I have a 2007 Mercedes Benz C230 AMG Sport. RWD V6- great gas mileage. Has K&N high flow air filters. Has AMG wheels, body ground effects, rear wing, AMG exhaust tips. I added Front Carbon fiber lower lip, Rear Carbon Fiber Diffuser, Clear marker lights, Window Tint and German plate mount and license plate. 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 rear on the Rims. Tires have about 9500 miles on them. ONE OF A KIND! Has 57,635 miles, service was complete at Local Mercedes Benz Dealership at 49,000 miles. I bought the car with 48000 miles in April of this year. Boston bombers were tracked using Mercedes mbrace [w/video]
Sun, 28 Apr 2013We now know Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the two brothers said to be behind the Boston Marathon bombings, planned to head for New York City to detonate more improvised explosive devices. As it turns out, that plan was foiled by the quick thinking of one Mercedes-Benz owner, diligent police work and the Mercedes-Benz mbrace system. When the brothers carjacked a 26-year-old Chinese entrepreneur identified only as "Danny," they didn't realize his Mercedes-Benz M-Class was equipped with the mbrace system, which can call for help in the event of an accident or track the vehicle in the event of a theft.
According to reports, the Tsarnaev brothers held Danny hostage for nearly 90 minutes while they drove around Boston forming a plan until they had to stop for fuel. When one of the brothers went inside to pay, the other put his gun down for a moment. Danny took the opportunity to unlatch his seat belt, open the door and run to another nearby gas station, where he told the owner to call the police.
When police arrived, they used the mbrace system to track the SUV after receiving Danny's permission, and it wasn't long before a shootout between police and the brothers ensued. When it was over, the eldest brother lay dead in the street. For more on the story, view the video report available below.

Petrolicious shows Mercedes 280SL as architecture in motion
Wed, Jun 17 2015While still an absolute beauty today, the design of the pagoda-roof W113 Mercedes-Benz SL was revolutionary when it debuted. Moving away from the soft curves of the previous SL models, the all-new generation brought an upright, angular shape that was as much architectural as automotive. In the latest video from Petrolicious, owner and architect Daniel Monti expounds on the inspiration that he gets from his 1969 280SL's fantastic styling. The roof is the most famous design feature of this generation of SL. Look at the top from the front or back, and you can see a gentle, downward arc that evokes the look of a pagoda. That one styling element is also a fabulous counterpoint to a vehicle that is largely more angular than curvaceous. Petrolicious wonderfully illustrates how some of the SL's form-follows-function design aesthetic can be found in the architect's work in this video's heaping helping of mid-century modern goodness.
