this is an 1984 Mercedes in Great condition is Grey with Blue Leather Seats it is in super shape runs Great comes with Snow Tires on Separate rims and has summer tires and rims. We had front end work done on at the dealer so it drives nice. And had electrical work done in it. the Odometer stopped working after we got it never did get that fixed has a high end sound system installed and has a removal face plate, for some reason we are not able to get the radio to work or the attenna to go up but all the windows work drives great and door locks work we paid $5000 for it and have put $2000 plus into it with repair work and tires this is a great Collectors car it is one of the last big ones that they made minor scratches no major dents or dings Drivers seat has minor wear. we live in an area with snow so we now have a 4X4 which is better suited to our area. I did not have any issues with Driving this in winter did really good and has new studded snow tires for it BLUE BOOK FOR THIS IS $5000.00 Please ask any questions you may have before bidding |

Rare Isdera Imperator 108i flexes its considerable muscles
Mon, 05 Aug 2013The Isdera Imperator 108i is a remarkably rare supercar from the late 80s and early 90s. Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. The example shown here, lapping the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, features the most potent 6.0-liter V8 available. And rather than just being driven about on a perfectly clean racing line, it's freaking power sliding!
Yes, there's something eternally childlike about a wedge-shaped supercar from our formative years being flung about a Belgian racetrack. Adding to the appeal is the Imperator's stumpy, periscopic rear mirror, sticking out of the roof. Even after being out of production for 20 years, this is still a wild, wild car and we'd happily snap up the opportunity pilot one of the 36 Isderas that were built. Sat, 19 Jan 2013How much extra value does previous celebrity ownership add to of a car? Really, there's no way to know until the car in question hits the auction block and bidders start raising their hands. In the case of the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing you see above, the celebrity owner is none other than Clark Gable, who purchased it new. After Gable's death in 1960, the car changed hands a few times before settling with Charles Wood in 1975.
A high-dollar restoration was performed in 1989, and period accessories added by Gable himself were kept in place, including the Rudge knock-off wheels and Nardi steering wheel. Any Mercedes-Benz 300SL is worth a big chunk of money. In the case of Clark Gable's old Gullwing, the bidding stalled at $1.9 million here at the 2013 Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale. As one of the 5000-series cars, this 300SL carried a reserve, and a bit of after-the-fact dealmaking saw the car change hands for $1.85 million.

Maybach and Aston Martin alliance talks fall apart
Tue, 27 Sep 2011If you have, like us, been salivating at the notion of a new generation of Maybach and Lagonda ultra-luxury crafts built by Aston Martin, we've got some bad news: According to reports emanating from Germany, talks between AML and Daimler have broken down.
The proposal under negotiation would have seen Daimler outsourcing production of the next family of Maybach models to Aston Martin, which in return would benefit from Mercedes-Benz platforms and engines - not only for its svelte GTs, but also for its own future Lagonda line of limousines and luxury SUVs. That, and a boatload of money - or at least that's what AML was reportedly seeking, an issue that served as the stumbling block over which the deal reportedly collapsed.
That's not to say the two parties couldn't still reach some sort of a compromise, but short of that, Daimler may opt to either shut down Maybach altogether, find another partner, or take another stab at building new models internally.
