Mercedes-AMG once again joins forces with Cigarette Racing

Any time there's a new loins-quaking Mercedes-AMG introduced, you need to keep your eye on the aquatic horizon around the time of the Miami International Boat Show for the Cigarette tie-in to come roaring into port. The SLS AMG had its 2,700-horsepower, 46-foot Rider, the C63 AMG Black Series got a 1,350-hp, 50-foot Marauder, the G63 AMG got a 1,750-hp, 43-foot Huntress, and the SLS AMG E-Cell got a matching wild yellow 2,200-hp, 38-foot electric concept boat. Now that we're in 2015 with another AMG and another boat show, we have another Cigarette. Mercedes hasn't dropped the goods on this one yet, but it will be twins with the AMG GT. After that, we're guessing it will have a can't-miss-it paint job, be in the 40-foot range, and have something like 2,000 hp. The show is February 12-16, we'll have all the info for you then. Sunday Drive: From a mid-engine 'Vette to a restomod RV

Automotive enthusiasts are a diverse bunch. As proof, we present last week's top posts on Autoblog, starting with some really good spy photos of the upcoming mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette. Will it be sold alongside a classic front-engine 'Vette? We have no idea, but we can't wait to find out. Up next is a pickup truck. Can't get much further from a supercar, right? At least both the Corvette and the 2019 Ram 1500 – which will debut a radical new design that appears to eschew the mini big-rig look of past Rams in favor of something more refined – are both American. Decidedly not American? The Mercedes-Benz G-Class SUV. The boxy off-road 'ute looks a heck of a lot like the old one, which is probably a good thing, but we know it'll be fancier and more luxurious than ever before. Check out the leaked images below. Also hailing from Germany, but sharing absolutely nothing else in common at all, is the Audi A4 Allroad. We've been driving this all-wheel-drive wagon for a while now, and we like it quite a bit. Brabus rockets the Mercedes S65 to 900 horsepower

Some people you just can't please. They take a look at a vehicle with 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque on tap – one of the most powerful cars money can buy – and say that's still not enough. Fortunately there are companies like Brabus that cater to just such individuals. The Mercedes tuner extraordinaire brought the Rocket 900 to the Geneva Motor Show this year. It's based on the S65 AMG – yeah, the one with the twin-turbo V12 – but takes it a step or ten further. For starters, Brabus has bored the engine out to 6.3 liters and hooked up new turbochargers, exhaust, intake and more – cranking output up to 887 hp and a mind-bending 1,106 lb-ft of torque. Of course it didn't stop there, revising everything from the limited slip differential and air suspension to aero kit and interior. The result? Try 0-62 in 3.7 seconds, a 217-mile-per-hour top speed and a price tag approaching $400,000.
