You are viewing a stunning example of this Rust free 1989 Mercedes 420 SEL. The color of the car is Anthracite Gray over parchment leather. The original paint is shiny and beautiful and looks like new. Only a few minor stone chips and light scratches that are not noticeable. The leather interior is in exceptional condition. It's soft and supple and looks like new showing no wear and tear. Also, the vanity mirrors are perfect and work properly. All of the lights inside are bright and even the original first aid kit is still new. The dash, wood, carpets, and headliner are all in pristine condition. Inside the car all the electronics work properly. The climate control works perfectly (i.e., ice cold ac and hot heater). The car has a built in k 40 radar detector that was very expensive back in the day. The original Becker radio, power antenna, sunroof and all the power windows work perfect including the cruise control. The engine runs smooth and is very powerful. This is probably one of the best 126 body cars I have ever bought and am selling. It drives like a new car. It's very tight, shifts perfectly, and has tons of power. The car has always been serviced. Inside the engine compartment, you will find the engine to be very clean with no leaks. It has a new hood pad that I just installed, along with new brakes, plugs, and wires. In addition, all of the fluids have been changed along with a brake flush. Transmission service also was just done with new filter and fluids. The tires are brand new Uniroyal with a 60K warranty. The original wheels are in immaculate condition with no clear peeling or damage. The full size spare is the original Michelin and is in excellent condition, as well. I search the country for the best cars that I can find. As a result, I take pride in what I do and detail these cars to the highest standard so my clients can have peace of mind that when they buy from me they are purchasing a great pre- owned car. Working for Mercedes Benz for many years instilled that in me. I am a perfectionist, and I love things to be perfect and as a result I consider this car to be very close to perfect. Low mileage 420 SEL's are not around that often, and I think this color combo is truly beautiful. Please bid with confidence and read my feedback as you will see I strive to make everyone happy with their purchase. I believe this car will make someone very happy and last a lifetime. Its only going to appreciate in value. So click the buy it now and own this amazing 420 SEL. Please call me at 954-464-3515 Steve

Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 teases gullwing doors in video
Tue, Aug 16 2016Because these are the times we live in, automakers tease their biggest and best debuts mercilessly before finally dropping the curtain. That's why we're writing about the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Concept again. Here's a new video, posted on Mercedes' Instagram page, showing even more of the hulking two-door coupe. For one, it looks like Mercedes is revisiting gullwing doors. There's a brief snippet of the doors in the open position with a red light – possibly a brake light – bisecting the roof. The video also gives us a couple of good looks at the taillights, which are super-model skinny, just like the lamps up front. Look close at the rear three-quarter cut, and you'll spot a strong chrome strip that accentuates and breaks up those beefy rear haunches. It's hard to tell where they fit in with the chrome strips on the front fenders and hood, so we'll probably need to wait until the big debut to see how it all works out. As we've said twice already, the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 debuts on August 18. Stay tuned. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA250 Sport
Wed, 06 Mar 2013Mercedes Makes A Mighty Little Sedan
We got overexcited when the W203 Mercedes-Benz C-Class sedan came out in 2001, calling it the "Baby Benz" when it really wasn't. We knew that, too, but our enthusiasm for a model more like the old 190 of the '80s was so strong that we were willing to stretch the first-gen C-Class to fit that mold. Today, the C-Class has done what all German premium cars do: grown in size. In this case, grown to satisfy the market intentions of the previous E-Class.
There was the tall A-Class sold from 1998 through 2010, but we never considered that a serious small Benz in the proper spirit, nor was it ever offered in the US. Regardless, we've been craving a smaller, premium, sexy sedan all the while.
Weekly Recap: Toyota propels hydrogen fuel cells
Sat, Jan 10 2015Toyota is serious about hydrogen fuel cells, and it wants the auto industry to follow suit. The Japanese automaker said this week it's releasing 5,680 fuel cell patents from around the world, including technologies used on its upcoming sedan, the 2016 Mirai. The move is unusual, but not unprecedented, as Tesla similarly released its electric vehicle patents last year. The idea for Tesla, and now for Toyota, is to spur development of alternative propulsion. "By eliminating traditional corporate boundaries, we can speed the development of new technologies and move into the future of mobility more quickly, effectively and economically," said Bob Carter, Toyota Motor Sales senior vice president of automotive operations, in a statement. Toyota's fuel cell patents will be free to use through 2020, though patents related to producing and selling hydrogen will remain open forever. Toyota said it would like companies that use its patents to share their own hydrogen patents, but won't require it. "What Toyota's doing is really a logical move, and really a good move for the industry," Devin Lindsay, principal powertrain analyst with IHS Automotive, told Autoblog. The announcement was made at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It comes as Toyota prepares to launch the hydrogen-powered Mirai in a limited number late this year in California. The launch will be extended to the Northeastern United States next year. Toyota also has announced plans to support networks of fueling stations in each region to try to smooth consumer adoption. The Mirai has a 300-mile range on a tank of hydrogen, and it takes about five minutes to refill. Fuel cells have been receiving increased attention recently, and Audi and Volkswagen debuted hydrogen-powered cars at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show. Honda, another proponent of the technology, also showed its updated FCV concept in November in Japan. The company, however, has delayed its fuel cell sedan a year until 2016. Like Toyota, Honda says its hydrogen-powered car will have a range of 300 miles or more. Meanwhile, Hyundai currently offers leases for fuel-cell powered Tucsons, which have a 265-mile range, in Southern California. Despite the optimism some automakers have for fuel cells, the technology still faces barriers. A lack of filling stations has long held it back, and many consumers are not familiar with the potential benefits.
