1988 Mercedes-benz 560sl Base Convertible 2-door 5.6l on 2040-cars

Year:1988 Mileage:176000
Location:

Strongsville, Ohio, United States

Strongsville, Ohio, United States

1988 560SL with 176k, in which I recently had a crash.  The passenger side fender is no good and there is minor damage down the passenger door / quarter.  The car is Smoke Silver with Medium Red interior and brown top (does have 2-tears).  Non-Smoking Vehicle.

There is some rust spots on both doors and quarters.  The hardtop also has rust but I have an additional hardtop which is in nice condition.  The car still runs / drives and all components work.  I am adding a partial list of items I have replaced in the last year:

Becker AutoSound Decode and Aux Jack upgrade.

Cap / Rotor / Wires / Belts / Filters.

Tie Rods / Idler Arm / Steering dampener.

Monovalve Repair Kit.

R134 Condenser / Compressor / Some Lines / Receiver-Dryer.

Vacuum Pod.

ProGrama Climate Control Unit.

ProGrama Cruise Control Amplifier.

Timing Chain / Gears Checked - Ok.

Bosal Catalytic Converter.

Bosal Muffler.

Original Pirelli spare.

New front tires. (I do have a new set of Adsit wheels and P4 tires with 4k miles which could be added for a cost).

Coolant Change (Factory Blue) with Upper / Lower Hoses.

The interior is in really nice condition with the only wear being on the driver seat bolsters.  The carpet is good except for the center console piece.  The trunk carpet is really nice also.

Dashboard is nice except for two cracks in the center defrost vents.  All gauges work.  The wood on the dash / climate control is clean but the lower console does have cracks and the hole drilled for the aux input.

I have the jack but no tool kit.  I have recently purchased a used passenger fender which will be included.  The wiper arms are excellent.  Car was never hit prior to this crash and only had minor touch up on the hood for stone chips.  I have included some images but more can be sent upon request.

The left-front lamp assembly, grille, bumper filler have been removed for inspection but are stored.  The windshield does have abrasion from road use and a crack on the driver front-lower corner.  There are misc maintenance items that are included:

Front Subframe Bushing Kit

Rear Subframe Bushing Kit (Left side installed)

Oil Filters (2)

Transmission Filter Kit

THE WHEELS / TIRES IN THE PICTURES ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE AUCTION PRICE.  THEY CAN BE PURCHASED FOR AN ADDITIONAL $500.00 WITH THE WINNING AUCTION.

$300.00 Deposit must be received within 72 hours of winning auction end.  Vehicle must be picked up in Cleveland, Ohio within 7-days of winning auction end.  Cash (preferred), U.S. Postal Service Money Order, or Cashier's Check accepted.  Title will be transferred when funds are cleared.  This vehicle runs / drives but has no warranty of any kind (As-Is purchase).

Thank You.

Mercedes-Benz introduces new heavy security M-Class Guard model

Tue, 19 Mar 2013

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new addition to the company's line of personal security vehicles. The M-Class Guard features bullet-proof side windows made with special laminated glazing and a polycarbonate inner layer to protect occupants from shards of glass. Mercedes says the M-Class Guard meets protection level VR4 according to the Bullet Resistant Vehicles 2009 standards, based on testing from the independent Ulm-based Ballistics Bureau, which means it can withstand .357 Magnum and .44 fire from multiple angles. It can also stand up to the DM51 hand grenade when equipped with optional floor armoring. Why skimp?
Buyers looking for protection from the world's literal slings and arrows can opt for the ML350 BlueTEC with its 258 horsepower 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine. With 457 pound-feet of torque, the oil-burner should have no trouble hustling the privileged class about. Of course, the ML500 offers a bit more punch courtesy of a 4.6-liter twin-turbo V8 with 408 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque. Prices start at 105,050 euros for the diesel and 118,650 euros for the V8. You can check out the full press release below for more information.

Win a car while supporting a charity this holiday season

Thu, Dec 9 2021

Autoblog may receive a share from purchases made via links on this page. Pricing and availability are subject to change. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze.  The leaves have fallen, there is a crispness to the air and there have already been multiple forecasts of snow, which can only mean one thing: We're coming up on Christmas. While you've been busy thinking about what kind of gifts you're going to give your loved ones, we here at Autoblog have been deciding which dream car we'd like to see in our driveway on Christmas morning. A car for Christmas does seem a bit extreme and expensive, but thanks to these Omaze sweepstakes, it doesn't have to break the bank. Here are the current sweepstakes we'd like to win this holiday season. Win a DeLorean DMC-12 - Enter at Omaze James Riswick, West Coast Editor: Let me be clear, the DeLorean is a pretty terrible car. Its speedometer doesn't even go up to the fabled 88 mph. Seriously, look at the pictures: tops out at 85. Also, who services a DeLorean? And how much would it cost to maintain one? $AlloftheMoney or just $MostoftheMoney? So owning it could be a total headache, but at least by winning one through Omaze, you'd be relieved of the financial burden of buying one in the first place. You'd also get the chance to own one of the most iconic cars of all time, one that transcends car enthusiasm and is instantly recognizable by everyone as the "Back to the Future" car. Plus, "everyone" doesn't know that the DeLorean was actually a pretty terrible car. So, I already own James Bond's car from 1995, why not Doc Brown's from 1985? Win a 2021 Bentley Bentayga V8 - Enter at Omaze Eddie Sabatini, Production Manager: Why am I choosing a +$200K Bentley SUV? Because even if I could afford one I'd never be able to wrap my head around spending money on one. So why not try to win one by donating what I can afford to a good cause? I first saw the Bentley Bentayga up close and personal at the Frankfurt Motor Show (I forget which year but I'll never forget this SUV). And although it looks like the Bentayga Omaze is offering up doesn't have the opulent tailgate setup I fell in love with when I saw it in Frankfurt, I'd still enter to win. Win a 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL Pagoda - Enter at Omaze Byron Hurd, Editor: Few automotive marketing efforts stick out in my head more than the Mercedes-Benz holiday spots and magazine placements.
