This is likely one of the best w126 sedans in the country. I am the second owner. I bought it from
the original owner in West Palm Beach in Florida. It is a U.S spec car and will pass smog even in California. I can help re-import it into the U.S if anyone is interested. Car has 70k miles. Very well documented service history. Only genuine Mercedes parts used. Stacks of receipts available. Midnight blue exterior with palomino interior. Here is some of the recent service (within the last 5k miles). - New HVAC blower motor and monovalve - New tires (and rims were professionally refurbished) - New brake discs and pads all round - New sway bar links - New SLS high pressure lines and fluid flushed - New steering tie rods (inner and outer on both sides) - New rear windscreen imported from Germany (replaced due to de-lamination of defroster element) - New engine mounts - New timing chain, tensioner and guide rails - New valve stem oil seals and guides (basically the top end was redone, head gasket up everything was rebuilt) - New camshaft oiler tube clips - New idle control valve - New coolant hoses everywhere - New vacuum lines and check valves - New spark plug wires and cap - New plenum gaskets (pretty much anything made of rubber in the engine bay has been replaced) - New odometer gears - New hood insulation - New floor mats - And obviously all fluids have been flushed (power steering, transmission, SLS, etc...) I easily have about $20k all in and have receipts to prove it. The car was put in storage in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada a few month after the photos were taken. Its about an hour from Ogdensburg, NY. It was not a daily driver or anything like that. It was just my toy. I know people in the U.S like to say the "moisture" in Canada can cause a car to rust, so after much research I had it rust proofed with Corrosion Free 3000 when I imported it, which is apparently what the military use for their vehicles. So regardless, there is no rust, there never was and there never will be. For the folks who like to ask whether its ready to be driven across the country, the answer is definitely YES! The car has the following problems; 1. The driver's seat has a small slit in it. Nothing wrong with the frame, backrest or springs. Its easily repairable but good quality leather replacement covers are available from places like GAHH so I would just replace it. All the other seats look completely unused. 2. The transmission oil pan gasket leaks a few drops a week. I've replaced the gasket about 3 times now and it still drips. I can only assume that the pan is slightly warped. Genuine replacement is like $100. 3. The cruise control stalk is loose and doesn't work properly. I have a replacement unit yet to be installed. The car is stock. There are no "tasteful mods" (if you pardon the Euro lights, original NAM spec lights are included) I'm an honest person and a Mercedes enthusiast (was part of MBCA and I've built more than a few Mercedes engines). I'm just trying to sell my garage queen. I'll be happy to answer any questions over email or we can exchange phone numbers. The car is also listed on autotrader and kijiji. I've added 10 high res photos. If they don't show up, please email me and I'll send them to you. FYI the speaker covers have since been replaced (seen broken in the photos). |

Mercedes-Maybach SUV concept: Vision Ultimate Luxury interior teased
Wed, Apr 18 2018Mercedes-Maybach posted a teaser video of what it calls "the ultimate in luxury" last week, saying that the featured, yet-to-be-named vehicle would be presented in the Beijing Motor Show. Now there's a teaser sketch giving us a wider look of the concept's interior, as well as a name. The concept also has a name by now: the Vision Mercedes-Maybach Ultimate Luxury. We guess that might have been coming, even if the name isn't exactly concise. But, the accompanying release also informs us that the concept is a combination of a high-end sedan and an SUV, confirming that it is indeed the high-riding vehicle that's been rumored for a while. The interior sketch also shows a very wide center console with stylized grab handles, which suit the SUV dimensions and aesthetic, without being as trucklike as the Maybach G650 Landaulet's interior. As well as the lavish two-tone color scheme and the touch of wood on the door panel, the concept interior shows a wide color instrument display ahead of the driver. The gear selectors are paddle shifters next to the chunky steering wheel rim, and the controls seem to have been grouped on the wheel's spokes, leaving just a few switches on the dashboard. Autocar reports that the concept will be followed by a 2019 production version, slated to debut at the Los Angeles show at the end of this year. It would be based on the Mercedes-Benz GLS, but with a more bespoke design inside out, as hinted by the concept. Basing it on the GLS would mean Mercedes would be manufacturing it at the Tuscaloosa plant in Alabama, making it the first Maybach built in the U.S. Related Video: Image Credit: Mercedes-Maybach Beijing Motor Show Maybach Mercedes-Benz SUV Concept Cars Luxury mercedes-maybach
Sunday Drive: Volvo hits a crossover home run, and people still love sports cars
Sun, Sep 24 2017Looking back at the week that just was clearly tells us at least three things. First, crossovers don't have to be boring. Second, people still love sports cars, from the attainable (Audi TT RS) to the fanciful (Mercedes-AMG GT C). And finally, the traditional German trio of premium luxury brands had better not rest on their laurels, because credible challengers are coming in from every direction. The biggest reveal of the week, at least judging by the interest of Autoblog readers, was the Volvo XC40. Not only is the little 'ute a looker, it introduces some innovative new buying/leasing schemes designed to appeal to an audience accustomed to trading in and trading up every couple of years. Think of Volvo's flat-fee lease as you would a smartphone contract, and you'll be on the right track. Genesis looks to have a hit on its hands in the form of the G70 sport sedan. We took a Korean-spec model for a spin and found a lot to like about the upstart contender. We can't wait to sample one here in the United States to see how it stacks up against the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series, and Mercedes-Benz C-Class. In other news, we're still really excited to see a production Ford Ranger Raptor. But if you just can't wait for the official reveal — it's OK, neither can we — take a look at the renderings in our post down below. As always, tune in to Autoblog next week for a front-row seat to all the happenings worth following in the automotive industry. Mercedes-AMG teases GT interior, announces fall 2014 debut
Tue, 15 Apr 2014Mercedes-Benz opted to tease the assembled media at its post-New York Auto Show party, showing off a pair of images of the exquisitely crafted interior of the highly anticipated successor of the SLS AMG - the V8-powered Mercedes-AMG GT.
Slated for a debut in the fall at either Paris or Los Angeles (we're betting Paris), you'll note straight away that there's something wrong with this car's name. Where's the "Benz?" Well, it's been ditched to, as Mercedes says, "make the dream of the authentic Mercedes-AMG sports car come true." Sorry Karl.
"The new Mercedes-AMG GT proves that we will be positioning AMG as a dynamic sports car brand even more strongly and aggressively than before," said Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG.
