This is my 2003 Mercedes C240 4Matic AWD Wagon in excellent condition.

This is a versatile, great-condition Mercedes that is superb for year-round weather conditions and great for carrying people and cargo while still getting great 6-cylinder fuel economy.  This is a dependable, super-clean and excellent condition car that is ready for anything.

This C240 4Matic Wagon is the most versatile C-class made- the AWD plus the wagon make this a fun, sporty, go-anywhere vehicle.

This car was always garaged since new and was serviced regularly and on-time.

This Mercedes has the following equipment and options:

  • 2.6L V6 engine
  • automatic transmission with Sport and Winter modes
  • 4Matic AWD
  • power moonroof
  • dual power heated leather seats
  • ABS brakes/traction control
  • dual-zone automatic climate control with A/C
  • cruise control
  • power windows and locks with remote keyless entry

I also have the clean CARFAX report for the car as well as the original books and manuals.

The paint and body are in great condition.  The paint is in great shape and it appears to be all-original.  There have been no known accidents nor damage to the car.  There are no noted door dings, nor any major exterior faults.  This car looks beautiful in all respects.

The interior of this car is very well kept.  The upholstery and carpets are in good condition and look nice.  There are no rips or tears on the seats and this was a non-smoker's car.  This interior is very nicely kept for a 2003 vehicle and it looks great.

This car runs and drives beautifully.  There are no known mechanical problems.  This car drives exactly how it should- it is tight, stable and trouble-free.  The engine, transmission, AWD, suspension, brakes, etc are all working properly with no known problems.  There are no warning lights illuminated on the dash.  Everything it working just as it should and this car drives great.  I would not hesitate to drive this car cross-country or anywhere for that matter.

This is a reliable, dependable, clean and well-kept vehicle.  This car was just traded in on a new $55,000 Mercedes.  Keep in mind this is a 2003 vehicle and as such it is not brand new.  Please expect normal issues of wear and tear and small faults and flaws appropriate to the age of the car.  There is one small 2" area of bubbled paint on lower portion of the front passenger door and a few tiny stone nicks on the hood.  There have been no known accidents and no known paint work.

You can fly in to Cleveland (CLE) and drive this car home.  You can also have the car shipped- please call Angels Moving Autos at 530 245 0481 for a shipping quote.

This car is kept in my heated garage and it is not exposed to the elements.

Forza Horizon announces January Recaro Car Pack with LFA N"urburgring Edition

Wed, 26 Dec 2012

Another month, another car pack for Forza Horizon. This time it's the Recaro Car Pack featuring a motley gang of cars and trucks: the 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500, 1995 Ford Mustang Cobra R, 2012 Cadillac Escalade ESV, 2005 Mercedes-Benz SLR, 2012 Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition and 2012 Lotus Exige S.
It'll be up for download on Xbox Live on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 for 400 MS Points. As usual, if you have the Forza Horizon Season Pass you can get them all free, and Season Pass holders will also get a bonus car that's not pictured: the 2009 Pagani Zonda Cinque Roadster.
The Pagani is everything opposite to that Vandura, but while you might not ever win anything with the van, you can always use the back of it as a place to give out free hugs. Check out the video and press release below for more details.

Bosch builds an infotainment system that just might not suck

Tue, Jan 30 2018

As far as we've come with in-car infotainment and interfaces over the past decade or so, we still have a long way to go — as most current systems show. Whether it's high-end brands like Mercedes-Benz with its kludgy COMAND system, which we hope will be replaced with the MBUX platform revealed at CES, or more mainstream vehicles like Hondas (with their frustrating, knobless Display Audio interface), getting the kind of content and ease of use in the car that we're used to having on other connected devices is far too complex and sometimes costly. While Apple and Google have tried to ride to the rescue with CarPlay and Android Auto, respectively, they're limited solutions. No automaker or tech supplier has been able to deliver an easy, economical, flexible and non-distracting infotainment solution. But Bosch could be closing in on this elusive goal, given the digital cockpit concept demo I recently received at CES. Displayed in a Cadillac Escalade, the concept featured five interconnected color screens: one in the instrument cluster, two in the center console, and two more in the front-seat headrest for second-row passengers. The digital cockpit concept demo had cool features such as haptic-feedback touch-screen controls that created an edge-like feeling similar to a physical button, facial recognition to confirm driver credentials, and the intelligence to know the location of a phone in the car to lock it out to keep the driver from texting. The most significant aspect of the Bosch digital cockpit concept wasn't visible — but shows the company's vision for a future of seamless, convenient, cost-effective and safe in-car infotainment. It's powered by a single electronic control unit (ECU) that can simultaneously run multiple operating systems and also separates vehicle and infotainment controls for critical safety and cybersecurity reasons. Most modern cars can have as many as 100 separate ECUs, Philip Ventimiglia, product manager for Bosch Car Multimedia North America, explained at CES, and several just for infotainment functions. "The goal is to reduce that to about 10 so that we can save cost throughout the vehicle and enable new technologies," he added. "OEMs want to put more technology into cars, but it costs money," Ventimiglia said.

Comparison test: 2019 Acura RDX vs. compact luxury SUV competitors

Fri, Jun 1 2018

Truth be told, if we were to compare the all-new 2019 Acura RDX with those compact luxury crossover SUVs it would most likely be cross-shopped against, you'd be looking at a different list. Even Acura admits that Lexus and Infiniti are the most likely bogies, but with the 2019 RDX, Honda's luxury brand is attempting to attract those customers who think as much with their hearts as with their heads. And for the most part, those folks have been buying from German brands: the Audi Q5, BMW X3 and Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class. So, to show how the new RDX compares to them, Acura actually provided examples of each during the recent press drive along with a Volvo XC60. All were determined to have greater emotional appeal than the last RDX, and we would certainly agree. For, as much as the previous-generation RDX made sense on paper, it was really hard to get excited about it. And when you're paying extra for a luxury vehicle, shouldn't you get a little excited? Well, as luck would have it, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and I were on hand in Whistler, British Columbia, for the press launch. We didn't have an abundance of time in each RDX competitor, but in conjunction with our usual comparison chart, our impressions should provide a good first taste of how the new RDX compares. Performance and fuel economy Contributing Editor James Riswick: On paper at least, the RDX is gutsier than its comparably powered European rivals. It also weighs the same or less, which logically should mean it'll be the quickest in a straight line. During my brief drives, though, I'm not sure it really stood taller than the three Germans. It at least matches them for smoothness, which is something that can't be said about the Volvo. Fuel economy is lower than them all when you consider all but the Mercedes come standard with all-wheel drive. It's also worth noting that all the competitors are available with engine upgrades, and unless Acura's forthcoming resurrection of Type S models includes the RDX, it should stay that way. Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski: Line 'em all up in a drag race, and I have a feeling the Acura would squirt away to victory. A good bit of that, though, would be due to its 10-speed automatic transmission, which offers a huge spread of ratios and fires off extremely quick shifts. In the real world, I'd guess fuel economy will be similar across the board, so I'm willing to call that category a draw.
