If properly maintained, this car will go another 177,000 miles. In 2 years I have put less than 6,000 miles on the car.
I have done 3 road trips from Las Vegas, Nevada to Orange County, California with out one issue.
This is a California car = NO RUST. Has been garage kept since it came over to the USA from Germany. Clean Title.
Smoke and Pet free car. I am the 3rd owner. Original owner had the car 30 years, sold it to his Mercedes mechanic who had it less than a year. He had the car re-painted and preformed a full maintenance on it. I purchased it 2 years ago (October 2011) from him in Hollywood, California. The only maintenance I have done has been 2 oil changes. It runs great and hasn't had one issue since I have owned it.
? Why am I selling ? It has been a 3rd car (Sunday driver if that, which barley gets driven) for us and we are just trying to simplify.
Plus I need the garage space back! :)
If you are a Mercedes lover, you will love this car. For being 33 years old, it's in really good shape!
*If you are looking for the "Perfect BENZ," you're looking at around $30,000 - for a fully restored to original. This car is not that, but for $5K your are getting an AMAZING VEHICLE, considering the age.
Please email me if you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them for you.

Mercedes celebrates with World Championship edition SL63
Mon, Dec 1 2014Mercedes has plenty to be celebrating at the moment, having just won the Formula One World Championship in spectacular style – taking the constructors' title by a huge margin and the top two slots in the drivers' standings as well. It almost goes without saying that the German outfit would celebrate with a special edition, and that's just what we're looking at here. Presented at a special celebratory Stars & Cars event in Stuttgart in front of 50,000 jubilant fans, the Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG World Championship 2014 Collector's Edition is based on Benz's twin-turbo V8-powered roadster but with some choice upgrades. Two versions will be offered: one in black with gold accents (displayed with the Silverstone circuit layout), the other in white with silver accents (and the Hockenheim map). One was designed by Lewis Hamilton, the other by Nico Rosberg. We'll let you sort out which one was done by which, but either way there'll only be 19 examples, each dedicated to a different grand prix circuit in the championship which Mercedes positively dominated – winning all but three, scoring eleven one-two finishes and landing on the podium at each and every one.
Mercedes releases 6x6 G63 AMG specs and pics [w/video]
Fri, 15 Mar 2013Mercedes-Benz has finally dropped full details on its insane G63 AMG 6x6. The machine puts 544 horsepower to all six wheels thanks to a twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V8. A seven-speed gearbox shuttles power to the ground via three sets of portal axles, which helps give this machine a full 15.75 inches of ground clearance. By comparison, the standard G63 AMG sits with just 8.27 inches of ground clearance. The extra lift allows this 6x6 to ford nearly 40 inches of water and run massive 37-inch tires. All told, there are five differential locks on this thing, all controlled by a special "locking logic" that provides the best traction possible for any given situation.
The controls offer up three stages of locking, which we can only assume range from JKLOL to OMGWTF. Right now, AMG says this monstrosity is only a show vehicle, but we imagine it wouldn't take much to convince the team to whip up one of your very own. Check out our full gallery and the press release below for all the nitty gritty. While you're down there, you can also check out the video on the machine one more time.
