I have a lovely 1982 MERCEDES-BENZ 300 CD TURBO DIESEL to sell (VEGGIE READY!). Originally purchased as my daily driver, it quickly just became our car to just take on little trips around town. It's a great car and fun to drive, but we have another car and don't need the extra insurance costs. Brown exterior, tan leatherette interior. LOW miles (150,000), no body damage, NO accidents. Very clean car. This is the Mercedes that everyone wants. The engine lasts forever!! Your chance to own a lovely little classic. These cars have gone for over $20,000 at auction... We have put close to $5000 in the car updating various things. She is almost perfect.
Here is a link to information about this model of car (this is NOT info on my car up for sale...)

Clean title and regularly maintained by our German Auto specialist, this car is close to perfect. The very desirable 2-door coupe style is hard to find, especially in such nice condition. We have updated almost everything, internally, over the last few years. The engine runs perfectly and only has 150,000 miles. The engine in this car is not the original, it is new to the car. But it has 10,000 less than odometer reads. We have replaced almost everything else inside of the car (with the exception of the rear automatic windows). The cd player/radio/bluetooth audio/speakers are new but we still have the original one if you want that too.
Power windows and sunroof still work, but the back windows are very slow and we don't use them. Our mechanic said that these back windows are usually an issue on most of these cars, but we never really needed to use them so we never noticed. Loved having the sun/moonroof though, especially on warm CA nights. A/C works, but it does not blow super cold like air conditioners in modern cars.
I would say the only 'negatives' this car has are cosmetic issues, mainly to the interior. Car is in VERY nice condition, but the leather seats have cracked over the years in places due to sun damage (see photos). And it could definitely benefit from a good interior cleaning. There are also a couple of very tiny paint chips (no rust) on the exterior of the car (see photos). VERY small chips but you do notice that the car appears to have originally been a light blue color. We have all of the receipts for work we had done by German Prestige Auto and can put you in contact with our mechanic who can tell you more about the work done.
I have attached as many photos as I was allowed but have some others if interested. Please email and I will respond as soon as I can.

Watch Evo pick its 2015 Car of the Year in this epic video
Mon, Dec 7 2015With just a few days left in 2015, it's the perfect time to check out Evo's annual Car of the Year test to determine the greatest performance vehicle of the last 12 months. The writers' picks for the 11 finalists spanned a breadth of engaging models and included: Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Seat Leon Cupra Sub8, McLaren 675LT, Porsche 991 GT3 RS, Porsche Cayman GT4, Honda Civic Type R, Ferrari 488 GTB, Chevrolet Camaro Z/28, Lotus Evora 400, and Mercedes-AMG GT S. For the venue to test the mettle of these performance machines, Evo stuck close to home this year and visited the twisting roads at the beautiful north coast of Scotland. Racing brothers Marino and Dario Franchitti also came along for the ride to provide two more voices in the competitive challenge to determine a winner. Evo's video explains why each model deserves to be among such rarified company but doesn't gloss over their faults either. There can be only one winner, though. We don't want to spoil it, so check out the clip for magnificent views of these performance machines through the Scottish countryside.
Mercedes says it's tops in luxury sales for 2012, not BMW
Tue, 19 Feb 2013It turns out that Mercedes-Benz North America has legitimate claim to being the top selling luxury nameplate in the US in 2012.
While sources such as Autodata had put BMW in the top spot, registration data from R.L. Polk shows that Mercedes customers registering new vehicles topped the Bavarian automaker in the most recent calendar year. Polk says Benz posted 274,123 registrations, compared with BMW's 268,498.
In terms of sales posted, BMW had bested Benz 281,460 to 274,134. But sales are recorded somewhat inconsistently from automaker to automaker. Some book the sales as soon as they are shipped from factory to dealer. There is perennial gamesmanship between the two German rivals, and the sales numbers suggest that BMW pushed out some extra sheetmetal to dealers in the last four weeks of the year.
The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard is a limo with a bulletproof vest
Thu, Sep 22 2016As fabulously plush as the Mercedes-Maybach Pullman is, there is a certain class of individual for which luxury is only part of the equation. Oligarchs, dictators, kingpins of questionable businesses, and probably some legitimate world leaders all love luxury, but they sometimes face some hairy commutes that demand a bit more protection. For them, the answer to their luxury car needs is the armored Pullman Guard. The Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard tops the line of S-Class Guard models that also includes the Mercedes-Benz S600 Guard and the Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard. Like the non-armored Pullman it packs loads of leather, seats with practically infinite adjustability, and redundant gauges for rear passengers. It is also by far the longest S-Class vehicle available, stretching more than 40 inches longer than the next-longest Mercedes-Maybach. This tremendous length allows the Pullman Guard to have four-passenger seating in the rear, with two seats facing two others. It's the perfect place to sign treaties or entertain diplomats. Or, if foreign affairs aren't your speed, it would also be a convenient place to carve up territory, issue ultimatums to enemies, and intimidate dissidents. The Pullman Guard was developed alongside the standard Pullman, and because of that, the added armor does not sacrifice interior space. The armor does affect weight, though. The Pullman Guard weighs over 11,000 pounds. But, in return, the steel plates on the sides and floor, non-Kevlar-brand high-strength fabrics, and polycarbonate-backed windows protect occupants from bullets and explosives. Plus, the Pullman Guard features a twin-turbo V12 that produces 530 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque to haul the added ballast around. If a recognized authority is ordering a Pullman Guard, Mercedes also offers sirens, flashing lights, two-way radios, an emergency starter battery, and a loudspeaker system. These items are sure to be useful when trying to navigate seas of protestors in the streets. All of this extra protection will cost you though, and if you have to ask, you definitely can't afford it. But we'll tell you the price anyway. A standard Pullman will run around $500,000 at current exchange rates. For the Guard model, be prepared to shell out about $1.56 million. It's a steep price for sure, but for those whose pampered lives are in danger, it's probably worth it.
