1990 Mercedes 560SEC Coupe, 5.6L V8, Chrome Wheels, Michelin Tires, Premium Sound, Heated Seats
![]()
Lifelong, 1 Lady Owned, Fully Serviced, California MB Coupe!
Here is a beautiful
1990 Mercedes-Benz 560 SEC Coupe. This car is very
special in several ways. It is a One Owner car which
has lived a very pampered life. This car is a very low
production vehicle for the US
market in 1990. It also had a MSRP of over $83,000
when new and is fully loaded! This was THE big boy car
to own in the early 90's.
This car was delivered brand new at Caliber Motors in Anaheim Hills , CA on 5-30-1992 to original owner Karen Kirk. She owned it was handed off to us recently. She took
extensive care of the car and always garaged it. The
car lived its entire life in the Newport area and has never
seen bad weather. This
car was her pride and joy and always received the best
care and service. Don't miss your
chance to own the nicest SEC offered on eBay in a long
time!
The following is a list of options as this 560 SEC is
currently equipped:
-5.6L
245hp V8 Engine
-4
Speed Automatic Transmission
-Ice Cold A/C
-Limited Slip
Rear End
-Cruise Control
-Power Windows
-Power Door Locks
-Power Antenna
-Heated Seats
(VERY RARE)
-Dual Note Horn
-Fog Lamps
-Automatic
Climate Control
-Auto Leveling
Rear Suspension
-Original Leather Interior
-Power Sunroof
-Power Seatbelt
Arms
-Becker
Premium Sound -Upgraded Chrome
MB Wheels
-Brand New
Michelin Radials
The body on the car is in very good condition and was extremely well
maintained. The paint on the car is finished in its original color of Smoke Silver and is in very good condition. Paint on the car is believed to be all
original and I cant see any obvious paint work. The car has been
completely inspected underneath from front to back and is solid as a
rock as any well cared for garaged car should be. All chrome trim, glass, and rubber seals are in great
shape. The car looks almost as nice as the day it rolled off the
Mercedes lot. It just had a full detail done at a cost of over $500 so
this car looks spectacular!
The interior is in very nice original condition all around. The dash and
door panels are in very nice condition with zero cracks or damage to be
noted anywhere. The creme beige leather seats are all in very good condition
and look almost new, which shows the quality of leather used in this car.
All
wood grain is in excellent condition with absolutely no cracks other than a few around the shifter. The carpets are all very nice are
not worn or damaged. The car also still has the original Mercedes floor
mats. All dials and controls function as they should, power windows and
antenna also are fully functional. The sound system is also very nice
with the original Premium Becker sound system.
All lights, gauges switches, and
accessories work as they should. The trunk compartment is very clean and
does have the original jack, tools, and the original spare tire and wheel.
This car is all there and in excellent shape with all functions and
accessories working as they should.
Mechanically, this SEC runs GREAT! I have owned nearly 20 80's and 90's
era Mercedes vehicles, and this car blows the doors off all of them! This car has had OVER $30K in documented service! New: complete ac system, front and rear suspension components, power steering pump, belts, valve cover gaskets, battery, rebuilt radio, water pump, motor and transmission mounts have kept this car in top shape. The car had its costly, full 60k mile service recently ($4500 at Fletcher Jones MB Newport) and had the oil meticulously changed every 1500 miles and brake pads done every 10k religiously. The
car starts right up and shifts smooth as silk. It drives as good now as
the day it rolled of the lot. The V8 engine is very quick and
responsive. It is reliable, easy to fix, and parts are readily
available. The 5.6L V8 has been Mercedes workhorse engine for nearly 30
years, so you know it is just plain reliable. The suspension is very
tight and feels solid even at autobahn speeds above 90mph, and is
claimed to have a top speed of 140 MPH! The car was always regularly
serviced every 4,000 miles and shows it in how flawless the car drives.
The car just recently had a $1000 tune up including new plugs and wires
as well as new belts, hoses and other routine maintenance procedures. The car is
tight and right as any low mileage car should be with no leaks or
current mechanical issues.
The car will include 2 keys, tools, spare tire, and owners manual
w/ service receipts.
All in all, this is THE cleanest and nicest SEC that I have had
the privilege of being associated with. It has been professionally
maintained and truly loved by its previous owner. This Mercedes is a
fantastic car for the price and includes every option offered in this
car. The car has a super clean Autocheck report, as well as
Carfax. The car also has a clean California Title.

It's no surprise that a car reviewer will drive a large number of cars over the course of a year. Indeed, when the clock strikes midnight on Dec 31, I will have driven 75 new cars, trucks and SUV this year (and one old Peugeot) over the course of weekly evaluation loans and first drive events. That sure seems like a lot. Some definitely got more attention than others, and some came and went without leaving much of an impression – I completely forgot I drove a Kia Forte. Yet in the spirit of this day, I thought I'd pick the 10 that I would love to see under the Christmas tree tomorrow morning. You know, just in case you were looking to get me something. I'll also throw in a couple disappointments that were memorable for the wrong reasons. They'd get sent back to the store on Boxing Day. Lexus LC 500 Pictured below and resplendent in its Flare Yellow metallic paint, the car that would reach highest on my list is the divine Lexus LC 500. As a devout lover of GT cars, the LC ticks all the boxes. Muscular and characterful engine? V8, check. Beautifully made and memorable interior? It's gorgeous, to hell with Remote Touch. Check. Comfortable and reasonably practical? Superb seats and, uh, yeah. Makes me want to stand there and stare at it? You bet. Though I long figured my heart would say LC but my head "Porsche 911," after this go-around, that's no longer the case. LC, pretty please. 2020-lexus-lc500-f34-2 View 19 Photos Polestar 1 I actually feel lucky that I got to drive the Polestar 1. Only 150 will be produced each year, and it's a far more special thing than it would initially appear. And that's despite initially appearing to be a beautiful, classic two-door GT car with a roof so rakish it's only possible because it's made of carbon fiber. That itÂ’s a massively powerful plug-in hybrid with more all-electric range than any other PHEV is a thick dollop of whipped cream on a slice of Toscakaka. You know, Swedish dessert, Swedish car. Fine, I'll stick to Ikea references. Polestar1_Launch_SanFrancisco-0014 View 44 Photos Volvo V60 Cross Country Speaking of Sweden, did I drive this car off the road there? Sure did! And despite this, the V60 Cross Country scratches that certain wagon itch and looks sensational to boot. I wish it were available with the T8 plug-in hybrid powertrain, but it's best not to get greedy at Christmas.

As leaders for the United Auto Workers gather in Detroit for their Special Convention on Collective Bargaining to work out the negotiating stance for this year's new labor agreements with the Detroit 3 automakers, what they most want to do is figure out how to eliminate the two-tier wage scale. However, the lower Tier 2 wage has allowed the domestic automakers to reduce their labor costs, hire more workers, and compete better with their import competition. As it stands, per-hour labor rates including benefits are $58 at General Motors, $57 at Ford, and $48 at Fiat-Chrysler – a reflection of FCA's much greater number of Tier 2 workers. The Center for Automotive Research released a study of labor rates (including benefits) that put numbers to what the imports pay: Mercedes-Benz pays the most, at an average of $65 per hour, Volkswagen pays the least, at $38 per hour, and BMW is just a hair above that at $39 per hour. Among the Detroit competitors, Honda workers earn an average of $49 per hour, at Toyota it's $48 per hour, Nissan is $42 per hour, and Hyundai-Kia pays $41 per hour. The lower import wages are aided by their greater use of temporary workers compared to the domestics. Automotive News says the ten-dollar gap between those foreign camakers and the domestics turns out to about an extra $250 per car in labor, which adds up quickly when you're pumping out many millions of cars. That $250-per-car number is one that, come negotiating time, the Detroit 3 will want to reduce, as the UAW is trying to raise both Tier 1 and Tier 2 wages. Another wrinkle is that the domestic carmakers are considering the wide adoption of a third wage level lower than Tier 2. Some workers who do minor tasks like assembling parts trays kits and battery packs already make less than Tier 2, but the UAW will be quite wary about cementing yet another wage scale at the bottom of the system while it's trying to fight a bigger battle at the top. BRUSSELS — The European Union's competition authority said on Wednesday it had approved the plan of German luxury carmakers Daimler and BMW to combine their car-sharing businesses, subject to conditions. Under the deal, which includes car-sharing units Car2Go and DriveNow as well as ride-hailing, parking and charging services, Daimler and BMW will each hold 50 percent stakes in a joint venture. They have offered concessions to address E.U. antitrust concerns over the deal they hope would let them better compete with U.S. rival Uber and China's Didi Chuxing. The European Commission has found the deal would raise competition concerns for free-floating car sharing services in Berlin, Cologne, Duesseldorf, Hamburg, Munich and Vienna. It said Daimler and BMW agreed to a remedy package in the six cities. "The commitments thus fully address the Commission's concerns as they will reduce the barriers to entry for competing free-floating car sharing providers," the Commission said in a statement. "Therefore the Commission concluded that the proposed transaction, as modified by the commitments, would no longer raise competition concerns. The Commission's decision is conditional upon full compliance with the commitments." Reporting by Gabriela Baczynska and Philip Blenkinsop. Related Video:
