2002 Mercedes C32 AMG – Original owner, Exceptional Condition with Factory Warranty

This C32 AMG is in exceptional condition, with 76,200 miles.  I am the original owner, and this car was ordered to my specifications (options include full xenon headlights, power sunshade, and 6 disc CD).  The car has been pampered since new.  The paint, interior and mechanical condition is immaculate.  The car has never been in an accident and has never been tracked.  This car has been fully maintained by my local authorized Mercedes dealer, and I can provide full service records.

This car is a blast to drive.  It is extremely quick, with an unimaginable amount of torque.  It is also highly reliable.  The car has always been garaged, both at home and work.

Best of all, this car has an extended warranty through 11/29/2014 or 117,000 miles (I will pay the $50 warranty transfer cost).  The warranty is a Chrysler warranty (Chrysler and Mercedes were one company when this car was new, and the AMG community quickly figured out that it was a much better value to buy the extended warranty from a Chrysler dealer than from the Mercedes dealer).

This car is in such amazing condition, that it is easier to list its flaws.  There is a surface scratch on the bottom of the glove box.  There is a very shallow door ding on the driver’s side rear c-pillar behind the rear door, that is so shallow that it is only visible when viewed upclose at an angle (and most people would think is part of the curve of the c-pillar).  There is some very minor oxidation on the wheels that can be removed by a good detailer.  There is some slight crazing in a 4 inch section of the bumper plastic under the driver’s side taillight that is barely visible.  There is some minor scuffing on the passenger seat outer bolster that can be easily repaired.  There are a handful of very minor stone-chips on the hood that could be fixed with touch-up paint.  That’s it….it is otherwise perfect.

This car is available for inspection, and should sell quickly.

Thank you for bidding.

How could a lifted Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG be more awesome? Add an axle

Fri, 01 Mar 2013

We are fully confident in saying that this will be the most amazing thing you see all day. First of all, it's a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen - in AMG spec, no less. And it's being shown off in high-definition video glory, blasting through the desert, jumping over sand dunes, and generally being awesome. But here's the kicker: It has six wheels. Three axles. And they're all driven. Holy $%!#.
Under the hood is AMG's usual 5.5-liter twin-turbocharged V8, and total output is rated at 536 horsepower and 560 pound-feet of torque. That's impressive and all, but do keep in mind that the G63 6x6 weighs in at 8,322 pounds or, you know, the weight of two E-Class sedans. Combine that with its 18 inches of ground clearance, 37-inch tires and five locking differentials and you've got a vehicle capable of, well, everything you've ever imagined or will ever imagine for the rest of your life.
But the goodness doesn't stop once you open the doors. Oh, no. This thing is fit for a king - or a sheik, more appropriately - with ultimately luxurious seating for four. The rear bench seat has been removed in favor of two bucket seats with a fixed console in the middle, and the rear seats have been moved back beyond the usual B pillar to allow for more legroom.

Mercedes rolls out the long red carpet for new Maybach S600 Pullman [w/video]

Tue, Mar 3 2015

Remember when the S-Class was the S-Class and that was it? The pinnacle of the Mercedes-Benz lineup, at least as far as sedans were concerned. But those days are long behind us. Now there's a coupe as well (bringing the former CL back into the fold), a convertible on its way, the uber-luxe Maybach limo and this: the new Pullman. The creme de la creme of the Silver Star range, His Excellency Field Marshall Dr. Mercedes-Maybach S600 Pullman Dada – as it's known in full, at least with the twelve-cylinder engine – is... well, it's enormous. It's bigger than the old Maybach 62 it essentially replaces and bigger even than an extended-wheelbase Rolls-Royce Phantom. And why would you need a vehicle so large? Well, you wouldn't. And neither would we. But there are some, shall we call them "unelected heads of state" who would accept no less. They're the customers who favored the original, and 50 years later, they're the ones who'll be snapping up the new one. (The little wavy flags on the front fenders are optional.)

Mercedes A45 AMG in downhill battle with slipstream skateboarder

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

We're told it takes "performance, control and expression" to pilot a longboard skateboard down a mountain road, and that those happen to be the same values embodied in the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG. That's how the two came to be combined in a black-and-white short film called Silver Slipstream.
There's no talking, no engine note and no color, just some music, a 'boarder and a car on a long cruise down the Franschhoek Pass in the Western Cape of South Africa." Despite that, it's actually a pretty entertaining video of the latest Mercedes-Benz hot hatch married with extreme sports. You can watch how it all goes down in the video below.
