I am selling my absolutely amazing 2000 Mercedes CLK 320 Cabriolet (convertible). LOOK at the pictures carefully they say a thousand words! I don't use the phrase MINT condition very often but I gotta tell you. . ... this car is in as close to MINT condition as it gets! First of all the car is mechanically perfect in every way. It drives as straight and as tight as it did the day it came off the show room floor. The car has 4 matching Goodyear Assurance tires. The air blows ice cold and every function in the car works exactly as it should. The interior is in fantastic condition as you can clearly see in the pictures. There are no rip, stains, or burns. The exterior looks amazing and has very minimal wear for the year of this vehicle. All glass and lenses are perfect. Over all, there is only the most minor of imperfections on any part of this amazing CLK. The convertible top is in excellent condition and operates perfectly with NO leaks or issues. This car is so clean you can eat off the engine or any other part of the car for that matter. The underside of the car is beautiful and completely rust and leak FREE. The drive train is simply unbelievable. It has plenty of sporty power and acceleration. It also handles incredibly. I can guarantee that you will NEVER find another one of these CLKs in this condition relative to the year and miles. Quite frankly cars with 50,000 miles are not usually in the condition of this car. This car by the way, has 105,000 extremely well cared for miles. It is of course an automatic transmission and it's loaded with options! This car turns heads all day long! Be prepared to be stared at while stopped at traffic lights or while moving slowly when driving (especially with the top down)!

If I had to say anything about the car in reference to what it may need at some point it would be that the tires are about 50%. Don't get me wrong they are fine for a while but at some point you'll need to get a set. Also, I don't have the front floor mats. Believe it or not someone stole them! There are a few minor paint nicks and minor imperfections that have been touched up using the factory touch up paint that I will include in the sale. Also, there is a small crack in the bottom of the front air dam (the very bottom of the front of the vehicle, always happens to these cars). None of these few and very minor imperfections hardly takes away from this incredible automobile! Thats about it for the negatives. I have all the books, 2 key fobs, the original window sticker, absolutely everything you could want. I almost forgot, this is really a one owner car. The car fax, which is squeaky clean confirms 2 owners but the one owner only had the car for 4,000 miles! The car fax is PERFECT! I have the clean and clear title in my hand.

Bottom line, the car is incredible! Now pay close attention. . … I am pricing this thing for a very fast sale and I feel that I'm giving this thing away compared to what others are selling for on ebay and such. As well, if this were at a dealership they would be asking no less than $9,995.00 and quite frankly probably more. Cars like this one don't come around very often. These cars are all about condition and this one is as good as it gets!

Feel free to call with questions or delivery options as I will deliver this car to you anywhere in the country for a price! My name is Mike and I can be reached at 609-513-1588. My name is Mike.

Check my feedback and bid with confidence as I am 100%!

Why we can't have better headlights here in the U.S.

    Tue, Mar 13 2018

It wouldn't be a European auto show if we weren't teased with at least one mainstream vehicle we can't have here. At the Geneva Motor Show last week, the small but vocal contingent of shooting-brake buffs lamented that the Mazda6 wagon won't be coming to our shores, although they can take comfort in the fact that the vehicle won't get the torquey 250-horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine we'll get here. Mercedes-Benz also announced a new headlight technology in Geneva that likely won't be available here anytime soon. It's just the latest in a long line of innovative and potentially lifesaving front-lighting solutions that the federal government doesn't allow in this country due to outdated standards — and a current lack of leadership at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Mercedes-Benz's new Digital Light system that debuted in Geneva uses a computer chip to activate more than a million micro-reflectors to better illuminate the road ahead. The Digital Light headlamps works with the vehicle's cameras, sensors and navigation mapping to adjust lighting for the given location and situation and to detect other road users. The Digital Light technology also serves as an extended head-up display of sorts by projecting symbols on the pavement ahead to alert drivers to, say, slippery conditions or pedestrians in the road. And it can even project lines on the road in a construction zone or through tight curves to show the driver the correct path. Digital Light will be available on Mercedes-Maybach vehicles later this year, although like any technology it's bound to trickle down to less expensive vehicles. That is, if we ever get it here in the U.S. Audi, a leader in automotive lighting, has repeatedly run into snags trying to bring state-of-the-art car headlights to the U.S. The German luxury automaker's recently introduced matrix laser headlight system, which performs many of the same trick as Mercedes-Benz's Digital Light, also isn't legal on U.S. roads. And five years after the introduction of its matrix-beam LED lighting, which illuminates more of the road without blinding oncoming motorists with brights by simultaneously operating high and low beams, Audi still can't bring that technology to the U.S. either.

Recharge Wrap-up: Tesla firmware update videos, Mercedes S500 Plug-In Hybrid

    Tue, Sep 16 2014

See the Tesla Model S with Firmware 6.0 in action in new videos from Teslarati. The large software update includes improved traffic-based navigation, a calendar function, updated power management, "Location-Based Smart Air Suspension" as well as other improvements. Drivers get more route options to save energy, and more control over how the car saves energy. The car can also remember ride height settings when driving in those same locations again. Additionally, you can start and drive the car without a key, just using the smartphone app. See how it all works in the videos below, the second of which focuses on pairing with the updated phone app. The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has deemed ride-hailing app Uber's carpooling service illegal. The way the UberPool service is categorized by the CPUC, charging multiple riders separate fares for a single ride runs afoul of the law. The technical details are a bit convoluted, and what supporters could deem arbitrary, but Forbes delves into the details a bit further to try to make sense of California's intentions (even considering the possibility of other ride services, such as airport shuttle companies, fueling the fire). Lyft - which operates a similar service called LyftLine - and Sidecar have also received notices from the CPUC. Read more at Forbes. China's recent enthusiasm for electric vehicles could be largely attributed to a single person, Ma Kai. After the Politburo member was named vice premier, he encouraged maintaining and increasing EV subsidies when China sought to decrease them. He also seems ready to fight for more EV deregulation to encourage more clean vehicles. Read more about Ma Kai and what he's done for China's EV legislation at Automotive News. Mercedes-Benz begins deliveries of the S500 Plug-In Hybrid this month. The high-tech luxury PHEV features energy saving modes based on driver, route and traffic, and features a haptic accelerator that can signal when the driver should ease off to save power. It's powered by a biturbocharged V6 and 85-kW electric motor. Its 8.7-kWh battery offers about 20 miles of electric driving. The S500 plug-in starts at about $146,000. Artist imagines eerie world where cars have no wheels

    Thu, 24 Jan 2013

The wheel ranks right up there with the telescope and four-slice toaster in the pantheon of inventions that have moved humankind forward. But what if a circle in three dimensions had never occurred to anyone, and we all had just moved on without it? Perhaps we'd be driving around in Lucas Motors Landspeeders with anti-gravity engines. Or maybe we'd have the same cars we do today, just without wheels.
That's the thought experiment that seems to have led French photographer Renaud Marion to create his six-image series called Air Drive. The shots depict cars throughout many eras of motoring that look normal except for one thing: they have no wheels. The models used include a Jaguar XK120, Cadillac DeVille (shown above), Chevrolet El Camino and Camaro, and Mercedes-Benz SL and 300 roadsters.
Perhaps one day when our future becomes our past, you'll be able to walk the street and see with your own eyes the rust and patina of age on our nation's fleet of floating cars. Until then, Monsieur Marion's photographs will have to do.
