 of the most affluent zip codes in the entire country. The lady had some bucks, and the way she maintained this Cabriolet, it certainly shows.

Welcome to an outstanding opportunity. You are viewing an incredibly beautiful, one-owner, incredibly low mileage and exclusively fair-weather-kept 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK430 Sport Convertible. This drop-top is sexy, sleek, extra-clean and priced thousands below retail. Certainly one of the HOTTEST color combinations available, and to find it in this condition, with this incredible low mileage, this is truly a no-brainer for those of you seriously looking for an exceptional Cabriolet. Stunning High-gloss Firemist Red Metallic Clearcoat exterior over Ash Grey leather interior, with complimenting insulated All-season Black canvas power top. This combination is rather hard-to-find, and when you do, its a great thing!

There's nothing quite like a clean, highly-polished, glossy Red sports car (one reason why both Ferrari and Lamborghini use them in the promo ads), and this CLK is the perfect canvas for that color. This one get looks and stares everywhere--top up, or down, and is an absolute pleasure to drive. Completely power, self-enclosed convertible top, with integrated roll bar and full power options. The rich Black canvas is in outstanding condition, and equipped with a rear defroster. In fact, this CLK has cold-weather options which consists of the rear defroster and Traction Control. The leather is in excellent condition as well, and the rich wood accents really give this CLK interior a distinguished appearance. What else would you expect from a privately-owned, garaged 33,000 mile pampered vehicle? That's less than 3,000 miles driven per year folks! And this CLK was always garaged.

It has had only one careful, mature owner and is loaded with everything. Add in the factory 6-disc CD changer ($400 option), rear sunshade, premium 18-inch AMG aluminum/alloy wheels and this CLK is as loaded as they come. With a window sticker price of $64,790 here is your chance to save a ton of money. This CLK convertible runs and drives superbly. I mean, this beauty truly drives like a new car! And with a complete set of brand new, premium heat-and-speed rated ContiTrac-style All-season performance radials all the way around, this CLK rides and handles like new as well. The look of this CLK is aggressive with its staggered AMG wheels (245/40R18 in the rear and 225/45R18 in the front), and the tires grip the road perfectly...and this car deserves them. They are brand spankin' new with less than 100 miles on them! And this CLK430 performs precisely in any driving condition....Wet, or Dry!

This MB CLK has a great stance and appearance and the factory wheels are engineered to provide the ultimate performance and handling. The factory aluminum alloy wheels really look great on this car, This CLK430 has plenty of power from its enormous 302-horsepower 4.3 liter powerplant and has significantly more power than its CLK320 sibling--and don't tell CLK320 owners, but it gets nearly the same fuel economy on the Interstate, due to its wide-range, electronically-controlled 5-speed transmission (with Overdrive). Purrrs like a kitten.....but roars like a Lion when you hit the gas pedal. The 5-speed automatic transmission (with Touch Shift) really provides effortless Interstate cruising and excellent fuel economy, all while enjoying your morning Cappuccino or Herbal Green Tea, without all the hassles of manually shifting. Try 18 miles per gallon around town, and an impressive 25 mpg on the highway. Everything works perfectly and properly, and this Mercedes was serviced by the pro's at the Mercedes dealership, not Joe from Joe's Garage (no offense Joe). Only touched by Certified MB technicians since Day 1. How's that for peace of mind!

It had an original price tag of $64,790 in 2003 and had the value added package and 6-disc factory CD changer. More options include BOSE high-power audio system, dual 10-way power seating (with dual 3-position Memory seating-both driver AND passenger side), Independent Climate Control, tilt/telescoping steering column, Multi-function steering wheel controls, Express power windows with one-touch up/down feature, Integrated Garage Door Opener and High-intensity headlights, along with all the standard MB features, this one is decked out. Factory fog lamps, Smart Key with remote locking and factory security system rounds out the package. Be the talk of your neighborhood--this is an awesome car.

2014 Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series [w/video]

Fri, 15 Nov 2013

The biggest misconception about the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series is that it's simply a higher-performing version of the SLS GT - a closer look, or better yet, a few hot laps on a high-speed racing circuit, reveals that is anything but the case.
Launched in the States in mid-2011, the standard SLS GT is a 583-horsepower, all-aluminum, gull-wing coupe with performance that positions it near the top of the exotic segment. While the AMG team at Mercedes-Benz could have left it alone, their experience with the SLS AMG GT3 race car said there was room for improvement, so they devised the SLS Black Series. The transformation from SLS GT to SLS Black Series is extensive, with no fewer than 17 different significant enhancements.
The engine mapping, crankshaft, connecting rods, valve-train, intake, exhaust and cooling are all modified and the engine's redline bumps up from 7,200 to 8,000 rpm, which pushes output of the hand-built 6.3-liter V8 to 622 horsepower. The power steering receives a new ratio, a coil-over AMG Adaptive Performance suspension is installed along with underbody braces, the track is widened, two-piece carbon-ceramic brakes replace iron rotors at each corner and a lightweight titanium exhaust is fitted beneath. The AMG Speedshift seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is modified and an electronically controlled AMG rear differential lock ensures the power goes to the pavement. Last on the mechanical upgrades are new lightweight forged wheels (10x19 inches front and 12x20 inches rear) wrapped in special R-compound Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

2015 Australian Grand Prix all about grooves and trenches [spoilers]

Sun, Mar 15 2015

We can't remember the last time 90 percent of the action in Formula One had nothing to do with cars setting timed laps. Yet that's was the situation at the Australian Grand Prix, continuing the antics from a scarcely believable off-season with blow-ups, driver and team absences, a lawsuit, and a clear need for some teams to get down and give us 50 pit stops. Nothing much has changed from a regulation standpoint, and at the front of the field nothing has changed at all. Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas claimed the first position on the grid like someone put a sign on it that read, "Reserved for Mr. Hamilton;" teammate Nico Rosberg was 0.6 behind in second, Felipe Massa in the Williams was 1.4 seconds back in third. Sebastian Vettel proved that Ferrari didn't do another Groundhog Day routine this off-season, slotting into fourth. His teammate Kimi Raikkonen was not even four-hundredths of a second behind, ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the second Williams, Daniel Ricciardo in the first Infiniti Red Bull Racing, and rookie Carlos Sainz, Jr. in the first Toro Rosso. Lotus, now powered by Mercedes, got both cars into the top ten with Romain Grosjean in ninth, Pastor Maldonado in the final spot. However, even though the regulations are almost all carryover, in actual fact, everything has changed this year. Mercedes is even faster. Renault is even worse. Ferrari and Lotus are a lot better. Toro Rosso is looking like anything but a junior team. And McLaren is – well, let's not even get into that yet. Furthermore, this weekend was shambles: 15 cars started the race, the smallest naturally-occurring grid since 1963. Manor couldn't get its cars ready before qualifying. Bottas had to pull out after qualifying when he tore a disc in his back and couldn't pass the medical clearance tests. The gearbox in Daniil Kvyat's Red Bull gave out on the lap from the pit to the grid, and to give misery some company, the Honda in Kevin Magnussen's McLaren blew up on the same lap. When the lights went out, Hamilton ran away and was more than a second ahead of his teammate at the end of Lap 1. The advantage disappeared, though, because behind him, at the first corner, we got our first pile-up. As Raikkonen drove around the outside of Vettel at the right-hand Turn 1 it looked like Vettel, going over the kerbing, hopped to his left and bounced into Raikkonen.

The Mansory Speranza proves that money can buy taste and good sense...

Tue, 05 Mar 2013

...Just kidding.
No one in their right mind has ever accused German tuners Mansory of being subtle. So, when our Geneva team wandered across the Mansory Speranza - A Mercedes-Benz Gelandewagen that has been denuded of its roof and spackled inside with quilted leather and red carbon fiber - they didn't ask a lot of existential questions. Why does the Speranza exist? Because Germans are weird sometimes, that's why.
Forget for a moment that you'll have to pay Mansory hundreds of thousands of euros (we're guessing, no pricing information has been revealed) for the privilege of converting your G-Class into something that looks like a Suzuki Samurai, and prepare to be impressed by the details. The tuning house has increased the output of the Mercedes V8 to a healthy 700 horsepower and 668 pound-feet of torque. The wheels are 24-inches, and wear almost unbelievable 305-section ultra-high performance Vresdestein tires. Carbon fiber can be found nearly everywhere one looks, including making up the housing for the spare tire. Oh, and there are leather pillows for the backseats... no word on whether they're standard or optional, but we're looking in to it.
