Selling a 1986 560SEC W126 Coupe. This was the flagship vehicle of Mercedes-Benz in the 80's. This car is Gold with Red Leather with 112K on the clock. Low Miles for the year and the car starts up and runs nicely. Goes through the geats beautifully and brakes quick and correctly. The heat and cold seem to work well. The power seats, windows, mirror, sunroof and seat belts and telescoping steering wheel all work nicely. This car has ABS and an Airbag too, it's a really terrific package for very little money. The intterior is pretty good. There's a piece of trim that is missing on the glovebox but I will include the replacement part. wipers work - even the ones on the headlights!. Radio is not working but not sure why. Lights also work great.
Body - This undercarriage is great, all of the body is straight and well aligned. There are some rust spots. The worst is the fron passenger fender. I also bought the replacemeent part so this will come with the car. Glass is all nice with good rubber on the seals
Interior. Leather is pretty nice and the carpets are ok. LEtather stitching is broken in a few areas but actually pretty supple with no tears or excessive wear. The carpets have some fading but could be easily redyed with some RIT. Headliner is in place and not fallen. wood is ok except for the glove boz and the piece to the right of it. As noted above, I will include the replacement part for the golve box. Trunk is clean with carpeting.
Engine and running gear. - Runs and idles great. proper oil pressure and temp. Really solid. Battery seems strong. Transmission seems perfect. Car gets up too 100 with no issue and then stops nicely. No pulling, warped rotors etc.
This car is not perfect. It's nearly 30 years old and has some blemishes. For the price it's a perfect running project or a quick winter project. I described the car as best I could. Not a mechanic or car salesman. Trying to be honest as possible
Terms - 500 deposit through paypal 24 hours of close. The balance is due within one week. Not responsible for any issues found post purchase. Buyer responsible for shipping. car will be stored for 2 weeks unless arrangements are made prior. The car is listed locally and I reserve the right to end early.

Meet the Greenest and Meanest vehicles of 2016
Wed, Jan 27 2016If you've been keeping track, you won't be surprised with the number one entry in this year's list of greenest cars from the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE). In fact, the top three spots on the 2016 list are all the same as they were in 2015. After that, things get interesting. For one thing, this is the first Greenest list that doesn't have any purely internal combustion engine powertrain on it. Hybrids, yes, but if you want to be one of the top 12 greenest cars this year, you'd better have some sort of electric angle. ACEEE says that the conventional, gas-powered Smart Fortwo and Chevrolet Spark just missed the cut. In a statement, ACEEE lead vehicle analyst Shruti Vaidyanathan said, "The 2016 scores are in, and plug-in electric vehicles are outpacing all other vehicle offerings in terms of environmental friendliness." Like last year, one of the noticeable vehicles missing from the green list is the Tesla Model S. One reason? ACEEE takes curb weight into account (lighter is better), and the Model S is a heavy beast. The ACEEE doesn't just look at the clean side of the ledger. It also puts out a "meanest" list. These are the vehicles that pollute the most, not only from their tailpipes, but also any pollution created during the entire manufacturing process, from mining the raw materials to the energy used to produce the vehicle at the factory. The entire list, from greenest to meanest, is done using a "cradle to grave" analysis. You can see how the ACEEE determines its rankings here, explore the entire greenest cars site here, or click through our galleries to see which vehicles are extra green (above) or extra mean (below) this year. 12: Mercedes-Benz GL550 4MATIC View 12 Photos More Electric Cars than Ever on Greenest Vehicles List Electric Vehicles Nab 9 out of Top 12 Spots in ACEEE's Environmental Vehicle Rankings Washington, DC: Despite a tumultuous year for the automotive industry, manufacturers have continued to offer exciting technology options for a growing vehicle market. Today at greenercars.org, the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) released its 19th annual comprehensive environmental ratings for vehicles. The following vehicles comprise the Greenest List for 2016: Greenest Score 1. Mercedes-Benz Smart ForTwo Electric Drive Convertible / Coupe 63 2. Chevrolet Spark EV 63 3. Fiat 500E 62 4. Toyota Prius Eco 61 5. Volkswagen E-Golf 61 6. Nissan Leaf S / Leaf SV 61 7. Kia Soul Electric 59 8.

AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away
Mon, 16 Sep 2013After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.
