If you are looking at this ad, I am sure you know all about the Porsche history of this car, in addition to the pre - AMG mainstream cars. Pictures speak louder than words.

As nice of a used car you could buy. 131k miles, dark gray/blue exterior with black interior. Full tune-up and recent upper wiring harness. Everything works as it should. In exceptional shape, only modifications are Eibach lowering springs on factory self leveling suspension. Since the pictures were taken, I have added a Kenwood IPod ready stereo (I have the original Becker). Also, brand new Kuhmo tires and alignment, with new tie-rods.

Car starts, shifts, accelerates and stops as you'd expect, no issues. I drive this car 110 miles per day, it is ultra-reliable.

Known issues:

1. Tachometer back-light sometimes does not turn on when I switch on the headlights, nothing a light (no pun intended) tap in the dashboard does not solve.

2. When stereo was installed, the lights for the HVAC unit suddenly don't work. It doesn't bug me anymore, but it am sure a bulb or wire was pulled loose as the lights worked perfectly before the stereo install.

3. Windshield washer fluid leaks, I tracked it to a small plastic mesh covered tube/line that runs from the reservoir to the headlight washers. If I keep the car, I will order the line and fix it.

4. There was an aftermarket stereo installed at some point in it's life, which generated some annoying issues: The passenger front dash speaker sounds blown once the volume is turned up beyond normal levels, particularly with high bass. There was some sort of metal or aluminum mounting bracket or sheet under the rear shelf that makes a vibrating noise when you go over some bumps in the road. Both are not significant enough for me to solve, but worth pointing out.

5. When I bought the car, I removed the Michelin Pilot Sports as they were very noisy, and replaced them with Kuhmo all-seasons. I had the car aligned and also has some tie rod ends replaced. The Kuhmos are great, but I think they could use a road force balance as there is some level of vibration, that smooths out once tires are warm and car has been driven.

6. Some light scuffing on the front spoiler from day to day use. I have touched some of it up, but want to be upfront.

It's my daily driver. Serious inquiries only. Rare and appreciating car.

Clean CarFax, clear title, zero rust anywhere on car (including undercarriage). Car was in Miami before I bought it and shipped it to CT.

Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles

The Isdera Imperator 108i is a remarkably rare supercar from the late 80s and early 90s. Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. The example shown here, lapping the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, features the most potent 6.0-liter V8 available. And rather than just being driven about on a perfectly clean racing line, it's freaking power sliding!
Yes, there's something eternally childlike about a wedge-shaped supercar from our formative years being flung about a Belgian racetrack. Adding to the appeal is the Imperator's stumpy, periscopic rear mirror, sticking out of the roof. Even after being out of production for 20 years, this is still a wild, wild car and we'd happily snap up the opportunity pilot one of the 36 Isderas that were built. VW, Fiat, Mercedes could be CNG winners in Europe

Fiat ads in the US try to play up the exotic, sexy side of Italian culture. On the home front in Italy, however, passenger-vehicle sales are marked by something less edgy and quite a bit more practical: the growth of compressed-natural-gas (CNG) powered car sales. In fact, Italy is leading a group of European countries where CNG sales are on the upswing and may be benefiting automakers like VW, Fiat and Mercedes-Benz, according to Automotive News. VW started sales of its Golf TGI natural-gas vehicle this year – the company's fourth in Europe Â– while Mercedes-Benz added a natural-gas B-class model. Fiat accounts for about 50 percent of CNG vehicles sold on the continent. In all, Europe's CNG sales through September totaled about 67,000, up seven percent from a year earlier, Automotive News Europe says, citing research firm JATO Dynamics. And the number of CNG vehicles on Europe's roads could jump tenfold within the next decade. The draw is a combination of lower refueling prices and a CNG drivetrain that typically emits less CO2 than diesel vehicles. As for Italy, about five percent of new-vehicle sales are CNG. To put that into perspective, hybrids, battery-electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids and diesels combined to account for about 4.2 percent of US vehicle sales last year. Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is the luxury car for the discerning dictator

For decades, Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-Maybach cars have been the ride of choice for leaders across the globe, presidents, ambassadors, dictators and despots alike. The Pullman model — a long-wheelbase six-seat variant Â— has been particularly popular with this select clientele. This week, the German automaker announced the latest version of the car, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman S650. Essentially, this is a stretched version of the V12-powered Maybach with two rear-facing seats just behind the front row. Mercedes is calling this vis-a-vis seating. There's also a partitioning glass between the front seats and the rear cabin. This is of course to help prevent the chauffeur from learning and spilling any state secrets or plans for plans for secret moon bases. New for this model is a front-facing camera for rear-seat passengers. This allows occupants to watch for any oncoming obstacles, barricades or road blocks. Visually, there's no mistaking the Pullman for another Maybach or really anything else on the road. The car is 21.3-feet long, 4.5-feet longer than the standard Maybach or roughly the size of two and a half Smart Fortwo placed bumper-to-bumper. The requisite 20-inch 10-hole wheels are present and the standard pinstripe Maybach grille has been updated with a slightly new design. The car only comes in S650 trim, meaning it's powered by a 630 horsepower 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12. As expected, the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman isn't cheap. Orders have started, but be prepared to shell out at least $615,000 before adding any custom touches.
