Here is your chance to own one of the best Mercedes 126 cars ever built . This one owner lady owned car from Texas and been pampered since she bought it brand new. It has only traveled 69887 miles since new. The color combination is stunning. Anthracite Grey metallic over soft grey leather . The paint is all original and in excellent condition. It shines like new . There is only one small touch up on the passenger front door where it had a ding from a parking lot cart. I had the dent removed and just touched up the nick. The leather interior is impeccable and looks like new, as well. No wear at all. The leather seats are super soft and supple. The carpets ,headliner, dash , door panels are all pristine as is the wood. No cracks in the wood at all.  Inside the car you will find everything still original . Original becker radio with working power antenna. All the climate control system works perfectly with Ice cold R12 AC and hot heat. The power sunroof and all the 4 windows work as they did when new. I bought the car from the Original owner. She was 89 years old and always babied this car. I have every service record from day one. The service book is stamped completely, and I have all the service from the dealer on repair orders showing everything that was done. She never missed a service or declined a service. This is one of those cars you find once in a lifetime. The Michelin tires are in excellent condition. Car has all new brakes, new tie rods, exhaust is like new, and the suspension is very tight and makes no noises. Inside the engine compartment, you will also see that it looks like new.  The valve cover, intake manifold are still shiny silver and not faded. All the gold lines are still bright as they were new. The engine is bone dry. It has no leaks and runs so smooth and quiet you can't even hear it run. The car drives as good as it did when new it's not even broken in yet. Oil was changed every 3000 miles. The transmission was also serviced with new fluid and filters and shifts flawless. I have bought many 126 cars in my life and offered them for sale. I never had a 126 Diesel as nice as this one and with this condition and beautiful color combo. These cars are collectible and it is super rare to get over 31 mpg, as well as an engine that was considered one of the best Mercedes Diesels ever made. I know the market on this car. As a result, I can say you will never ever find one like it. With the low miles, beautiful original paint and immaculate interior it's as close to being able to walk into a Mercedes Dealer today and buying an amazing 80's era 126 diesel. I have the books and all 6 keys, every service from day one and to the current date and mileage. The car also has a full size spare tire and tool kit, as well. The Title is still in the original owners name. Please look at the auto check as it's perfect in every as shown by its very high score. I am including a brand new set of original Mercedes floor mats in the car so the new owner will be the first to step on them. Bid with confidence and click the buy it now. This car is rare and will never come around again for sale.

** This car has a very rare Power rear seat option, which you will find on all 560 SELS, so to have it on a 300 SDl is very rare!

Lamborghini Countach, Ferrari 512M and more immortalized as Lego sets

Tue, Feb 1 2022

Lego has announced a slew of new Speed Champions sets, the ones based on actual licensed cars, for 2022. The latest batch includes a smorgasbord of supercars, from beloved classics like the Lamborghini Countach to yet-to-be-released promises like the long-awaited Mercedes-AMG One. There are seven cars in total, released in five sets.  Our favorite is probably the 262-piece Lamborghini Countach, based on a later LP500 variant. Not only does it tick the box of a childhood dream machine, but the angular shape of the real-life Countach lends itself well to being recreated in Lego bricks. Also, it's modeled in white rather than the typical red. Lego Speed Champions Ferrari 512M 1 View 6 Photos We also really dig the Ferrari 512M. It marked the last of Ferrari's V12 endurance racers, and even though it was soundly spanked by the Porsche 917, the cars are undeniably beautiful. The 291-piece Lego set does a great job of capturing its brutal wedge silhouette in brick form. Lego Speed Champions Lotus Evija 1 View 5 Photos Rounding out the single-car sets is the 247-piece Lotus Evija. The electric Lotus has a bit of a generic supercar look about it, but that's not entirely the fault of the Lego kit. Its dramatic vents can't really be replicated with the limited "resolution" of the Lego bricks. Its rear, with unique taillight-encircled air tunnels, is a bit more distinctive. Lego Speed Champions Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR & Vantage GT3 1 View 7 Photos In addition to the single car sets, there are two larger sets of two cars each. One is a 592-piece Aston Martin-themed pack that includes the Valkyrie AMR Pro and Vantage GT3. Again, it's a bit difficult to sculpt the cars' curvaceous lines out of straight-edged bricks, but the effort is admirable. The Valkyrie is probably the more successful of the two, as the Vantage would resemble a Corvette or Viper if it didn't have stickers to clarify the details. Lego Speed Champions Mercedes-AMG F1 W12 E Performance & Project One 01 View 9 Photos Last but not least is a twofer comprised of 564 bricks to build the Mercedes-AMG One and seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton's W12 racer. In Lego's official product description the driver is not mentioned by name, but the number 44 gives it away. The model of the One indeed looks like a sharp supercar, but the blocky pieces don't exactly replicate the lines we've seen on camouflaged test mules.

New Mercedes E-Class nearly exposed, may be Maybach

Mon, Sep 14 2015

The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class is marching closer and closer to production, with a new round of spy photos giving us our best look yet at the S-Class-inspired looks of the German brand's executive luxury car. There really is very little camouflage this time around – what's there looks more like the kind of plastic wrapping you'd see on a freshly imported vehicle at the port. In front, we can see the new E will wear similar LED accents to the S- and C-Class. The E-Class' big and little brothers also inspired the tail of the new model, where we can see slightly disguised, vertically oriented LED taillights. Prominent, enclosed exhausts are very similar to what we saw in our spy shots of the Mercedes-Maybach E-Class. Aside from the exhausts, this particular car also wears the same blingy wheels as the range-topping tester we spied last August. The thick-rimmed, multi-spoke design isn't the only giveaway to this car's luxurious intentions, though. Our last Maybach sighting showed a car completely covered in camo, making it difficult to tell just how large the rear doors are relative to the car we're seeing today. Instead of the doors, though, we suggest you look at the windows. Like the August spy photos, this prototype features tinted rear glass, which could perhaps indicate that we're looking at yet another example the second Mercedes-Maybach model. So is this yet another Maybach E-Class? We're leaning towards yes. The size of the back doors – and the rear quarter window, in particular – is close enough to what we saw last month, and the presence of tinted glass, the same exhausts, and the same wheels can't be discounted either.

2016 German Grand Prix race recap: so-so racing, great questions

Mon, Aug 1 2016

We can summarize the 2016 German Grand Prix in one sentence: Mercedes-AMG Petronas driver Lewis Hamilton started second on the grid, passed pole-sitter and teammate Nico Rosberg before the first corner, and dominate to the finish. In fact, Hamilton turned his engine power output down on Lap 3 and still took the checkered flag seven seconds ahead of Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo. Ricciardo's teammate Max Verstappen crossed the line another six seconds back. Rosberg fell to fourth at the first corner and couldn't find the pace to reel in the Red Bulls. His questionable pass on Verstappen didn't help when the stewards penalized Rosberg five seconds; the overtake reminded us of Rosberg's move on teammate Hamilton in Austria. That penalty turned into eight seconds when the Mercedes-AMG Petronas stopwatch didn't work in the pits. Ferrari pilots Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen finished fifth and sixth. Those six drivers all started in the top six, too. Behind them, on Lap 28 of the 67-lap race the next four drivers were Valtteri Bottas in the Williams, Nico Hulkenberg in the Force India, and Jenson Button and Fernando Alonso in McLarens. Low fuel and old tires put the kibosh on Alonso's pace just four laps from the finish, allowing Force India's Sergio Perez to pass, rounding out the top ten. The issues up for debate during the four-week break are far more interesting than the weekend's race. As bad as Ferrari's day might have been – and we'll get to that – Rosberg probably took the biggest hit, losing the race before the first corner for the second weekend in a row and falling 19 points behind Hamilton. Rosberg won the first four races of the season, then the teammates tripped over one another in Spain. Hamilton's won six of the seven races since Spain, Rosberg's best result in that time is a second-place in Hungary. Hamilton turned his engine down on Lap 3 (!) because he's used his entire season's allotment of five turbochargers and five MGU-Ks. Those early-season gremlins now have him on edge of grid penalties. Unless Hamilton's momentum cools off in August, however, that reliability danger might be the only dent in his armor. Rosberg, who once led the Championship by 43 points, will surely drown in his thoughts – and maybe schnapps – over the summer break. Whatever the Italian word for "meditation" is, there'll be a lot of it at Ferrari during the F1 summer break.
