Super Sporty and fun, this is a great chance to buy a Mercedes at an affordable price. This car has been checked out by mechanics, and is all set to go. No accidents reported, clean carfax. Black on Black, with the black convertible top. Upgraded European option "Blue tinted" solar glass. Smooth, fast, and remarkably fuel efficient for a V8. Car averages in the mid 20's combined city/highway driving. Car was recently mini-detailed and hand waxed last week. The Black paint has held up well for its' age. Minor gray "smudge" marks in the paint around the fuel door, but that's it. Clean inside and out. Features a manual/power combo roof system. Once you unlatch the top manually, it goes into the trunk via a power motor switch. Latch mechanism was repaired/tightened about a month ago, so you don't have to worry about it for a long time. Chris Harris falls in love with Mercedes-AMG GT at Laguna Seca

While the SLS was bigger and more expensive, with the new GT, Mercedes has set its sights on one of the most iconic sports cars of all time. That, of course, would be the Porsche 911, and the big question is whether Benz has achieved its target. For the answer, we turn to none other than the Monkey himself – the inimitable Chris Harris, who recently went solo with his own YouTube channel. And for his latest segment, he took the latest German sports car around no less suitable a track than Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.

According to John Moore, director of A Good Day To Die Hard, starring Bruce Willis, There were 132 (cars) that could never be used again. Another 518 required a lot of work. And damn right there were some good cars there... That's the fun of it."

AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away
Mon, 16 Sep 2013After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.
